Oh man Koharu XD Poor Ai-chan. I wonder how long the other girls teased her about this. Regardless, I'm sure Ai is gonna enjoy great success with QED. I can feel it in my bones :P

Everyone, I'm back! It's 3 in the morning but I just HAD to write this after seeing the article about the QED press conference. Thank goodness I understand Japanese. XD
Lucky.  :-\

Quote
"Ah~ Leader's finally here~ We can start practice now!" Tanaka Reina announced as the leader of Morning Musume, one Takahashi Ai, stepped into the room.

"Ah, sorry I'm late everyone! My manager called me for something." Apologizing profusely, obviously embarrassed by being the last one in, she set her bag down and hurried over as everyone gathered round to start.
Knowing how Aichan's got issues about punctuality, for her to be the late one is pretty ironic...not to mention that it makes her an easy target for those verbal jabs by Reina. :P

Quote
I just have something important to tell you guys..." Ai started, but was cut off by a wide-eyed Sayumi, who exclaimed.

"They're not going to graduate you, are they?" Sayu clung to Ai's side. "They can't do that, can they?"
Awwwwwwwww...Sayu doesn't want to lose reedah.
:wriggly:

Quote
"Does that mean I get to be lead?" Reina mused out loud, but Aika jabbed her playfully in the side, teasing.

"No way! Takahashi-san's way better~" Reina turned with a mock growl and pretended to lunge at Aika, who laughed and sidestepped. In any case, Reina only flicked a finger at Aika's forehead.
Good ol' TanaMittsi fun.

Quote
"Brat." Reina muttered, although there was no malice in it. Next to her, Eri giggled out loud.

"No, that's Gaki-san!" Everybody looked at her.
Reina = :on thumbb:
Eri = :bingo:
Everyone else = :dizzy:

*AICHAN'S ANNOUNCEMENT*
Everyone else = :onioncheer: :onioncheer: :onioncheer:

Quote
"It's called Q.E.D Shoumei Shuuryou. Apparently, it's kind of like Conan."

Blank stares. Except from, well, Sayu, who burst out excitedly.

"Ah, I love detective stories! This will be so cool!" Sayu's gushing helped to clear up the confusion for the non-otaku members.

"Detective story?"
Sayu -

Everyone else -

WOTA SAYU!!!

Quote
She had thought that the worst of over, but no, apparently she had forgotten about the 'Miracle'.

"Aren't you already an obachan?"

Dead silence. One could most likely hear a pin drop in that room, it was that bad.
Oshit...
:mon scare:

Quote
Thankfully, one Mitsui Aika, wise beyond her years, clapped a hand over Koharu's mouth and hauled her away before their pint-sized leader could kill with the icy daggers coming from her eyes.
Aichan @ Koharu = :gmon pissed:

Quick thinking Aika, you probably just saved your senpai's skin. :yep:

Quote
P.S. That Which Was To Be Demonstrated is actually the English translation of the Latin term Q.E.D, or quod erat demonstratum. I thought it would be appropriate lol.
The fact that you mentioned at the beginning that you had watched the press conference was another nice hint.

I'm back~

Don't ask me why I wrote this. I don't know. XD

Anyway, I might turn this into a story, or I might not. Who knows? XD

=========================================================

In the Habit

"What do you want to eat after this, Eri?"

3 girls walked down a dark alley, seemingly with no concern for danger of any kind. Their shadows were long in the flickering streetlight suspended high ahead, hiding their features from closer view.

What it did not hide though, was the fact that these 3 girls were all, in fact, nuns. Or wearing the habits of a nun. It was uncertain if they were actually nuns or just cosplaying, especially since the girl in the lead did not act very much like a nun.

"Why does Sayu only ask Eri and not Reina?" The shortest one, who was also the one in the lead, asked with a rising note in her voice, as if playfully annoyed. The one she addressed as Sayu giggled as she walked hand in hand with the other girl named Eri.

"Because Reina always only wants to eat yakiniku, so I don't need to ask~"

Reina pouted. "What's wrong with yakiniku? It's great!"

"Yeah, all that meat and everything...Reina's such a carnivore~" Sayumi teased as she prodded the shorter girl's shoulder. The three of them had halted in the middle of that darkened street, still playfully squabbling over inconsequential things.

