I visited Kagoshima last year, and disappointingly did not see any Yukirin adverts or anything... and yes, I visited the tourist info centres for tourist info...

It's an interesting town to visit given that it's right next to a constantly erupting volcano:

(Similarly, Mariko was meant to be the tourism ambassador for Fukuoka, but didn't see any adverts or stuff of her there...)
