So I would like it to be noted that I think Yoshizawas graduation was announced before they went to Hawaii in 2007. Well in my story…it isn’t yet.

Chapter thirty-two: Ishikawa Rika
Just take it step by step, I can do this. I reached my hand inside my pocket to make sure the envelope was still there. I know, it’s completely cowardly. But I don’t know what else I could possibly do. I…I miss her way to much.
I knocked on Yoshizawa Hitomis door for the first time in two years.
I waited for a moment and almost thought she wasn’t home when the door suddenly swung open. “Hey there,” she smiled brightly. "Sorry I didn’t really hear the door because my music was up so loud." And that it was, I could hear…was that Morning Musume, your own band Hitomi?....blasting from her bedroom.
I smiled back at her, “It’s cool.”
We stood in her door frame for a minute or so. Hitomi was smiling at me and in a very calm manner. “Uhmm, can I come in?” I asked tired of the slightly awkwardness that apparently only I was feeling.
“Oh!” she blushed slightly. “Yea, of course you can.” She held open the door and put out her arm out welcoming me into her home.
It hadn’t changed all that much from before she had been living with me. It was still pretty plain and very clean. Well, everything but it seemed her bedroom. I peered inside the slightly open door to see clothes and such scattered everywhere with a suitcase on her bed.
She hurriedly went inside her room and turned off the loud music. “Sorry about the mess. Morning Musume is going on a trip to Hawaii tomorrow and I procrastinated in packing.”
I stepped inside her bedroom be careful not to step on anything. “Yea, I heard. You should have fun.”
Sitting down next to her suitcase I played with my hands a little bit. “So what do I owe this pleasant visit to?” Hitomi suddenly asked me.
I shrugged, “Nothing really.”
She smiled at me and began to pack once again. “So, how has life been in general?”
“It’s been good,” I couldn’t help but feel awkward. She was treating my visit like it was no big deal, something I did everyday or something. Yet I couldn’t help but feel nervous and weird. It was so strange to be back in her apartment as just her friend. All because I was just…ugh I have to focus on right now. “Do you want some help?”
“Hmm?”
“With packing? I can help if you need it to go quicker. Besides your room is a complete mess.”
She shook her head, “Nah you don’t have to. I don’t want to trouble you with this. Besides I’m almost done packing and I can just clean once I get home.”
I stood up and she accidentally brushed against my arm as she passed by to the other side of the room to retrieve a purple shirt. I couldn’t help but fell a slight bit of pleasure and pain even though it was a completely inadvertent touch. “You can’t leave your room like this for that whole time.”
I began to go around and pick up her clothes. Hanging up and folding the clean ones, while creating a pile in the corner for the dirty. As I picked up another article of clothing she reached and grabbed it from me. “Rika-chan, I told you that you don’t have to help.” She smiled and walked over to her closet and started to hang it up herself. I rushed over to her and grabbed it back, finishing hanging it up.
“And I know you wouldn’t have cleaned it if I hadn’t started first.”
She blushed again, “you’re probably right.”

Hitomi ended up inviting me to stay and eat dinner. It was really pleasant sitting and talking with her over a meal of beef curry. But, I still just couldn’t help that with every smile she gave me and every time she would say something even remotely playful my heart would hurt to a point where I thought I would start crying right here as we ate. I kept it in though. I don’t want to let her see how much I needed her. Not yet.
I stood up and took my plate over to the sink and washed it off. I walked over to the door and stretched a little. “Well, I guess I will see you when you get back.”
She got up and put her own plate away before leaning against the kitchen counter facing me. “Yea, hopefully we can spend more time than we have been together.”
I nodded and then remembered the envelope in my pocket. “Uhmm Hitomi?”
I began to pull it out of my pocket, “Yea?”
“I…” Sighing I pulled my hand out of my pocket leaving the envelope there.
“You…what?”
“I just…” It couldn’t be helped, it came out on its own accord. “I really miss you.”
Yoshizawa frowned slightly and looked away.
“I mean…” Nevermind. “Can I use your bathroom?” I guess I will have to go with the note.
She started laughing, “You can be so random. Sure, you know where it is.”
I nodded and went into her room closing the door behind me. I walked over to her bed and unzipped her suit case. I moved aside a couple of things before slipping the envelope out of my pocket. Then I couldn’t help it as a lone tear traveled down my cheek and off my chin landing on the plain white surface.
After tucking the envelope securely under her clothes I zipped the suitcase up again and went over to the bathroom, flushed the toilet and then walked out back to where Hitomi was waiting watching television.
“So, I’m going to go now.”
Hitomi stood up turning off the tv. “Oh,” and she walked over to her front door opening it up. “I’ll wait with you down there for a cab.”
“Oh no, its okay.”
She smiled brightly, “I’m going to do it either way, so stop protesting.”
