Japan is moving towards requiring owners of potentially dangerous animals, such as crocodiles and pythons, to have microchips implanted in their pets in case the animals get loose, officials said on Thursday.

I think it's notihing but waste of money. Someone just wants to make money by scaring people.

Yeah, and the next invention is a chip embedded in the back of people's heads to lower their hormone levels...
Total waste, also IMO. Dangerous animals should be left out in the wild where no human being can bother them
...
