She had to conserve bullets as she didn't know how many more goons there were. She also wanted to save a bullet each for Dan and Baldo. They will pay for what they have done to Rika.

Hitomi took a buckshot round from the guard's belt and loaded it into the shotgun he previously weilded.

He had been careless. Hitomi found sneaking up on him easier than kicking her father's ass. She almost effortly subdued him with a shot on his shoulder.

The guard laid unconscious on the cold pavement.

Hitomi held the shotgun firmly as she stepped over him as she entered the warehouse complex.
Yossi's got Commando skillz! :o

Baldo, who was still talking to the client, didn't look bothered at all. He simply signalled to one of his men to go and check out what went down outside.

"Yes, boss" as expected, was the response.
Probably trying to keep the client calm. If Baldo doesn't look like he's worried, then the client won't worry.

Hitomi slowly climbed up one of the cargo vans in the warehouse complex as she strategized.

She watched them carefully from her perch. She had to conserve bullets as she didn't know how many more goons there were. She also wanted to save a bullet each for Dan and Baldo. They will pay for what they have done to Rika.

Man... this is has become one HiP action flick all placed in a drama..  :w00t:

Rika wanted to make the run for the exit now. Not that she hadn't thought of it earlier but the thought of Hitomi outside told her the run wouldn't be in vain.
As dangerous as it is id be hoping Rika would make a run for it just for the effort.. Tochan is there!  :(

Baldo looked a bit worried now, ordering another goon to shut off all the lights. Dan immediately grabbed Rika to make sure that she doesn't use this opportunity to escape.
missed chance...

She quietly thanked the corpse sprawled on the floor for having a gun familiar to her. Blood oozed from the gunshot wound on his head, a little over his right ear.
thank you corpse! i get a taste of blood! beautiful~
i hope Yossie doesn't get in trouble for this.. she wouldnt deshou? deshou?

Dan's touch terrified Rika more than the series of gunshots which were fired earlier. His touch coupled with the darkness made her want to just breakdown and cry. But she can't breakdown now. She didn't want to give him that satisfation.
Awww.. Rika-chan...  be strong! those filthy guys aren't worth your tears...

Hitomi breathed in deep. She knew she had to do this quickly and quietly.
*crosses fingers* u can make it..  :O

She watched them carefully from her perch. She had to conserve bullets as she didn't know how many more goons there were. She also wanted to save a bullet each for Dan and Baldo. They will pay for what they have done to Rika.
Let them have it Yossie! Rika-chan needs to be in your arms!

Maybe...
Maybe?? Maybe?? What Maybe?!!

boo!   not an update but I want an update!!!

Can I tell you a short story? Yes or no, here's my story  XD  A few days ago my two wheel vehicle had a collision with a four wheel vehicle, a few minutes after that I did some walking to stop my muscles from shaking so that I can again drive... safely (hmm... maybe it’s time to switch back). After all of my senses were back to normal, the first thing that popped in my mind was... I still need to read the ending of Tru’s Ishiyoshi Fiction  Can you make my story an inspiration for an update?  :shifty:

Hope all is cool  :)

This one's for kRisZ...that was really touching, man...

i miss writing... i can't wait for March... when the thesis will be over...

UPDATE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Rika thrashed about as Dan’s grip on her became tighter. The fear and shame from what happened before had turned into anger and strength. The gunshots that she heard earlier told her that someone was there for her. Regardless of who it is, someone out there was fighting for her. And she should fight for  herself.

Another gunshot broke the anxious whispers that were buzzing in the air. It was followed by a loud thump, and some shouting by male voices, presumably the goons. Rika wished to know what exactly was going on but the darkness wasn’t helping her at all.

She heard some loud footsteps--  people were running closer to the door. Then silence.

“Bagsak na si Boy!” Rika heard someone shouting.

==

Hitomi hid in the shadow of the elf-sized truck near-by. She quickly, but carefully, slid the handgun into back pocket of her pants as she held the M16A1 rifle. Due to the darkness, she couldn’t tell how many rounds were still on but it the weight told her that the gun still had enough for the goons outside.

She watched the goons gathering by the corpse of her assumed ringleader.

She waited. Just a little more…

She stepped out of the shadows, and fired away.

Four goons fell one by one.
==

The goons staying within the warehouse were sent to a panic by successive rapid fires. They heard bullets hitting steel, making sparks in the darkness. Some even hit the walls of the warehouse.

Dan dragged Rika behind some crates. Mayumi was cowering nearby. Even Baldo ducked in fear and ran to the other side of the warehouse.

