i just watched one of the fancam at that concert...this is so sad during snsd performance, the whole place became dark and no one cheer for them..only at the soshi fan's part there were some light and it was so beautiful scene that SOSI pink's words glow at that time...the one who take the video is suju's fan and of course she/he sat at the suju part, and i can clearly heard that the fans there shout for wonder girls to come out and in the of snsd performance they all boo them...this really make me pissed off and i really wanna punch all those people.....

but......i cannot blame them, i also watched the other fancam that showed the incident when the suju's banner was riped..the fan shout, scream and cry that time...even though i'm not suju fan, but it's really rip my heart apart to watch this happen...

I haven't watched the vid. Actually, I just don't want to, I'm not even in the mood to watch the TV versions of the perfs . But I've read this news article, it mentioned the banner incident and provided a few caps, but it didn't say who did it. So I ask...who did it? Did those people wear fanclub t-shirts or walk from/to SNSD section? I just want a solid proof. The caps I saw were so dark, I could barely see anything. -_-

The article said taht the whole concert was somewhat of a chaos and it wasn't just about the banners or the ten-minutes plan. There was a pic of people getting off of their sections and trying to get to the VIP section and such.

When's the next M net concert with these crazy people again? I wonder what tricks they're gonna pull.

Quote from: sookyung.multiply.com <3
"Dream Concert" was held on 7th June, that sees many artistes performing like So Nyeo Shi Dae, Dong Bang Shin Ki, WonderGirls, SS501, Epik High, SuJu, MC Mong, Shinee etc.
But what had really got netizens talking was during SM girl idol group SNSD's performance. There was a "10 minutes silence" during SNSD's performance. There was silence and no reaction from fans while SNSD was performing. (Except for SNSD fans) And this had called for an open battle amongst fans on the internet.
Dong Bang Shin Ki's fanclub "Cassiopeia", Super Junior's fanclub "Elf" and SS501's fanclub "Triple S" had made consensus not to respond to SNSD's performance.
No light sticks were on during SNSD's performance, and the whole audience crowd became very dark with only SNSD's fans having their lightsticks turned on.
There are many rumours going on about the cause of the incidents - inital clash between Super Junior fans and SNSD fans that turned out really bad, or that SNSD fans had torn down Dong Bang Shin Ki and Super Junior fans' posters before the show.
But what exactly happened caused such an embarrassing scene is still unclear.

... and only 40 security personnels &  2 emergency medical unit for 50000 fans o_O

A lot of this is hearsay, I think.

- The other fans (mostly those of DBSK, SuJu and SS501) went silent and turned off their penlights during SNSD's performance. Some also shouted insults or cheered on another group during their perf. For this, you can just see in any vids.

- Those people claimed that they only did that because some SNSD fans tore down their artists' banners first, while some said that the incident actually happened after the boycott. For this, there's a vid (vids?) of the incident but I have yet to see anything to indicate who those people were.

- While they claimed they did it over the banner incident, the "10 minutes" plan has been talked about everywhere weeks before the concert actually happened.

There are also rumours about who beat up who and whatnots.

By the way, my synopsis might be totally biased.

Disappointed in SoTaku & CaTriEl's fan-battle

Lack of preparation, staff and management resulted in injuries at the 14th annual Dream Concert.

The Korean Entertainment Production Association hosted the music festival, "I Love Korea! Dream Concert 2008" on June 7th at the Seoul JamSil Olympic Stadium with DBSK, Wonder Girls, Super Junior, Epik High, ss501, Mc Mong and 20 other singers.
The concert attracted 50000 fans which was higher than the expected volume and resulted in chaos due to lack of security and safety officers hired by the management.

Fans rushed towards the empty seats on the ground near the front of the stage soon after the concert began. The rush resulted in injuries and the concert had to be stopped to re-organize the infield.

Disputes between the fanclubs was also a problem.

The dispute began when DBSK's fanclub Casseopia, SS501's fanclub Triple S and SuJu's fanclub ELF (CaTriEl) demonstrated a 10 minutes of silence during the performance of SNSD as a retaliation against the mostly male-based SNSD fanclub.

It was also found that a male-based fanclub of Wonder Girls (Wonderful) indirectly supported the demonstration which lead to a battle between the fanclub cultures. Also, using the variation of "otaku", SNSD fans are being referred as "SoTaku" and Wonder Girls fans as "WonTaku" by its rival fanclubs.

Fans are voicing their opinions on the '10 minute silence' incident. They were quoted, "Fights occur when two groups are equally at fault" and "There is nothing to be proud of the fact that the two groups are involved in this confrontation but SNSD fans should sincerely apologize for their violent behaviour against other fans (physically) and CaTriEl should officially apologize to the singers or to the fans for their '10 minute silence' incident" and that instead of pointing fingers, they should respect each other as a sign of being a mature fan.

SNSD's silence and dangerous behaviour. What happened to fan-culture?

The crowd of 50000 overwhelmed the anticipated numbers and caused accidents at the Dream Concert which took place at the Seoul Olympic Main Stadium. The immature behaviour of the fanclubs was frowned upon.

The accidents began with the destruction of the fence due to the competition of the 'good' seats. The absence of safety awareness was clearly revealed by their actions. Few fans were injured and the concert was delayed for 20 minutes to clear out the area and move the wounded to the ambulance.

