Taylor man sentenced to 60 years over 10th DWI

A judge has ordered 60 years in prison for a Taylor man convicted in a 10th driving while intoxicated case since 1979.

Surprised it took them that long to throw away the key.  IMO third DUI should give a sentence like that, that gives them two chances to sort their lives and reflect, get treatment if they need it, whatever.  If they still don't get it after that, they need to be locked up as a matter of public safety.  This guy had nine priors?  That should never be allowed to happen.
