Woman tries to flush baby

The family of a 20-year-old woman disputes claims by police that the woman tried to flush her newborn son down a toilet at a McDonald's restaurant.

Didn't know she was pregnant... either she was really fat, vomits all the time, and extremely stupid, or that's fucking bullshit.

Now she has kidney failure and the kid is doing fine

Not knowing she was pregnant, unless the baby was tiny, its kind of difficult to miss that swollen midsection.

Now she has kidney failure and is in need of a donor.
At least the baby is doing fine.

Wait, both she and the family didn't know she was pregnant? The woman didn't have some sort of notion of what was happening when she went into labour? She didn't call for help at any time? Sorry, but either she's lying through her teeth or she's just incredibly ignorant.

There have been times that some woman are unaware that they're pregnant.
I do remember hearing of this a number of years back.

Be that as it may, its same to say that those were a very tiny percent of times when it might happen.
Usually, its always very evident when a woman is pregnant.

How about a bit of sensitivity, in this case, since the media will always try to paint it in a one-sided and sensationalistic  light.

I'm not going to jump to conclusions, but I will say that that is very . . strange. ; But if she honestly didn't know she was pregnant, that must have been really scary for her . .

Ah, yeah. A coworker of mine didn't know she was pregnant until the third month... But I don't really get how a woman cannot know she's pregnant!  Well, except for the first month, that's it.

No it does happen because there was a story over here, a woman started to give birth not knowing she was pregnant as in not feeling sick and normal periods. Her daughter(very young at the time) had a nurse on the phone and had to play midwife and all.

Glad the baby is fine but I hope she's going to be ok.

well, Nono and (her MoMusu mentor) Kaorin didnt realize they were preggy until much later either.
and, also, it also happens that some women with irregular mentrual periods dont realize theyre pregnant too.

it's a denial/unawarness of pregnancy;
sometimes they only win few kilos, and when they 1st know it's a shock and sometimes too late.

remember the Courjault couple : the mum killed her babies and the family didn't know she has been pregnant ( 3 times ! )...
