Texas County Official Sees Race in Term 'Black Hole'

Quote from: news

DALLAS — What do "black hole," "angel food cake," and "devil's food cake" have in common?
They're all racist terms, says a Dallas County, Texas, official.
A county commissioners' meeting this week over traffic tickets turned into a tense discussion over race when one commissioner said the county's collections office was like a certain astronomical phenomenon.
"It sounds like Central Collections has become a black hole," Commissioner Kenneth Mayfield, who is white, said during the Monday meeting.

Geesh, I guess White Mage and Black Mage are also racist terms. Somebody should let Square Enix know this now!!   :cow:

^ Yeh just what are they inferring by letting Black magic be the offensive type of spells when White magic are the good ones?!?!

Absolutely ridiculous. PC brigade strikes once again looking to raise trouble when there isn't any.

Meh.

The "White = Purity, Good, Holy; Black = Evil, Bad" thing has been remarked on for a long time.

Maybe the solution is to stop referring to Africans and Caucasians as White and Black (which are inaccurate anyway) rather than try to change every other aspect of the language.

I wonder if he gets upset when someone calls a bill 'fair'?
