If you didn't hear about it during the forum blackout, Miki's father died unexpectedly on Nov. 10th at a hospital in Hokkaido :

I was hoping to be the one to make reference to the Mechaike Sports Festival, but the forum was down when the news broke.

Yeah, it's very shocking and saddening news; I hope the Fujimoto family is holding up fine. Miki has apparently not updated her blog in a while, presumably due to still dealing with what happened. She should take as much time off as she feels she needs.