That was not the end. The confrontation between the fanclubs also ruined the performance atmosphere.
The media has indicated that the fanclub culture has lost its intent when other rival fanclubs kept silent during SNSD's performance. The 10 minutes of silence during the SNSD's performance by the male-group fanclubs was clearly visible and revealed the current situation of our (Korea's) fan culture's lack of etiquette and manners.

Dream Concert festival which has been running for over 10 years have simply turned into a battleground for fanclubs rather than a celebration and a get-together of music fans. Majority of the people agree that a change in the behavour of fanclubs is needed.

Actually, the video I saw of people ripping the banners had background music that was supposed to be put to show how much it hurt the elves/cassies/whoever or something like that, but now that you mention it it might be put to cover the song that was being performed in that moment so that people couldn't know when it happened. I don't know, maybe I'm reading too much into it.

Edit: Is it just me or does Sungmin sound afraid of his own fans with all the soft talking and the "~"? It's good that he at least talked about it and all but come on...

I think Sungmin said as much as management will really allow him to say, to be honest. And he's saying more than anybody else has, so I can't fault him for not saying more.

You gotta remember that SM really doesn't want to lose any fans. These girls have already justified all their crappy actions as for their oppas' sake (though I feel the truth has more to do with their own jealousy of our beautiful girls). Having SuJu members coming out and blasting crazed Cassiopeians would actually hurt these crazed fans, and may cause SM to lose some fanclub members. Whereas doing the right thing and having SuJu members condemn the whole mess won't do anything to increase the number of fans of SuJu OR SNSD. It's really just a matter of business.

Yeah, I know the boys scolding the fangirls isn't convenient for any of the fanclubs but these fans' behavior is getting out of hand, and I dont' mean just the DC fiasco, some of their actions border delinquency. Someone really has to tell a couple of things to them and I have the feeling that they won't listen to those things as long as their idols call them "most lovable angels in the world" after concerts like these.

I'm not talking exclusively about Sungmin, I do appreciate a lot his message, but I'm pretty sure all those idols feel ashamed of having those psychos doing retarded things for their sake(or they should), and someone has to start telling them off.

Huh? nothing happened to YoonA o_o
She's just doing lots of acting and commercial stuff...

Sales are pretty much irrelevant to the situation right now. I'm sure it hasn't really affected much. SNSD is a new group, they've only had one album and one single which were released last year. Plus k-pop is not like j-pop in which they release a single every couple few months, and in many cases don't release singles at all.
Album sales are a poor indication of popularity anyways. As song/ringtone downloads, online searching, and a bunch of other crap will indicate current popularity better.

And of course a lot of this hate towards them from fans of boybands is jealousy. They have hardly any other reason.

they booed SNSD even before the banner incident, someone that went to the concert posted, that during the intro at the beginning of the concert and when the girls were introduced through the screen, they were booing the crap out of them and already being rude and sticking their middle fingers. she posted a clip too ..

my post on soshi stalker

some dumbass fan posted a list of "wrong doings" that snsd did to "deserve" the 10 minute thing, and i was just like wtf .. the list was complete dumb.

http://www.soshistalker.com/?p=858#comments

sooyoung posted two ufos too.

anyways if you guys want we're taking messages for the Chunji Care Package for the girls ..

http://tvzonebbs6.media.daum.net/griffin/d...amp;searchValue

Basically it's saying:

1. ELF started it :] EVERYTHING

2. Cass and Triple dragged into it

3. Antis made mini cooper up and made it look like other ppl said it (most antis = ELF) and antifan site made pre debut by ELF

4. Why ELF so bean pie = some1 coined the phrase, "supergirls" they thought "super-" is supposed to be only for their suju. So they al started pinkberrying

5. Banner was being moved by security and etc. not being ripped, because they were making space for unseated ppl. Those pics are shopped :3

So basically, ELF is to blame =D for starting all this mini cooper just cuz some1 said supergirls and that name supergirls was coined by an ELF.
Elf was the one that spread rumors to cass and triple.
Elf was the first ones to make antifan site and that was b4 debut

ELF was making mini cooper up like rape.
Rape didn't happen.
And the vids posted are all staged

And they say snsd fans stabbed elf cass triple
If they did, it'd be all over the news but nothing was on the news.

They're like, "we're going to post pics then" and its been 2 days
But they still didnt...

Elf was the first ones to make antifan site and that was b4 debut

Yeah, it was at night, so it was either during the concert or after.

The more I read about the concert, the crazier it seemed to be. Some said there were people bringing knives to the concert, people getting beaten up, people being sent to the hospitals... What the fuck is wrong with these people?? I agree with the media, there need to be some change. But it'd be hard to change people, so I guess they need stricter rules.

Nice project, soy, Thank you :). I'll try to think of something nice. I suck at writing XD. By the way, is there a traffic problem at Soshified? I can't get there most of the time now. :-\

What's the word on the sign say?

It says 침묵 which means "silence". It's just her old habit from her old job at a golf court that she got fired from. :P

Also...

Isak singing Kissing You;
By that bug again!!!

eta: Just saw Soy's post above... WOW. I....don't know what to say.
I do agree about the stabbing deal. Ain't that a felony? It would've been on the news if it was true.
And wth is pinkberry???

Oh, I heard ELF are now camping outside DC Comics to protest on Superman. :3
