I wanted a new background so I ended up whipping this together from the Star Pictorial Photo shoot.
Image sized to the Yuri square ONLY:
Image sized to 1280x1024 (white background)
The first image is the image cropped to the dimensions of the Yuri box. If you want to use it as a background just make sure to use the "center" option and use white as the fill-in color for the rest of the desktop. The second image is actually set to a resolution of 1280x1024 (my computer monitor) but only has a white background as you can see.
I hope the image progression makes sense, since I was just cutting and pasting Yuri's "squares" over Soo Young's, hahaha. Here's how I see the "story" of the images progressing from squares 1-8 (going clockwise, starting from 1 at top middle and 8 at top left)...
1) Yuri is sitting there, in her typical pretty/hot/innocent fashion
2) Yuri gets a naughty or silly idea to make the photographer laugh
3) While trying to distract the photographer with her awesome smile, she reaches behind her back and...
4) BAM! Yuri gets bags of cereal/cookies/crackers and holds them over her head. But based on her smile here even SHE realizes what a dork she's being right now and that maybe this plan isn't as funny as she thought (Sica effect anyone? haha).
5) So Yuri decides to put the snacks away and cool down with some mineral water since being the clown of SNSD is tiring and and hard work.
6) And here we see Yuri's natural aura/expression when she's not fooling around... as evidenced in the picture, this natural state is pure, effortless hotness.

7) Yuri looks a bit surprised here, as if wondering why the photographer is taking all these photos while she's NOT showing her aegyo off. She fixes her hair because she's feeling a little self-conscious as the camera zooms in.
8 ) And Joker Yuri returns and just laughs the last two pictures off. It's as if our Black Pearl doesn't realize that she's at her most amazing when she's not even trying. She probably thinks there was just something funny about her face or in some place she couldn't see and that the photographer just wouldn't tell her.
After working on this wallpaper, I've realized that Yuri is a great example of WHY fangirls are jealous of SNSD. This girl is hotter than the vast majority of girls in KPOP and she does it effortlessly and without having to constantly resort to bending over, bumping and grinding, or wearing skanky clothing. And although there are times she DOES wear hotpants or skirts (which look fantastic on her, haha) those kinds of things are never the focus of Yuri's (or SNSD's) performance.
So when people (read: fangirls) bash SNSD for being fake and acting too cute or innocent, I've come to view it as mere jealousy on their part. They hate the fact that these girls have been able to take the male population of Korea by storm without effectively having to sell their bodies or their healthy, teenage image. Antis resent our girls for being strong enough to retain their individual personalities despite all the pressure and regulations that they face from their management, broadcasting/advertising companies, and the entertainment world as a whole. What's funny is that the most hardcore of antis would never want SNSD to succeed anyway under ANY circumstance, but I think it really just burns them up even more when they see SNSD succeeding on their own terms through hard work and humility (if anybody thinks the girls are not humble, they should watch all the BTS and fancam concert footage that shows the girls constantly thanking and showing respect for all their staff and sunbaes. I don't give a fuck about the retarded things that Fany read from the SCRIPTS of all these SCRIPTED variety shows. And if you're going to begrudge teenage girls just playing around and laughing at each other's retardedness, you simply have never had any friends before).
Ah but anyway I'm kind of ranting now, but I've actually had a lot on my mind because of the events at the Dream Concert.
OH, and I forgot to mention, but the Korean inside the middle square says
"Inki-jjang Seu-kool Guhl", or
Most/Best/#1 Popular School Girl
... on the first line
and Yuri on the second line (I'm sure we all recognize Yuri's name by now, haha).
The purple text on the bottom right corner of the middle square says
"Seo Hyun - wee-teu Haht". I think it's supposed to be a play on words, because you could write sweetheart in Korean (Seo-wee-teu Haht) by simply taking out the Hyun syllable in the purple text. So the purple text is basically
Seo Hyun and
sweetheart mashed together, haha. I'm not quite sure why I left it in there since it's not really Yuri related but I thought the purple added some color contrast.
