^ Yeh some games show you what you're getting but most of them tend not to. It's annoying cause surely they could at least show a static screen of what you'd get and you'd base your decision off that. Especially for premium themes.

With gamerpics you should just see if they have a preview for it in the usual place. With themes, they actually do a showcase for them on Youtube, so you'd know what to expect. If there's one in particular you'd like I suggest typing something like 'Xbox theme *insert game name*:

thanks guys, too bad then
the one time I bought gamerpics from Naughty Bear, thought I couldn't go wrong with that, but they have white background which looks just shitty imho, was pretty mad at myself for spending money on that  :(
they could at least show one or two sample pix

I'm loving ESPN on my 360, since I don't have cable.  Yeah, lots of white, and it seems that Live.FM lost it's unicode ability in the update!

A question for anyone else who has a silver/free XBL account: Is the the free Gold weekend working for anyone?

Its supposed to start today, Nov. 25th, at 9am PST.
I remembered about it, switched on my 360, and it doesn't seem to be giving me gold.
I've checked it out, and there's plenty of others it's not working for, either.

"Are you my mummy?"
"Hello, Sweetie."

I bought a XBOX+Kinect, not so much because the Matsui's playing (although them having fun with it did help!) but I wanted to try the Kinect.  :)  :cow:

Its good there is no camera around (and I am not saving the ingame shots!)

Its works good and as expected its a very natural interface. It also proved I am totally out-of-shape
Time to spend some more money on it...

Cool sounding feature for Kinect coming out called Avatar Kinect, kind of like a virtual chatroom using your avatars and of course, with it being Kinect, any body movement you make is reflected on screen.

Guarantee most online sessions do not play out like seen above though. There's gonna be a shit load of masturbation gestures, doggy style positions and other simulated sex acts. It will be sheer filth XD

There's a cool site I found, TrueAchievements.com Essentially they give scores to what they think achievements should have based on their difficulty and number of people who've earned it. Add in your gamertag and it creates a new gamerscore for you, just for kicks. It's a neat little site where you can compare your score with others. It also contains a ridiculous number of stats about you, your friends, other players and on 360 games in general.

I'm new to Xbox 360 and Live memberships.

Unlike PSN, Xbox Live memberships/accounts cost money.  With PSN, they also allowed Master accounts with sub-accounts for household/family.  Sub-accounts are usually for those under-18 years old, parental control, etc.

Do Xbox live allow that sort of thing?  I just don't want to be paying for 2-3 accounts, who are all under the same household.  One membership is enough, yet we want to be able to play online with separate accounts.

Closest I can think of is that they have an XBox Live Gold Family pack. It allows 4 accounts on one 360 to have gold access for the price of two single gold subscriptions. Here's more info if you need it:

Ok I really don't know what to do about this, maybe someone can help me on this. I've always seemed to have an issue with headsets, friends and randomers complain about echo or noises and it seems to come from me (in party chat and even in game, my mic always seems to be switched on even when I switch on mute). It's a Microsoft official wired one, tried out on two official wired controllers that I have owned I bought  since I got my 360. The same has happened with another headset, GAME's own, that I bought before. By force of habit, (namely my nephew snapping my old one yesterday ) I bought GAME's own wired headphones again and my friends are still complaining.

So..what the fuck? Am I doing something wrong? Is there some button or setting somewhere that helps me out?

do you have a kinect plugged in?

you can always spot someone who has kinect when the game's audio is being replayed to you through their kinect microphone lol

No Kinect. I wouldn't have space in my room to play it with anyway  Besides, whisper it quietly the Kinect is pretty rubbish right now

I've had these problems before the Kinect was released.

Broken wire?

I am now using a wired Triton AX720 (with surround sound decoder), I tried a Steelseries 7XB (wireless) but it kept having interference with the wireless and eating batteries like there is no tomorrow.

The Kinect is fun when the game uses it correctly. And it should be somewhat more logical to do certain combined movements like crouching while aiming. Something I always have a problem with doing with buttons...

have you tried adjusting the volume? i've got a turtlebeach one and its got a separate volume for the mic...and i know sometimes other people's voices sound weird, like theres some sort of distortion or electronic processing on it if they've got their mic volume too loud

Installed the new update yesterday, now everytime I turn on the console I think there's something wrong when I see the greyish background instead of green XD
Also the system seems to takes forever to shut down since the update

No problems updating here, and I also installed the companion app on my Nokia 800.

I think I'll try to use Kinect this weekend.