"Speaking of meat, I think there's some fresh ones out there." Eri, who had been quiet for a while, suddenly spoke up. She was staring into the darkness in that spacey way of hers, but there was a peculiar alertness to her dark eyes.

Reina wrinkled her nose. "Fresh? More like rotten..." The tiny nun-wannabe took a step out, wonky eye twitching violently. "Looks like we have company..."

A wet, smacking sound in the distance, followed by an unearthly groan. Sayumi cringed.

"Sounds like a big one..." Rolling her eyes, she shook back her sleeves to reveal the rosaries binding her wrists as she rapidly made the sign of a cross before raising her hands. The beads began to glow, and the 6-pointed star illuminated behind her as the barrier went up.

"Just when I'm hungry too..." Eri complained, pouting as she also held out her hands, as if in supplication to some higher power. "Do you think there are any places open this late in this part of town?" A peculiar sigil glowed behind her, and fire wreathed around her feet as she extended one hand into the rising flames.

"Well I know of this cool 24-hour place..." Reina suggested as she raised one fist into the air, electricity crackling in the air around her. Spreading her palm open, she reached up and grasped a familiar handle.

An earth-shattering roar cut off anything else Reina was going to add, as a gigantic creature of shadow and flame oozed its way into the material plane. It was vaguely blob-like, dark as night and almost blending into the shadows, but it was of a darkness more intense than the mere absence of light. One glowing red eye opened in the middle, followed by dozens of smaller ones.

"Ew." Sayu complained as an acidic spurt of shadow came hurtling in her general direction. A shimmering shield of light blocked the blow, but the impact of the projectile made it glow purple in the night. Backpedaling quickly, she sent an energy arc hurtling back towards the ugly blob thing, but the creature merely absorbed the blow as if it were nothing.

"Keh, trash from the Netherworld should just go back to hell where they belong." As always, Reina was already charging ahead, seemingly unencumbered by the flowing robe she was wearing. She held an enormous sword perpendicular before her, the length of the blade even taller than her form. What made the blade most impressive was not the reality of its length, but rather the fact that it was formed out of pure energy and glowed like the sun.

"Reina, look out!" A dark tentacle had been lashing towards the tiny girl's unprotected back, but Sayu's warnings were unneeded as a crimson scythe separated the tentacle from its source with a single fiery slash.

"Reina, you owe me another ice cream!" Eri called as she nimbly dodged another dark projectile, trying to catch up to Reina's reckless charge.

"Get Gaki-san to raise our allowance first before I can buy you anything!" Reina yelled back as she slashed vertically upwards, skidding on asphalt as her short height allowed her to easily duck another tentacle swipe.

"You know that will never happen!" Sayu interjected as she cast another quick spell on Eri, glowing orbs starting to rotate around the scythe-wielder. Eri nodded briefly at Sayu before jumping into the air and running down one raised tentacle as if it were a pathway. Negative energy sparked around her, but was canceled out by the glowing orbs of white light.

Beneath her, Reina ran one hand over her glowing blade as it sparked brightly underneath her touch. Her lips were moving to some unknown prayer as she rolled to dodge another crushing swipe, and her hair was beginning to frizz out wildly as the electricity built up around her.

"Ready?" Eri was busily jumping from tentacle to tentacle, trying to get closer to the main core of the shadow creature. Reina grinned savagely as she thrust her blade into the earth, cracking the ground as a sphere of pure energy crackled around her.

"Ready when you are!" Sayu called out, her staff held out in front of her. A glowing circle with runes was already before her, and she began to chant in some strange tongue as Reina and Eri charged up their attacks.

"Eat this!" Reina bared her teeth savagely as her bright blade leapt forward in a straight thrust. An incandescent energy surrounded her, turning her into nothing more than a bright arrow spearing ahead with little care for what lay in its path. A paranormal figure appeared to be superimposed on her form, also wielding that same giant blade of light and with great wings wrapping around her slender figure.

Above, Eri had also leapt high into the air at the same time, right above the core of the creature. Her scythe seemed to morph into flame in her hands, reforming into a fiery sword between her palms as she arched over, great fiery wings erupting from her back. The afterimage of a winged figure seemed merged with her own form, taking hold of the flaming sword and plunging it straight down even as the sword of light pierced it from below.

The resulting crash was blinding, smoke rising after the explosion. Sayu raised one hand as her prayer ascended to its apex, and she brought one hand down as chains of pure light burst out of the magic circle before her, hurtling into the midst of the smoke.

