From the very beginning, Mariko's story was compelling, and she continued to grow in experience
and character as time passed. The girl who was handing out flyers in Akihabara, later graced the pages of countless
fashion magazines. The girl who issued a stern warning to her kohai, also starred in one of the best PV's (IMHO) which was an uplifting
nod to younger members to believe in themselves (the name of that song? Hint: title includes 'Mariko').
Mariko san could wear some of the goofiest costumes, and say the silliest things, and have fans smiling and laughing with every gag.
You couldn't miss her in PV's - never the strongest singer, but her physical presence was always a memorable part of any PV in which she took part.
With gratitude to Mariko san for her endless hours of hard work and preparation, and all the joy she brought to her fans,
here is to her continued success, and may there be much love and joy in her life!