The rain of bullets ended and silence ensued.

A goon was brave enough to get up from his hiding place. He held his P229 close as he approached the door. But before he crossed the threshold, the butt of a rifle crashed on his face. He fell to the ground quick.

Rika could only see a silhouette of a person holding a rifle kicking the unconscious goon. She was sure then who it was.

==

Hitomi stepped on the goon who dared to stop her.

He screamed in pain as he felt her foot on his leg. He could hear the bones in his leg cracking under her step.

Even with the light from the SUV, she could make out Rika struggling from Dan behind the crates. The SUV's occupants cowered in their seats.

She was about to run to their direction when a pair of goons blocked her path.

She couldn't understand their banter but that didn't matter. They were standing between her and Rika so they had to go.

One of them threw a punch that she easily evaded and quickly responded to with a jab to the face. He fell back, a bit dazed from the strength of the attack. Hitomi did make one fall but was too preoccupied to defend herself from the other one.

She felt his knuckles under her chin in an uppercut but she quickly recovered and hit him on the gut with her elbow.

He took steps back, wincing in pain, as Hitomi pulled out the magnum handgun from her pants and shot at them both, one at the leg, and the other on the shoulder.

She headed to her goal at seeing the two goons immobile. Dan aimed a small pistol at her, a .22 caliber, as his grip on Rika tightened.

Rika could feel the cold sweat on his palm. He was shaking. Rika could no longer see Mayumi. She must've hidden elsewhere.

Hitomi and Dan were aiming at each other, both waiting for the other to make a move.

Hitomi walked cautiously. She didn't know if there were anymore goons but this was her chance for vengeance. Shit, she can take Rika hostage!

Without further thought, she shot at his hand, the one that held the pistol. Dan, unable to get a grip of the weapon, involuntarily dropped it to the  ground. Hitomi ran closer to where he stood.

The dedicated bullet

She aimed at his groin and fired a shot. Rika, as a reflex, closed her eyes. Dan's scream echoed on the walls of the warehouse.

Blood gushed from where his manhood was as he laid on the floor, begging for mercy.

She just looked at him. Hopefully, he'll just bleed to death on the cold concrete floor. She walked over to where Rika had fallen and untied her. The police would be on their way if Joseph did his part right.

It didn't matter who Rika chose. What mattered was that she was safe.

Rika clung to Hitomi as soon as she was freed from the rags.

"Let's go, Ka-chan... Let's go home." Hitomi took her hand and led her from behind the crates to the exit.

But to their surprise, there were four people standing in front of the door.

Baldo and three goons.

"Sa tingin 'nyo, hahayaan ko kayong makaalis dito?!" (You think I will let either of you get out of here?!)

Hitomi pulled Rika back behind her. "Ka-chan, hide."

Rika seemed to refuse.

"This will all be over soon... I promise... Just hide... I'll protect you." Hitomi pushed Rika back to where they had emerged as she ran head on to the men who were in the way.

She somehow managed to get to Baldo without making serious contact with any of the goons. She pointed the barrel of the handgun under his chin.

"If you want him to live, let her come here!" He shouted at them.

They didn't seem to understand but they were all immobile. Baldo seemed to give them orders that Hitomi didn't understand, to which they replied to with a nod.

Rika ran from the other side of the row of crates towards Hitomi. As soon as she was surely behind Hitomi, the two of them and their hostage slowly made their way out of the warehouse. All was well until a bullet pierced Hitomi's leg seemingly from nowhere.

Baldo laughed as his hostage taker fell.

"Durugin n'yo s'ya liban lang yung mukha 'nya. Kailangang ako ang sumira sa gwapo n'yang mukha."

GAH! Finally finished all my senior design projects so I can catch up on this.  Dan definitely got his commuppins.  Poor Yossi, always being thrown into the cusp of danger.  But I know it is all for Rika, even though she thinks Rika wants joseph.  Oh that baldo...if you wreck that pretty face of her's its go time.  :pandaaa:

I am glad you got around to updating, I was worried for a while when I would come on and not see it updated, but I understand that school comes first.

Wait, I thought Yossi couldn't speak Tagalog. :? Could it be one of Baldo's goons?

Fun fact: Filipino families must (almost as if there's an unofficial law) have at least one member (usually an uncle) who's known by the nickname of "Boy". XD

Yossi = :cool1:

At first I read this and thought, "His leg? Why not his 'coconuts'? "

Then you had to throw in the "cracking" part and I was "Ok, nevermind".