"Seal!" Her voice was high, almost strained, and her chains appeared to be struggling with something before strengthening and binding whatever was within the smoke.

Reina wandered back out of the smoke, her nun's habit more than a little scuffed and singed around the edges. Behind her, Eri wore her usual goofy grin as she followed behind the youngest of the trio towards an exhausted Sayumi.

As the smoke cleared behind them, there were unmistakable signs of a rift closing, bound and chained by the astral links that the exorcist had called up. She had just about finished her job when her comrades came to a stop on either side of her.

"Ha....that was tiring..." Sayu huffed as the rift closed, her face pale from the exertion.

"That was the third one tonight...been really busy around here lately." Reina commented, dusting herself off. "You ok now, Sayu?"

"More or less..." She looked at her partners critically. "Are you two hurt anywhere?"

"Just a scratch on my elbow." Reina shrugged. Sayu frowned as she stepped forward, her hands already glowing as she placed them on the sizable gash on the pint-sized nun's left arm.

"Mou, Reina...don't keep charging into things like that..." She scolded as the gash began to close up underneath her hands. Reina smirked.

"I don't need to worry so much since we have a portable healer with us~" Sayu rolled her eyes.

"See if I can heal you if you end up dead." Reina stuck her tongue out childishly at the older.

"I'm really hungry now." Eri piped up, playing with a strand of her lustrously dark hair. The other two stared at her, then at each other. Reina shrugged again.

"Guess we better get something to eat before we report back..." Sayu pursed her lips together thoughtfully.

"Gaki-san will be mad at us if we're late again..." Reina quirked an eyebrow.

"Do I look like I give a damn?"

"Language!" Sayu laughed. "What kind of a nun are you?"

"The butt-kicking kind." Reina breezed off as the three started walking again, continuing their light-hearted conversation.

Just a day in the life of a bunch of demon exterminators.

~*~*~

"Did you know how much damage you did to public property again this time!?" A loud voice screeched at them as they lined up in front of a large table. Reina was absently checking her nails while Sayu and Eri appeared to be whispering to each other, completely ignoring the scolding.

"Hey we did the job just fine. Quit complaining." Reina grumbled. A heavy sigh from their superior.

"Do you know how many reports I have to write to cover up the damages and stuff? Seriously..."

"Don't worry so much Gaki-san, you'll get wrinkles!" Sayumi warned as she looked up from her earnest inspection of Eri's hands. For her part, Eri seemed to be in a dazed state again. From a prophetic vision of simply lack of sleep, it was hard to tell at this point.

"Oh well, can't be helped." Gaki-san, otherwise known as Niigaki Risa, tried to give them the sternest look she could muster. It didn't turn out too well, but she tried. Reina only yawned.

"Risa, are you done yet?" A soft voice called from behind another set of doors.

"Ah, Ai-chan! Did I wake you?" Risa's voice became gentler as she addressed the sleepy-looking girl who had just wandered into her office.

"Don't get so upset with each other, the energy's very disturbing." Ai said simply as she rubbed at her eyes, the heavy pendant around her neck clinking as she moved.

"Sorry..." They had almost forgotten how sensitive the girl was. Ai gave the trio a piercing look.

"Go wash before you enter the dorms. The children might have nightmares if you come in radiating that much negative energy." The three girls mumbled their assent and shifted uncomfortably, feeling suitably chastised.

"Go sleep, Ai-chan. You have to wake up early in the morning." Risa suggested quietly.

"Alright." The tiny young woman blinked sleepily. "You get some rest soon too."

They watched as Ai left as quickly as she had come. Reina was the first to break the relative silence.

"I just don't get it sometimes...why do we all end up listening to her even when we are the ones doing all the work?"

Risa gave her the evil eye. "Don't talk about things you don't understand." At the three of them, she sighed as she glanced at the reports before her. "You're dismissed."

"Aye aye Ma'am!"

Anyway, that was interesting. Imagining them as nuns was half the fun...  :cow:

Ahahaha! Nuns! This is a good read.

The last part with Ai-chan and her pendant definitely reminded me of Chrono Crusade. Such a sad series. T_T

Reina using a giant sword bigger than her gave me an image of Mikoto from Mai-Hime. XD

If you do start this as a new series, you'll have like 4 on-going series!! XD

In the Habit

I read the title, and immediately thought of "nuns" for some reason. :?

