But yeah Yoona is a workhorse. I'm almost ready to wish she just focus on one thing even if it means leaving the group. :/ Hopefully this drama will be over by the time they start really promoting the new album, cause that itself is crazy enough. And hopefully she won't start another one until they're completely done promoting this one.

Can't wait for a new song. Hopefully it has some cool dance. From what I hear SM artists usually take up a more cool/darker style for the 2nd album?

I hate daily dramas. She's been getting a few hours of sleep a week. Seriously, except from people with psychological problems, who the heck sleeps only a few hours a week! And it's caused the group some gigs too since some wanted all 9 to be there but the group couldn't give them that. I heard that the drama will end at the end of this year while Yoona will stop shooting in Oct. I don't know if they already have everything in stock or they're gonna kill her off . They can't do that, right? Since she's the protagonist?

Darker style = SMP? T.O.P is SMP. Don't Don, Rising Sun, Girls On Top...those are SMP. Some article even called ITNW SMP-styled . SMP is always a big change, but I don't know... It's cool with the dark image and strong choreograph, but you know they barely sing an SMP song live. Plus, I find the music style somewhat outdated. Maybe if they have a new style for SMP... Just don't go retro. Every damn girl group goes retro now, even SeeYa.

Another rumour concerning the new album from milkye. The guy said that his sis was in tradional Korean harp band in this university. The band was contacted by SM like a week ago to participate in SNSD's new album.

The said instrument is called "Gayageum (가야금)"


 
The right one, I think. It's supposed to have 12 strings.

Has nice sound qualities, and surprisingly sounded a lot different than the Japanese koto, though it looks pretty similar. I think I like the Gayageum more. But hearing it doesn't really give any indication on how the song will sound as it could work in so many styles. I just know it will probably be all pretty sounding and stuff. I really hope this is true since it's nice to know they're stepping up for the recording of this album with the use of real instruments, and even traditional ones. A big step away from what we've been getting from most recent popular k-pop songs which use almost no real instruments. I hope they use more than just this and it'll have lots of real instruments. And not just the acoustic guitar either...

Umm...yah, what you said . To me, traditional instruments in pop music tends to give a more sophiticated feel too. This should be good...if it's true.

that's why im glad when ppl doing retro since 2007 but soshi stick to K-POP feels like old days of kpop with their cutie sounds hahaha

Do as you please. You're the boss. Personally i think it's better to wait until there's some actual info on it. If not, then it'll probably need a new thread when it's out, to sort out all the speculations that will be posted before official info.

Noticed I never said how awesome the OST songs they recently did were. Actually like Day by Day more than the Taeyeon solo. It's nice but it's lacking something that Manyage had, it's a pretty generic ballad I thought but Taeyeon is awesome in it. Day By Day is actually I think one of their best songs so far. It's in an under appreciated style of music though.
