In order to wake
a peacefully sleeping princess
a kiss from a prince
is required.
For that sake...
Princes from many countries appeared to
try and wake the princess with a kiss but
just before the act,
some had endless hiccups,
some were hindered by flies,
and some returned to their countries thinking their breath might stink!
So the princess was unable to be woken...
And then appeared