Again, smart move by Yossi.

i don't know if this will be the last update of the year... should someone die?

this is to wish you all a very Merry Christmas...

a gift from me to all of you... YOU and 1444 have made 2008 special for me... this fic is no longer mine... but this forum's... i will spend the next couple of days thinking of what to do...

i have said this so many times to all of you but it has never been as TRU as it is now: MAHAL KO KAYONG LAHAT

a Christmas UPDATE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Rika was torn. From reading Hitomi's lips she could tell that she was being ordered to run away. But she was afraid.

She wasn't afraid of the steel pipes and the 2x2 wood that the goons brandished. She was afraid that if she decides to run out and call for help, no one might even come to their rescue at this hour of the night. It might be better for her to stay here and try to save Hitomi herself, for once.

Hitomi kept silent as she curled up in a fetal position, trying to protect her head with her arms and hands as the goons pummeled at her with their makeshift weapons. The contact with steel and wood was excruciating on her back and her legs. The soles of their boots and rubbershoes dug deeper into her shoulders and thighs. The wound on her leg from that bullet from nowhere wasn't helping. Her blood stained her white polo, seeping into her undershirt. Part of her wanted to scream out in pain but she held it in.

If Rika ran out and the drunkards outside have come to their senses, they might be able to help them. Hitomi didn't know what was going on anymore. All she could know was what she could feel banging against her body and nothing more.

Rika picked up the gun Dan dropped which laid in the pool of his blood. She had no idea how to use a gun but there's no time for lessons in handling firearms now. She closed her eyes as she took in a deep breath.

The goons have begun to pry Hitomi out of her fetal position. It appeared that she was battered enough to Baldo's liking.

Her head hung low as they held her up almost standing, seemingly crucified. The goons laughed as they sneered and jeered at her.

Rika held the gun with both hands, trying to recall and emulate how her father would do it in the firing range. She whispered a preyer under her breath and tried to pull the trigger. But the trigger would not succumb.

Baldo walked straight, stopping right in front of her. He grinned as he pulled up the fringe of hair covering her face. Using her hair, he pulled her head up with one hand as he gave her a hard slap with the other.

Rika panicked as she studied the gun. There was no lock on the trigger but it still would not budge.

His laughter echoed within the warehouse but Hitomi didn't hear. She had fallen unconscious from the battering and loss of blood. Baldo could see Rika from the corner of his eye but he paid no mind to her. He wanted to amuse himself with his new plaything before resuming business. His clients seemed patronizing enough though.

Rika, in frustration, banged the gun on the concrete floor before aiming and randomly firing at the direction of Hitomi's torture. The bullet flew into the chest of on one of the goons standing close to Baldo.

The gunfire sent the goons into a panic, dropping Hitomi on the ground as they ran for cover. Baldo too ran to a hiding spot as Rika aimed at him.

Hitomi laid still but her chest was heaving. She was in poor shape but knowing that she was alive was good news enough for Rika.

The gun found it's place on the floor nearby. There was no escape. But what mattered was that her love was in her arms. She felt that help was coming whether she calls fot it or not and if it didn't, at least, they will die together. Death will be the last resort but for now there's a love to protect.

If so, at least make it Baldo or Dan...ok, the goons too.  :tama-mad:

Option A would seem to be the choice to go with. As low as the odds may be, it's still better to at least try to get some help. An urban centre like Metro Manila is NEVER completely asleep. Besides, unless Rika has some hidden/unknown fighting skills that she's kept secret, there's really nothing that she can do to save Yossi without putting herself in harm's way (which was the whole reason why Yossi wants her to run away to begin with).

Doubtful that the drunkards would be able to do anything, but like I said before, it's better to at least TRY.

to the one who was there before this all began, a million thanks,  you have affected this story more than anyone (even me) ever can ! those who were there when i was starting out, writing insanely fast, thank you... (special mention to tito who raised the bar in my updating speed, the days of 7 updates at a time, i hope i can reach that level again...) it was your support that encouraged me to write and mingle not only here but with the whole forum, i hope you guys stick around until the end... those who came in during the sweetness, i hope you enjoyed your fill... the dentist is happy, the bucket isn't!

We have entered a new phase in the story... how long will they be running?

Merry Christmas tru~ Hope you have a great holiday season and your card is all kinds of awesome!!! Can't wait for next year, I know you'll fill it with tons and tons of Ishiyoshi goodness. I'll always be reading your stories.
Story comments:

Stay alive for Ka-chan!!! I hate to bring the wrong mood to the chapter but damn, Rika banging the gun on the floor and then shooting them is hot!! :P She's gonna be able to save To-chan, I know it. :yep:
