Al Pacino is to make a cameo appearance in new James Bond movie Quantum of Solace.

The Oscar-winning actor, 67, agreed to star opposite 007 Daniel Craig following secret talks in LA.

According to The Mirror, he will play the head of the international terrorist organisation featured in previous film Casino Royale.

Only a cameo by the sound of things, but still, PACINO!

he can play a pretty good badass, like in Devil's Advocate or Carlito's Way.. I'm still waiting on who is going to sing the theme song.. I've heard rumours about the Killers and Amy Winehouse

Amy Winehouse probably has the most suitable voice and seems the most sensible. The Killers is just...not. Yeah I can't really think of anyone else that could do a Bond tune.

^^ though the vocals of the killers isn't very suitable. A collab with whinehouse and the killers could make a kick ass song.

Since we were talking about the song, what's your fav and least fav Bond theme song?
My fav has to be "Nobody Does it Better" by Carly Simon from "The Spy Who Loved Me" and the Madonna one from Die Another Day ranks as my worst

I'd like to see Pacino wig out in this new role like he did in "Godfather 3." He's at the age where it would feel totally plausible.

Short behind the scenes video of Quantum of Solace

It's not mentioned in the video but I believe the opening credits of the next movie don't even appear until 20 mins, making it the longest time that's happened in a Bond film, or indeed any movie.

The artists behind the theme song have been revealed, and it isn't quite what you expected:

Alicia Keys and Jack White of the White Stripes will record the theme song for the new James Bond film Quantum Of Solace.

'Another Way To Die' marks the first duet in the film franchise's history. The song was written and produced by White, who will also play drums on the track.

Quantum Of Solace will arrive in UK cinemas on October 31, with the soundtrack released on October 28.

Numerous other artists, including Amy Winehouse, Leona Lewis, Duffy and Beyoncé Knowles, had previously been rumoured to be recording the new Bond theme.