Rosaries? Well, that rules out their being vampires (since religious artifacts like rosaries are supposed to be harmful to them).

As for the 6-pointed star...the Star of David? But that's a symbol of Judaism; nuns are a Christian thing...or am I looking too deep into the religious thing? :O

Le gasp! XD I'm back with another Nun story. XD Should I just go ahead and give it its own thread and increase pressure on myself to finish even MORE stories....

Nahhhhhh. XD

Unless you guys really want to see it. Haha. :P

And here goes~

============================================

That Nun Story Part 2

Glória in excélsis Deo...

A clear, rich voice rose unfalteringly into the highest point of the nave, the purity of the tone making people pause in their steps just to listen and marvel at the sound of it.

The children stared wide-eyed at their angelic caretaker, who was currently lifting her voice in song, her face ecstatic as she drove into the notes with all her power. The sun seemed to glow even more brilliantly in the sky, shining down a peaceful benediction on the quaint little church they were in.

As the hymn faded down to the last, quavering 'Amen', the children surged forward to swamp the tiny young woman standing in front of the altar. Smiling, Takahashi Ai ruffled the hair of a few of the smaller children, the taller ones being too far for her to reach. The homeless children clamored around her, wanting to hear more, but she shook her head in quiet amusement, gently shooing them to their lessons.

"Risa, are you busy?" Ai asked curiously as she poked her head into the study. A very harried looking Niigaki Risa looked up, a ready smile for her best friend and fellow nun. The two had met when they too were mere children like those outside at the moment, with no place to go or call home. The Order had raised them, and trained them to enter its service. And now there was no other place they would rather be.

"Never too busy for you." She put down her pen and took off her reading glasses, making her look about 10 years younger instantly. Ai grinned as she closed the door behind her, dropping the more mature face she had with the children outside. When this pair of childhood friends were together, they tended to revert back to type.

"So what's been going on outside lately?" Her manner was relaxed, yet brisk and almost boyish at the same time. Risa looked up at the older girl as she sat down on the arm of the large chair Risa was sitting in.

"Unexpected rash of demon crossings..." Risa frowned at the thick stack of reports, taking another file and showing it to Ai, who also had a concerned look on her face.

"Is there any pattern to the rifts opening so far?" Ai studied the data intently as Risa shook her head.

"Unfortunately, no. It seems to be completely random." Risa massaged her temples wearily. "We're stretching those three out to their limits every night, just enough to make sure the threat is contained, but they can't keep doing that forever..."

"Do you need my help? I can go out with them." Ai offered, absently playing with the ornately carved pendant around her neck. The cubic design on it seemed to glow under her touch, drawing Risa's gaze to it.

"You know I can't let you do that." Risa met Ai's gaze resolutely. Ai sighed and looked down.

"I know...but isn't this kind of ridiculous? My guardian angel is supposed to be engaged in eternal battle with the forces of darkness, but I'm such a useless avatar that I can't even go out into the frontlines..."

Risa smiled and took Ai's hand into her own, squeezing it comfortingly.

"Sandalphon isn't just about battle, Ai-chan. He is also the Angel of Prayer and Benediction." Risa turned Ai's palm upwards, their eyes meeting. "I'm sure you were chosen for your voice. Make a joyful sound to the Lord!"

Ai had a resigned expression on her face. "We all serve in our own ways..." Gripping the pendant tightly with her free hand, a shadow of bitterness flitted across her face.

Risa stood up and pulled Ai into a comforting embrace.

"Don't think about it too much, Ai-chan. It's not your fault..."

The seal of Metatron glowed in her hand as she buried her face into Risa's shoulder, and the younger patted the older girl on the back as quiet little sobs were buried into a sympathetic shoulder.

"There there..." Risa murmured. Ai could be such a crybaby sometimes, but she would never have it any other way. In between choked sobs, Risa was suddenly aware of a soothing effect washing over her as Ai started to hum softly.

She sang the Magnificat, in a low voice and alone, tears still streaming down her face. Risa hummed a quiet harmony alongside, but was broken out of it when she saw a glow behind her friend.

The shimmering image of angel's wings, curved out from Ai's back and wrapping them both in a tender embrace. The light touch of feathers on one cheek, and the whisper of an ethereal voice.

Come, all ye faithful...

