for the old maid game i love how Momo react to her card and how when Miya and Momo are showing to Airi what she can't have made herself put the Momo card it was simply so smart and funny of her gotta love those three seriously

OMG PVs WITH ACTUAL BUDGET! OMGOMGOMGOMG!

right?

HELL NO!

These PVs are the first H!P release in a long time that's giving me such a negative reaction and I'll tell you why.

The songs are repetitive

This is the biggest problem I have with them.
Initially I thought Zassou no Uta was a little bland and repetitive.
Compared to JUICY HE@RT, it's a lot better in comparison.

No dance shot

repetitive song + no dance =

repetitive song + interesting dance = watchable, maybe even fun
I think that's self-explanatory enough.

No Dolce

Their regular back-up band adds awesome to any video or concert.
Their absence and outright replacement in Zassou no Uta makes me disappointed.

Some people will be overjoyed at their obvious higher-budget, but not me.
It's just so much conspicuous consumption. Adding more cost without adding value.

"How can we make our video more obviously high budget?"
"I know! Let's put in a shitload of cars and use foreigners as extras in the band!"
or
"I know! Let's rent a bigass boat and a couple super-expensive cars for the girls to get out of!"
Stuff like this is spending more money just for the sake of spending more money.

I will say, however, that the girls themselves (mostly) look great. Miya's Mickey Mouse hair notwithstanding.

In their effort to be more high-budget and more cool, it just feels like these PVs have lost all the fun in Buono.
Maybe they'll grow on me over time or after I see them performed, but like I said, this is the worst first impression I've had in a long time for the PVs.

Good points, doc. My concern on this tape was they put the girls in the "super rich / super elite" environment. The appeal of the H!P stars is that they are girls next door and understand what it is like for everday people, because they are just like us, except way more kawaii.

Making them part of the world of the uber rich, somehow hurts the connection. However, noted that while on the luxury boat they still ordered pIZZA LA!

I might be wrong, but I think dolce usually didn't appear in PVs. I think they'll be seen at the concert again.

I like the luxurious theme although I don't think it fits to the supposedtobelooking-rockish covers and the shiny jackets look rather cheap (like what I stereotypically expect from wannabe east european/russian women) but looks cute on momochi o/. So yeah, it's interesting and certainly something different~

After many listens I like JUICY HE@RT better than Zassou no uta and of the third I know even know what it's spelled like

I don't like it too much but it's also not really bad.
For me it's good when the songs follow the typical idol song pattern because I expect them

especially when upbeat songs don't have this almost vocal only part near the end I'm easily disappointed

Nice Momo tshirt at the concert goods. Black+Momoiro = almost as much win as only momoiro~ ufufu

To my knowledge, they've only appeared in one of their PVs:

But to be fair, they weren't really a real band with a real name until around that time.
I was hoping that if they were going to put a band in a PV, they'd at least give the job to Dolce instead of random people who again, were probably cast to make it look more expensive.
