On April's Fool the official site posted fake news about the same subject, this time they say it's real... so far there's no confirmation.

^ no. it was not the Taiwan H!P official site that posted the fake one. it was the "unofficial taiwan" h!p site. the one with the forum included.

Taiwanese audition for H!P

The audition starts on May 24th for girls ages 6-24...the ones that get picked will get the chance to train in Japan for the chance of a debut within H!P

the results will be announced on June 7th.

Audition will begin on May 24, and will be broadcasted on the program "早安家族 New Star (Hello Project New Star)" TTV on June 7 (Sat & Sun), 6:30-7:03pm.
The host will be Blackie.

Maximum age 24? I think that's higher than some other recent-ish audition cuz I remember thinking I'd be too old after this summer (turning 23)

Oh well, I dunno what to think. More girls with poor Japanese? I'd be more interested in hearing Chinese combined with H!P songs rather than someone speaking/singing Japanese with a weird accent. Go for a "Chinese H!P"? :3 Actually kingthaking's idea of a Chinese subunit would be nice, provided that they would sing in Chinese... Well that's what I think... ^__^

We could just get a start of branching Hello! Project in different countries... I'm mean, he could be looking to create a "Morning Musume" Taiwanese version. I mean, I sincerely doubt they'd bring a 6 year old over to Japan.

From what I saw on JPM, the little ones didn't win anything other than the costumes that they're showing off. Also Risafan didn't win

Maaaaaaaaaann I find it so weird that nobody's here talked about this thing, I mean here I am completely clueless that there's a good old audition program on (which I love! all the perfs and TEARS), GRRR...

I've been watching this 早安家族NEW STAR on Youtube all day and I'm now at 21/6 episode, which means still a long way to go... BUT OMG, I love this girl:


Zao Guo Rong / Lightbulb (16)

She got my attention from the moment she walked on stage, and I started calling her Sayulite because she reminded me of her... And I got SO upset because I thought she hadn't made it, until I noticed I just hadn't recognized her due to crappy Youtube quality and the fact that she didn't smile all that often.. But anyway LIGHTBULB (lol) FTMFW!!!! She makes me wanna support H!P Taiwan 100%


Also, I find it funny that merely based on pictures, the two girls I liked the most at first were the same girls that weren't apparently on the show at all, but were found elsewhere...

It is announced that, after training, recording, and photographing the six audition winners will perform at a H!P concert in January 2009.

It is also announced that a special project for the two little ones (吳兆絃 & 藍愛子) is in the works.

But luckily, I was able to save 259 pics from luckyno2's page before it got closed. So if anyone ever becomes her fan, just ask me and I can upload a zip with all the pics that I have.

Four of them have been performing on Taiwan tv since June, both solo and in small groups, so at least they have experience. I'm somehow much less worried about them than usual H!P newbies!

I was actually really excited about this audition thing when I first heard about it. I watched the first episode (the one with MM) and thought it was interesting, but as I never heard anything of the whole thing after that I somehow ended up thinking that there was no more TV material than that. Now I'm loading the episodes from H!O tracker and waiting (as the first episodes really slowly load) to see the rest of the auditions.

I just finished watching all of the audition episodes and came to look for some comments about the audition (didn't want to get spoiled before watching them all). And yes, I'm also quite surprised that there are so few people commenting about it (anywhere).

I was rooting for the "Lightbulb" and "Risa-clone" since i saw them for the first time, so the final episode was quite enjoyable for me  . The weird thing is that I don't even like Risa, world is a funny place. I don't really care (yet) about the other two who passed and can't make much comments on the two who came from Tsunkus secret pocket. Oh well, I'll be looking forward to their debut .

Offtopic: Hi shirenu! It has been like 4 or 5 years since I said that to you. Hopefully you will have a slight clue who I am  . I'm also still going strong in the fandoming . I had to turn off my permanent lurking-mode for a few minutes to post this. I'll be collecting courage to "Hi!" you again in a few years! Go ahead and edit this off if needed. I'm just too shy to approach you directly for the second time .