Takagaki  Poor Ai-chan, she wants to kick some demon butt, but can't. :(

Now all you need is some nuns with guns. XD

Aww, chaste TakaGaki.

Somehow, I expect Ai's voice to be meant for much more than just singing.  :yep: But maybe it's just hopeful thinking. :P

That Nun Story Part 2

Maaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaan...and I just finished the first part of it too.  :sweatdrop:

Quote
A clear, rich voice rose unfalteringly into the highest point of the nave, the purity of the tone making people pause in their steps just to listen and marvel at the sound of it.
Aichan, ne? :)

Quote
"Risa, are you busy?" Ai asked curiously as she poked her head into the study. A very harried looking Niigaki Risa looked up, a ready smile for her best friend and fellow nun. The two had met when they too were mere children like those outside at the moment, with no place to go or call home. The Order had raised them, and trained them to enter its service.
This is no ordinary "order" they're in, is it?

Quote
"Unexpected rash of demon crossings..." Risa frowned at the thick stack of reports, taking another file and showing it to Ai, who also had a concerned look on her face.

"Is there any pattern to the rifts opening so far?" Ai studied the data intently as Risa shook her head.

"Unfortunately, no. It seems to be completely random." Risa massaged her temples wearily. "We're stretching those three out to their limits every night, just enough to make sure the threat is contained, but they can't keep doing that forever..."
Makes you wonder a bunch of things. How do they select or find the ones that go out to fight? Where do the powers come from? Has this order always had responsibility?  :?

Quote
"Do you need my help? I can go out with them." Ai offered, absently playing with the ornately carved pendant around her neck. The cubic design on it seemed to glow under her touch, drawing Risa's gaze to it.

"You know I can't let you do that." Risa met Ai's gaze resolutely. Ai sighed and looked down.

"I know...but isn't this kind of ridiculous? My guardian angel is supposed to be engaged in eternal battle with the forces of darkness, but I'm such a useless avatar that I can't even go out into the frontlines..."
Avatar? Guardian angels? So then...the girls must each have one, and they are therefore just vessels through which the angels' powers are channeled to combat the demons?

But wait a sec, why did Aichan say she was a useless as an avatar? :(

Quote
"Sandalphon isn't just about battle, Ai-chan. He is also the Angel of Prayer and Benediction." Risa turned Ai's palm upwards, their eyes meeting. "I'm sure you were chosen for your voice. Make a joyful sound to the Lord!"

Ai had a resigned expression on her face. "We all serve in our own ways..." Gripping the pendant tightly with her free hand, a shadow of bitterness flitted across her face.
Ah, so it depends on who their guardian angel is, and what powers he/she has?  If that's the case, then yeah, prayer and benediction, while all well and good, isn't going to be the first thing one looks to during a fight with a demon that's trying to rip your head off.

Quote
The seal of Metatron glowed in her hand as she buried her face into Risa's shoulder, and the younger patted the older girl on the back as quiet little sobs were buried into a sympathetic shoulder.
But I thought Sandalphon was Aichan's guardian angel...who's this Metatron?

BTW, I initially read that as "Megatron". XD

Quote
She sang the Magnificat, in a low voice and alone, tears still streaming down her face. Risa hummed a quiet harmony alongside, but was broken out of it when she saw a glow behind her friend.

The shimmering image of angel's wings, curved out from Ai's back and wrapping them both in a tender embrace. The light touch of feathers on one cheek, and the whisper of an ethereal voice.
Awwwwwwwww...

Quote
I be lazy to come up with new title hehe. XD
Pfffft. Keep the title. Makes it easier to keep them all straight.  O0

I'm on a roll! :D

Here's part 3. Moar nuns!

================================================

Nuns Part 3

"Hey, wake up!" Shake. "Wake up!" Pull. "Come on, wake up already!"

Muffled voices in the background. A very groggy Tanaka Reina burrowed deeper under her blankets. It was too early to go demon hunting, and not quite yet time for lunch. Her internal clock was good enough for that at least.

"SENPAI!!! WAKE UP!!!!"

Bang. Boom. Rustle.

Was that glass cracking or did a mini atom bomb just go off somewhere in the church?

They were about to try waterboarding the comatose kitten when a sleepy-eyed Michishige Sayumi shuffled in with all the grace of a zombie and the deathly glare of a demon directed at the kids trying to wake the oblivious Reina up.

