The Sims 2 Thread!!

I've been planning a new town for Sims 2 again, where I could put the JPHiP sims I made of Meania, lilcazza and twissie at a moment of boredom!

The place would be called Virmire (thanks to Mass Effect) and all the private lots are to be beach lots.
It's supposed to be a new human colony on a planet, with alien "ambassadors". The aliens dress in human-like clothes on Virmire to respect their culture, lol.
The humans aside from jphip ones are basically sims I've created randomly and don't have any other place for, so I'm sticking them here. Haha

I present Virmire (no houses yet):



These are the humans and aliens I've created for Virmire so far:

Karl Ferguson - human
T'Bei and P'Xy - Roosarian. They come from a very colourful culture and they've adopted that into their 'human' style as well. They have eyes of fire.
Suzy Pace - human
Lustig - Duskian. His eyes are entirely black. Lustig loves the human rock'n roll culture and tries to show that in everything. He's supposed to be a lot of fun. No pressure or anything, mate.
JaeKyung Kwon - human
Harrison Doakes - human
0443 & 0445 - Lumme. They are native Virmire people whose numbers have always been few, and are now dwindling; they have genetic diseases that only seem to appear when Lummes breed with each other. Because of this they are very open to alien colonies on their planet. lol. 0443 and 0445 are a very rare case of siblings among their race.
Mugu - Kasvitan. Comes from a culture that's very close to the nature, and his race wouldn't even be space travelling had their people not been discovered by others first. Their sole interest in space travel is actually based on the desire to research new types of plant life, animals, and other living creatures.

ANYWAY

If Ladies Meania, caz and twissie happen to see this, I might like some input ^O^
Would y'all like to be sisters, roommates, or live separately?
Would y'all like to have the same surname, or give your own? (I was gonna name the chars just Meania, Cazz and Twissie with like Rearer as surname, cuz we have the kinship Rear Guard on Lotro ...)
Would you like to remain childless or have babies with whichever sim you happen to have a good chemistry with? (I should now have a cheat to have same gender babies too ^^)
Any particular wishes for decorating your rooms etc? (For instance, favourite colours or a specific style, like ... countryside or space or whatever)

Of course it will take ages to even get this stuff started because simply building houses takes a lot of time (especially because I want to make them different from my usual houses). And then there's the actual playing of the families. But yeah I'm open to suggestions :3


I'm also bothered that aside from Mugu and Cazz the entire town is pale as hale, so I might add like 2 more sims still

I guess some ideas for Meanie sim would be- I like pink and blue and white~ I'm on the computer alot- and I like cooking~!
You've had such a win idea-- makes me want to try it oneday if I ever manage to get Sims on my laptop!

Roommates, yeah~! I was always a big fan of letting my Sims do whatever the hell they wanted back when I played The Sims.. especially when I made characters based on rl people, because it was hilarious to see how they ended up interacting with each other 8D

My sim should be fond of purple and yellow XDDD It wouldn't bother me if we all had the same surname, and sim babies are fine with me

Funnily enough- last night on The Sims: Bustin out... There are these two houses in free play- one with 4 girls and one with 4 guys.
I went on each of the houses to see how they were and they all started super happy so I just left them to see what they did...
All the women walked over to the cd player, turned it on and danced but one changed her mind and went to admire the painting next to the toilet....
The guys however ignored my orders to go and play basket ball together and all wondered off to do fun things like guitar or watch tv and stop straight after-- and all of a sudden one guy did their distressed kind of call-- didn't see anything above his head though... still don't get why he was complaining!

I kind of want to evict those two families... but... if I do then I'm not sure if they'll still walk around or be able to be phoned... don't want to lose my 6 friends- and I need 8 for the next promotion... D:

OH- AND- the 4 women were meant to be sharing 1 double bed... whut?

I haven't played Bustin' Out so I don't know how it works ^^;; kek

I would otherwise let your characters roam about completely freely, but I always try to aim to fulfill the sims' lifetime wants and they tend to take a lot of work/skill building. And sims are not able to develop their skills & get promotions unless I tell them what to do xD I'll try to make them have time off too though, gotta plan some party places and restaurants etc. EVENTUALLY. lol

The Sims Bustin out was a console game right?  I had the the originally Sims for the gamecube, as well as for the PC. I will never play the Sims on console again! I do wonder how the gameplay for the Sims 3 on console fairs.

OK This house is still a work in progress but here's what I have so far

Ok explanations first. "WHY IS MY HOUSE STANDING ON A DECK AND A TON OF COLUMNS??" Well I had this idea that Virmire used to, and still sometimes does, suffer from floods. (This doesn't actually happen in the game, but have some imagination ok omg.) The 3 houses I've built so far are also standing on a pile o' columns. The deck I had to use for foundation because the ground wasn't even, and looked awful when I evened it. The deck looks nicer. lol



The exterior is almost complete except for decorations and lights and stuff like that.

