Things like this are ridiculous, and I hope it gets nowhere. Technology pretty much always drops in price over time. If you want to be an early adopter, you have to accept that you're going to pay more for it than someone who adopts the technology later. If you're not willing to accept the fact that you may pay $100, $200, or whatever more to be the first to get something, then wait and buy it later for a lower price. Don't buy high, then sue when the price drops. You made the choice to buy at the higher price. That's nobody's fault but your own.
That said, I think people were upset with how fast the price dropped, within a few months IIRC, and perhaps that was too fast. I don't know. I think I read that Apple was offering like a $100 or $200 store credit for people who bought early, and if that's right, they're already doing something. A law suit really isn't necessary in the first place, but if Apple's already doing something, it's just stupid overkill.