The kids decided it was a good time to make a run for it right about then.

Sayumi shambled over to Reina's bed, where the kittenish young girl was sprawled wildly all over the sheets. Her face was under a pillow with one arm thrown over it. One foot was twitching sporadically, toes wiggling in the air.

Her comrade would really rather leave her in bed. Actually, she would rather be in bed herself too, but something had come up and a certain someone had made it a command appearance. So if Sayu had to suffer, Reina would have to as well.

As for Eri, she had already left the turtle girl staring in a daze at the nearest (or furthest) wall. She would go back to retrieve her beloved Eririn once she managed to drag the kitty out of bed.

Said kitty was currently also muttering something about yakiniku in her sleep. Sayumi shook her head and yawned widely. Maybe she should have brought Eri along...setting fire to Reina's toes would be easier with the walking firebrand around.

She took a second look at Reina, then around the room, before shaking her head. In Eri's present condition, letting her deal with fire in a room full of inflammable material would probably result in Gaki-san crucifying her on the church spire at high noon. That would be terribly inconvenient, not to mention bad for her complexion.

Speaking of complexion, she probably needed more sleep to help with that as well, but since she wasn't going to get anymore today, neither would Reina. Which brought her back to her original purpose. The bunny of the trio began to smirk evilly as a plan came to mind...

Sleeping was terribly difficult to do when one's blood was rushing all the way to one's head. That was the first thought Reina had when the unbearable pressure threatened to push her eyeballs out of their sockets. She was very nearly purple in the face when she caught sight of a smirking Sayumi sitting on a chair.

"Sayu! Let me down now!" Being suspended upside down in midair was not a pleasant experience for Reina. She, who loathed even fairground rides that took her on mild spins in the air, was definitely not dealing very well with being stuck right there as a result of one devious, magical rabbit.

"Are you awake now, Reina?" Sayu asked with sugary-sweet pleasantness. Reina bit off a few curses as she struggled to get upright again. Unfortunately, her element of electricity was not of much use when she was being held by air magic. She only succeeded in shooting sparks all over the place and shorting out not quite a few electronical devices.

Including the much abused alarm clock, because it suddenly exploded as an indirect result of Reina's panic, a stray spring pinging off the kitten's forehead. Needless to say, it did not serve to improve her mood.

Two minutes and a dozen death threats later, Reina was finally back on the ground and walking down the long stone corridor from the dorms to the main courtyard. Dark circles ringed her eyes, making her resemble a raccoon more than her usual cat-like manner.

Sayu seemed to be in a markedly improved mood since her successful prank on her hapless friend. Her attitude went on a positive leap the moment she caught sight of Eri sitting on a bench in the courtyard, and she practically flew to join her best friend's side. Reina plodded along with a lot less energy as she too sank into place on that stone bench.

"Why did Gaki-san make us wake up so early?" Reina grumbled as she pawed sleepily at her eyes. Eri blinked vacantly, before snapping back to attention.

"I think it was Ai-chan who called me..." Eri turned to look at Sayumi, who shrugged. "Gaki-san froze my bed after pouring a bucket of well water on me..."

Reina raised an eyebrow. "So you decided to come bully me right after that?" Eri frowned. "What did you do to Reina?"

"Oh I only left her dangling in midair for a few minutes. It wasn't that bad." Sayumi said a little defensively. Reina sulked. It was that bad for her.

Eri giggled. "I guess I got off easy. Ai-chan pulled me out of my dreams...I was having a splendid one about unicorns and umeboshi too..."

Reina stared. "She can do that?"

Eri scratched her neck absently. "I dunno how, but one moment I was there in my dream, then the next moment I saw her shimmer in and take my hand, and then I woke up." The turtle girl had a puzzled expression on her face.

"Weird..." The other two echoed in unison. Eri grinned.

"At least I didn't end up drenched or dizzy like you two."

That response required no further discussion from the other two members of the famed trio. Eri dissolved into a puddle of squeals as her friends tackled her together, tickling her furiously.

"Ahem!" A familiar voice behind them. Risa gave the three girls a disapproving sort of look, while Ai just looked amused. A pair of strangers stood next to the shorter senior.

"As you can see, this is our three top agents...well, supposedly." Risa commented drily. Ai chuckled. "They're normally more reliable-looking...sort of anyway."

