Japanese newspaper admits infamous sex column was untrue

The WaiWai column developed a huge online following with its tales of incest, bestiality and suburban debauchery.

The stories, published in English, were presented as direct translations of real-life stories from Japanese magazines, but the Mainichi Shimbun newspaper has now apologised and admitted that many “contained incorrect information”.

I was wondering what happened to that site. The frontpage just had some apology about sexual misconduct but didn't know it was this huge O_o.

Sadly I didn't go there for the sexual stories but for real news and Sudoku <_< I like the music

Now Mainichi Websites are BORING. Put in a overly cautious female editor to run website.  All interesting stuffs are gone.  Dr. Kitamura is nowhere to be found.  Column about Train station Bento is gone.  Now we can only read crime, weather, earthquakes and politics, just like the rest of the world. Waste of money to run this redesigned website.

I first found out about the Mainichi site in early-mid 2005.  A lot of the more sexual stories they ran did seem somewhat farfetched and/or made me go "WTF" when I'd see them. First one like the latter that comes to mind was one of the first stories on it that made me aware of the site. Long story short, it was about a woman who'd do fellatio on her son before he'd have an exam/test at school so that "he could relax". O_O

Then there were other stories like the one that was about how bus tours were a good way to get laid (particularly from attractive housewives who had taken the tour for a little break from their everyday lives and who weren't getting any from their over-working husbands).

They'd be good for a chuckle, but yeah, like that would really happen.

Yes I did, it was the exact same template as the Yahoo version but greener with music I'm not preverted like you <_<

And the last story I read on that site was the Pokemon High speed Train with pictures of Pikachu
