To the smart, strong, cute squirrel, Happy Birthday!

Yuko was the first girl in AKB I saw stand out, even though she wasn't given a very big role in most singles.
Her personality, style and finesse in team stages never failed to put me in awe.
Even she may be older than most of the others in AKB, she never looked as if she was, always cheery and active.
She was definitely one of the girls that brought AKB to what it is today.

To the miracle she brought to AKB,

Dear Yuko, I'm sorry I don't follow you as much as I used to, but that isn't through anything bad on your part. Whenever I see a performance of yours, you still shine with all the energy and enthusiasm that makes you special. Your photoshoots are still absolutely stunning, your blog entries all entertaining and interesting. I hope the next year brings you great things within AKB48 and I don't want you to leave anytime soon, although I have enjoyed every show I've seen you act in, I will miss you if you are gone. Congratulations on #1 in the sousenkyou and on being made New Team K captain, I'm sure you'll excel at the job.

^Not so much anymore, but it was a frequently used nickname for her in the earlier days of AKB48.

Yuko + Risu (=Squirrel (because of her teeth)) = Korisu

After the team shuffle two and half years ago, we discovered many things that we initially didn’t know about one another. And as we sang together during performances, people found themselves loving the songs in K6th and came to understand the meaning behind ‘RESET’. The initial awkwardness that came with the team shuffle disappeared.

This is a team who can express their thoughts and opinions freely. It is really such a wonderful group. For myself, those of you in the audience, that specially prepared green light sticks because you love Team K so much, are so precious. To be able to meet this group and receive so much smiles was a such a blessing.