The interior is still nearly compleeettely unfinished, but here is 1st floor:


The two smaller rooms will be bathrooms. Everything is basically out in the open. There's this bit in the middle where you can look straight down, which also continues to the 2nd floor. :3
Some huge windows facing the sea side because really, what's the point in living by the sea if you can't see it? The dining table will go there by the huge windows.

The 2nd floor:

The bedrooms will be here. One is slightly bigger than the other two, so I might change it a bit still (I don't even know why I made it that way lolz).

Basically ONE OF THE WEIRDEST HOUSES I'VE MADE SO FAR.

And da lady sims - I changed the outfits except cazza's because the loli dresses looked a bit weird lol.

Ohhh >   w  > SO.... I kinda got Sims 3 on Xbox 360 today...
It appears to be just like the computer one only probably not as big-- the controls are very different to the other, old console one which is confusing... I keep pulling up a tutorial menu every time I think I'm speeding up time, but I'll get the hang of it!

I'm a bit confused because it seems like (I haven't dared try too much while I get the hang of things) you can select any Sim wandering around to control?? If not it looks like there's a couple of save slots~

I've got a park opposite my house and I'm an aspiring cook! I wanted to set my life goal as Family orientated but... I don't want 4 kids to complete my goal! So cooking it is!
Last thing I did was stay on for overtime at work and get in a really bad mood from working for so long!

OK I don't know if Sims 3 on Xbox is that good an idea now...
I know Sims has had glitches in the past but this game seems to be full of them!

First I had a glitch where, after ordering a pizza one day to complete a wish for it- after work every day there'd be a pizza on the floor...
I was a bit confused about that at first but came to like is as it meant I had a fresh meal waiting on the floor or table for me to eat and then I could bin it later- but one day after grabbing a slice it dissapeared into the table... My sim kept having a negative moodlet thing about being disgusted by gone off food... days and days later... My sim picks an invisible pizza box out of the table and bins it on her own! D:

I turned on yesterday and when I went to the seperate screen for moods, wishes and job info-- my wishes and opportunities pages were empty... but were there on the normal smaller screen... (so I haven't been able to delete wishes or see full information on oportunities I accept or delete them either...)

And now... right after reading about it online I get this too-- The sound that plays when an appliance breaks or the toilet clogs is playing over and over and over-- day and night-- so long as it's not on pause- the sound plays again and again.

Currently I've saved in another slot so I can go back to before the sound kept playing but I'll be losing afew days of playing... and I've tried over and over but the wishes and opportunities disapearing glitch must of happened while I had saved that last... D:
It's really annoying-- the game's great but these glitches are ruining it- some are complaining about it crashing or taking a long time to load but I find all that ok... I feel like returning it... but... it'll be a shame to have to go back to the gamecube version.
I don't get it though--- Why release a game with so much wrong with it? I mean-- you test a game before you put it out there... after afew hours of play these glitches kick in!!

I've even hear complaints about baby sims getting trapped under the house while the adult is visiting another area, and bookcases not working atall as items when babies turn to toddlers until they've grown into children! D:

Oh damn, the Sims on PC looks so much better Like better options for clothing and hair.. You've done AWESOME work designing the characters and the house, Shi!   
I haven't played my Sims 3 for a month  I wanna add the money cheat, but then I can't get trophies.. and I want the trophies >.> Mehhhh

The Tellerman Twins

I actually took closer pics of the two, as well as the rest of their family, but they didn't save to the folder. :-/  and when I tried to upload them online, I got an error code. O well, the pictures still exist, so I can always try again.

The twins are product of a teen mom and adult male (hacks, hehe). I was only expecting one baby, so I was pretty shocked when I found out that two were coming along (The mom avoided instant meals, but she did eat a lot of omelettes..hmm)

Peter is a young spitting image of his father (Townie: Komei Tellerman), while Tony got his mother's fair skin, as well as a touch of lightness to his hair color (Their mother is a blondie, while Komei is a redhead)

Tony works as a tutor, while Peter works as a pool boy (custom careers). I really like Peter's job, mainly because of the description. A snippet: Now you’ll be skimming leaves out of pools while inadvertently becoming the fantasy of all the housewives in the neighborhood. it might be a bit creepy having women in their 40s peeping at you out their kitchen windows. Tony tutors a jock girl who's in danger of failing. The only thing I liked was a chance card that came up; There was some chemistry between the two, and Tony had a chance to confess or ignore.

Anyways, I'm not sure what to do with them. I really like them as teens, and I don't want them to grow up.

