i don't think yuko will replace acchan's position as center/face of akb48..aki-p had said that he won't make yuko to take all the burden..
well,yuko is not the center of akb.but,she is a very important member for akb.

I decreased the font size because this might be spoilers to those who haven't watched.

Acchan's presence (not to mention the crowd's reaction to that) really made me surprised and trembling.
When they're together, oh my, it's so emotional, particularly when they hugged and cried, makes me even want to cry as well 
She's there for her and I totally agree when Acchan said "Today, Yuko, you're so sparkling and shinning!"
Hell yeah, she surely is! And I can't take my eyes off her when she's around that chair!
My my, she is so tremendously beautiful to me!

I believed in her all along, but still, when Mayu's name got announced at 2nd, I started crying, shaking, trembling and hyperventilating... Pretty much worse than Yui (though this year she did that less than last year, it was still cute and funny).

Small in stature, but a giant in spirit, talent, and enthusiasm. Yuko is beatutiful, but she can show a cute side, a pretty side, a crazy face side, etc. Always brings her A game, and fearless in any contest or punishment game.

A lot rests on her slender shoulders, and Yuko is perfectly capable of handling it, but fan support undoubtedly helps her.

And a big thanks to the wonderful times created by the Aachan Yuko team- the rivalry/ friendship that helped build the AKB48 success, enchanting fans and inspiring young people in Japan, Asia, and the world and proving that hard work and enthusiasm is the way to go!

I am so happy when the MC announced Yuko as the new center, i was cheering for her in front of my laptop, screaming and shouting her name. Then i started crying when Acchan showed up. It was so emotional, i was crying along with them, you can see how close they are to each other ;__; AKB48 friendship are the best thing i've ever seen <3

I'm also happy for the other members, they deserved it.

I WILL SURELY SUPPORT THIS GIRL UNTIL MY LAST BREATH ENDS.

Oshima Yuko thanks her fans for voting her 1st in AKB48’s 4th General Election

In a widely-publicized event anticipated by AKB48 with fans all over the globe streaming live, AKB48 member Oshima Yuko placed first in the group’s fourth general elections.

The new center for the group’s upcoming twenty-seventh single (which will be released on August 29th) as well as AKB48’s ‘new ace’ with the graduation of Maeda Atsuko, gave two speeches to thank her fans, one on stage during the election and another following the election.

    I’m not outstandingly talented, but I’ve improved my ability to do anything with everything I’ve got, and with a smile on my face. And because you all have watered me and shone on me with a light like the sun, my flower is blooming. But the flower will someday wither away. Please always be there for me like the sun so that it doesn’t die. I really wanted to see this scenery again, so thank you so much. And also, Acchan, since you’re doing your best to open up the path for [all of us], I feel like I have to be the foundation of the path you opened at this rank. When I hear the comments from the other members, I feel as if they all have high ambitions. ‘If that’s the case, I still have more and more I can do,’ is what they [make me] think. I feel like, at this rank, I’ve been told, “I’m going to rely on Oshima Yuko.” AKB48 and the 48 groups are used to working hard, so let us do our best more and more so.  And to all of our fans… please keep shining your sunlight on us forever and ever. Thank you so much.

    Good evening. I’m Oshima Yuko, of AKB48.

    In this senbatsu election, you all made me first place. Thank you so much. It’s something that makes me nervous every single time, and it’s an event that makes me not know what to do. However when I attended today, I felt relaxed.

    At handshake events and such, fans tell me, “It’s okay, please believe us[fans],” so on the big day I waited for the votes to be tallied feeling at ease.

    People have been calling it a change of generations, but it felt really good hearing Shinoda Mariko saying, “Come on [to get to my rank]” to the younger generation. I feel that I want the younger generation to grow up too, and also, I don’t want to lose. I think that I’d like to see the younger generation break through my first place rank, so I will accomplish this task[position] as the wall referred to as ‘first place’.

    When I was made first place for the song ‘Heavy Rotation’, it gave me the chance to be known by everyone from children to the elderly. I have absolutely no idea what kind of song the next one will end up being or how all of you will feel about it. But, I’d like to sing with everyone who’s become senbatsu members while believing in myself and with my own individuality at full-blast because you all have shown me what I’ve done so far, so I’d be happy if you liked it.

    Today when Acchan (Maeda Atsuko) ran out on stage and congratulated me from the bottom of her heart, I was so so happy. Up until yesterday I was incredibly scared and felt really nervous, but then I thought that Acchan probably felt that way too. Only Acchan knows, since she’s stood at this rank before. It’s something I’ve never tasted myself. I felt that way for these past two or three days.

    AKB48 is an amateur idol group whose members don’t know their own rank or where they’ll be heading, but for this reason, I’d like for us to treasure the fact that we have a unifying power and go on doing our best.

    Lastly, I’d like to express a sincere, grateful ‘thank you’ to each country since there are people watching all across the world. Thank you. Je t’aime. After this we will all be chasing our dream, so we’ll be pressing on and trying hard. And of course, please cheer us on warmly.