The three girls in question quickly dusted themselves off and got up, trying to retain some form of dignity in front of outsiders. The strangers, one tall and one short, had a distinctly foreign cast to their faces, and their habits were of a slightly different cut than theirs.

"The higher ups in the Order responded to our appeal for reinforcements, so as of today we are welcoming two transfer agents from the Chinese branch." Risa looked over at Ai, who led the newcomers over.

"This is Li Chun." Pointing at the taller one, who bowed politely. "Just call me Junjun."

"And this is Qian Lin." The younger and shorter one also bowed, before bouncing up with a friendly smile on her face. "Just call me Linlin!"

"I want the three of you to show them around the city. You know, what to look out for and where the usual hotspots are." Risa instructed. Reina was the first to raise any objections.

"Why us? Any one of the acolytes can do that!"

Risa sighed. Ai cut in easily.

"Because you three are the ones on active duty, so you will know the ground better than any of the trainees." Ai's voice was firm as she stepped closer to the trio. She might have been small, but she knew how to be intimidating when the situation called for it.

Reina seemed about ready to argue, but something in Ai's eyes discouraged her from doing that. She swallowed her objections and went back to stare at her own feet. Risa smiled at Ai as the older girl returned to her side.

"Also, you'll be taking two of the senior acolytes with you on patrol from now on. They're on probation until they can take the promotional exam. As seniors, you three must take care of them as well." Risa looked over her shoulder.

"Koharu! Aika! Come over here!"

"Hai~" The young teens, their robes pulled together in proper fashion, came over obediently. Reina raised an eyebrow.

"Mitsui! You're on probation already? That's quick!" Aika grinned lopsidedly at the delinquent nun.

"I'll catch up to you soon too, Tanaka-senpai~" Reina laughed.

"In your dreams kid." Risa was smiling at the display of camaderie.

"Alright, now that that's settled, try to get to know each other." She looked over at Ai. "Coming, Ai-chan?"

"Coming..." Ai smiled wistfully at the little gathering before returning to her best friend's side.

"They'll be just fine. All of them."

======================================

The whole lineup's there now. Hehe.

*prances off*

Edit: Oh, to JFC, Metatron is the twin brother to Sandalphon, and is one of the chief angels and also a scribe of all events that have taken place. Metatron also has the power to exorcise demons that even the 4 Archangels cannot dispel. Why does Aichan wear the seal of Metatron? I wonder. XD And lol at the Megatron thing. XDDDD

Thought I would watch today's toradora and go to sleep but curiosity got the better of me and I clicked and started reading.

Hehe since my brain was already in anime mode the first thing that I thought about when I read they were wearing nun outfits was chrono crusader!  (hehe glad I was correct in thinking so)...my alternative thought was that they were too lazy to change out of those horrid ame-hoshi things *shudders*  I swear they are almost on par with those yellow-green-pom-pom outfits *shudders some more*

but anyways I pictured the whole thing in anime style so it was really fun to read =D  tempted to do some chrono styled fan art but since it's the dead of the night...I shouldn't

Sister Gaki being cheap had me rolling...that and imagining her having to come up with all sorts of weird explanation for the damaged buildings

I had the feeling Sayu's power would be support related...she just isn't the athletic type is she? XD  Reina's complaining was the cutest~ <3  I hope none of them turn evil XD  Time to read the next chap~

chapter 2~  awwww....Ai chan seems so young and innocent.  The TakaGaki moment made me want to squeal kawaii~~~  :nya:  I really like the wing thing!  soo pretty sounding and cool!  poor Ai chan though...I must know more! and surprisingly there is more!  crazy~!  I love it when you're on a roll =D

chapter 3~ comatose kitten..hahahaha  :wahaha:  zombie bunny~!  it just keeps getting better XD

Ah so sweet of Sayu to leave Eri in a corner.  Can't believe she kept Reina up in the air for a whole 2 minutes though.  She's either really brave or just that evil ^_^;

Ooo Wonder what kind of niffy powers the others have.

That was a lot of chapters but still craving more~!  ah that's readers greed for ya XD  it's so immensely entertaining and funny  Can't wait to see what happens!

Another chapter already! o.O Damn!!! But this is good~! XD

I'm guessing that while A-chan uses Sandalphon normally, the seal of Metatron (or Megatron :P) keeps her full power in check and she's actually the avatar of Metatron :O