Uh... I actually kind of gave up on the Virmire project because I never played it. I'll find some way to add your sims somewhere, but that wasn't working lolol. I AM SORRY~

Meanwhile, in Strangetown... I love how this game can still surprise me sometimes.

My sim got one of those random "hey, wanna come hang out downtown?" phone calls, and since I had no other specific plans, I just went for it. (Usually I say no because my sims are busy doing something else.)

So he goes and has a fantastic time *cough*



The following night, a dude from the outing came to leave a gift. I've got some gifts after dates before, so I wasn't too surprised, and was expecting him to leave roses or something.

I get a lot of twins just randomly, but the only thing that truly works (without hacks) for having planned twins is eating cheesecake any time during the pregnancy. And I think this opportunity only became available with one of the expansion packs, but I don't remember which one. lol BUT YEAH. Cheesecake is the key!

AH!! I was playing my Royal Kingdom challenge town for a change, and had some exciting things taking place with the Royal family itself!

First, and sadly, the amazing Queen Christine Royal passed away (in the bathroom of all places), leaving behind the new ruling family King Lucas, Queen Esther and Prince Arthur Lee.



What does a proper daughter-in-law do when the old queen is gone? That's right, redecorate!

But that's not all! Queen Esther ended up giving birth to twins, both daughters!

Esther also decided it was time for her to start looking more like a queen, so she updated her look.
I'm pretty sure I'm going to keep the red lipstick as a continuous look for the queen.


(I'm probably going to look for some custom hairstyles with tiaras for more umph)


The reason why this was so exciting is because I've been playing this town/challenge for YEARS, but this was the first time that there was a change in the Queen. Yes, very slow progress with generations. Also, I'm excited about the twin princesses because I've been thinking of slowly starting to bring more gender equality into the town (a part of the challenge is to start with medieval social 'rules') and with these princesses having few options on what to do, ... things may get interesting when a ruling family includes members who aren't happy with the status quo and start thinking outside the box. But all that will take ages

EDIT: I've just realized that THIS THREAD WAS CREATED on the same day that I started my kingdom challenge!! Basically, I've been playing this town for over FOUR YEARS. I have no words. I can see myself playing it 4 years from now still, if only I don't lose my save.

I know you all have missed my Sim stories!!!!

I started a new Legacy Challenge town one day when I got bored. Some changes this time: I downloaded new default CAS faces, so the townies and NPCs that I created have slightly different faces in comparison to the usual Maxis faces. This is good because I've got rather sick of the old defaults.

Anyway, meet Aylee Snow:

She has this funky alien skin going on.

I chose the name Snow because the town has FOREVER WINTER.

Starting a legacy challenge with Seasons EP is harder than usual (they actually need a roof over their heads and walls around them to survive the cold). I think the huge lot I got was also bigger than the lots I've had for legacy challenge in the past, giving me less money to work with. Anyway, this was Aylee's starting hut:


I couldn't afford both a shower and a toilet, so I had to keep deleting one to buy the other for emergencies

Aylee has been sloooowly working on her dream career of a dancer. This is her practicing:


Of course one night this bitch showed up and STOLE HER DANCING BAR:


A cop showed up and arrested her, but for some reason I didn't get the usual capture reward OR my stolen items back! What the fuck! Way for the game to get buggy the moment my sim is actually struggling. She can't afford to buy back the items that were just stolen (the dance bar and a mirror). The TWO ITEMS that she needs to work on her career skills, body+ and charisma+. Goddamnit. How unlucky is that.

Of course Aylee has also been boyfriend shopping because she eventually needs to pop out a few babies.

At first things weren't looking well and she even had to chat up a guy with hypothermia LOL


But then this guy walked by and oh baby, two bolts. I love his eyes


So that's her future husband. Or fuckbuddy. He does need to move in so I can get more funds. What is love?

Anyway hellz yeah! Let's do this!



Aylee does currently own both a toilet and a shower, and I even got her a stove! Finally able to cook!

Updating on the legacy challenge

Well it took a while, but Aylee finally got her bf to move in! That is, Blair Straight ( @ name)



Blair moved in with 21,000 simoleans I was finally able to build a proper house!! Too bad I lost over 2000 on flattening the terrain.

I built in the middle like that because I think eventually I'd like to have the house surrounded by a lake ^___^ Working on terrain takes a lot of funds though, so I'll have to save that for a future generation. Anyway, I'll widen the bottom floor a bit when the first baby is on its way, but otherwise I'll try to keep the house itself kind of small and cute, or rather build up than build wide.

She must have otherwise her dad's face, but got her mom's nose, that's why it's so mismatched. Good times.

But the first thing she did as a toddler was to start dancing to Bad Romance, so I love her already.
