Geez! it's a good thing I ordered a new shipment of hello kitties!  I'm tempted to set them aflame before launching them!  but since I like you too much to do that *Sukoshi throws hello kitties AND bad tasting chinese new years candy at Shiya* HMPH!  Take that!

*rewinds to the beginning*

WHERE IN THE WORLD DID YOU DISAPPEAR TO?!?!?!?!??! I was so friggin worried! At first I thought you were busy hence the drop-off-the-H!P-radar result. Then more days passed and I started to wonder if you were sick. When even more days passed, scary thoughts began to pop into my head. I was so afraid that something bad happened. It's a good thing you're back now but don't ever, EVER disappear like that again okay? *sniff*

ah gomen ne Shiya chan I'm also gonna steal this tread for a second to apologize to hammy san.  but erm to compensate I'll tell you a little more about the hello kitty and bad candy comment!

erm...must think of a witty excuse pronto to appease my dear hammy san! . . . . . erm....hmm...yabai...drawing a blank is no good   Hmm I have been busy but thankfully not sick (though that didn't stop everyone from trying to pass their germs onto me!  thank you very much onii sama...darn winter).  To be honest, I didn't think I'd really worry anyone by taking a little break but I think I've been mistaken.  Erm..*sniffy eyes*  I'll try not to worry anyone in the future ^_^;;;

and now for the hello kitty dolls?  lol...I actually have a lot of plushies lined up on my shelf so that was a lovely source of inspiration that one night I was taking it out on a poor writer...(either kona or shiya first)    Now if that wasn't bad enough...good god.  the candy.  THE CANDY!  Yes, I do celebrate the new year..and every year okaa sama would buy the cutest candy.  In addition to the regular new years candy, like white rabbit candy and lucky candy (利是糖)..(didn't have any this year cause they've been deemed poisonous now? go figure ) there's also really cute candy that are shaped like baby corn and other nice looking things...but by god they taste like rubber.  That should have been the hint.  if they look like rubber...they just might taste like it too!  ^_^;  For whatever reason, mostly the fact that they were so bad that we blocked it from our memory, we would buy some more the next year.  For the last couple of years my friends didn't know any better and picked the cute looking stuff and boy did they thank me for that   seriously...not only do they taste bad but they magically make you forget they taste bad the next year.

anyways I'm sure people have stopped reading my babble awhile ago so let's just all poke Shiya chan for a new one shot =D

*slings an arm over Sukoshi* Found her in Sayu's thread. Had me damn worried too. *poke* But I'm glad to see you back. Actually, you've been missing out on the news:  I'm supposed to have a fic spree sometime in the future. I think it should last for about a week...(Or maybe a bit longer.) Gotta clear some time for myself first. I'm working out of order on all of the fics. Current one that I'm working on is gonna be my longest. It's around 2/3 done and on it's fifth page... ^^; (2244 words so far...)

Not the bad tasting new years candy!! T__T *crawls back to her own bowl of better tasting candy* I actually celebrate, too. Vietnamese/Chinese New Year... Red envelopes... But I swear, I've been pigging out on the candy. That can't be a good sign. ._.

*shields self from poking* I'll get the fics out!! ...Sooner or later.  But seriously, with all of the Eri love that's been floating around lately, the ideas just won't seem to stop. o-o I plan on screwing with the timeline in one of the oneshots, though.

Inspired by Hikki's song "Come Back to Me" that's supposed to be on her English album. Click here to listen. I only used specific stanzas that gave me the idea for this fic, so I recommend reading before listening. Hence why I put the link AFTER the fic. Lol.

So how many of you figured out which pairing it was during the fic? Let me know which pairing you thought it was if you thought different, because you should be able to tell by the end.  (Yes, I photoshopped it myself. )  If could couldn't figure out who the last girl is, it was [bgcolor=#000000]Kamei[/bgcolor].  And just to be double sure, the fic is in [bgcolor=#000000]Ai-chan's[/bgcolor] POV.  I just don't want anyone confused.  I promise my next fic will be light-hearted!!

Jeez, you got me into one of my "I know what's gonna happen so I'm gonna whimper out loud" things. I started freaking out as soon as it said that Gaki was leaving for just two days. But once Gaki found them, I was all, "NOOOOOOO!!" I love my TakaGaki too much but I love this fic too. As for the pairings, I was like Fenrir and could tell by the Reina thing, as well as the joke about not being able to hold liquor. I knew it was Kame too, who else would be with Gaki in this kind of story?

ah...I so didn't guess right at the beginning....I blame you for that though   Your hello kitty warning threw me off...and this being another song fic, I was thinking...oh no!  This must be a continuation of Reminiscence!  

All this time I thought it would be about Gaki and how she ended up losing Kame.  Since the narrator had brown hair I figured I was still on the right track...also figured it would be GakiKame related based on your preferences.  But then the Reina part threw me off...I imagined it was Eri cheating on Gaki with Sayu (yes, it's just an auto response by my brain) but I couldn't really see Eri drinking wine and stuff...After find out it's Reina, for a split second I thought of Ai chan but I could totally see it as TanaKamei so I was back to GakiKame.  The ring part also threw me off since it's usually Ai chan with the ring but Gaki was the one with it.   and then I thought it was Ai chan in the store since she liked gadgets...my brain was about to die at this point from changing the narrator and characters around every few minutes.  It's pretty funny since I usually figure it out really fast who the characters are but this time even though my brain was trying desperately to tell me it's not a story about Eri cheating on Gaki...my heart was being stubborn and not listening

oh I waited...and waited...and was pleasantly surprised that everyone was still alive

nice touch with the photoshop.  Surprisingly with my brain activity being so low tonight, I'm a little surprised I saw this coming based on the fact that I listen to this song quite often and know the lyrics include the word photoshop..and that you've been playing around with CS in other posts 

anywhoo since everyone's alive, I'm a pretty happy camper!

C'mon! Bring on da raburabu!

“Excuse me… I think I’m done.”

“Eh?”  Eri looked up questioningly from her bowl of soup at one of her closest friends.  “But Gaki-san, your bowl is still half full…”

'K, considering how you ended off the last chapter of this...initial thoughts of the setting were.........different than GakiKame having soup.

“You DO still have your key, right? Or am I not gonna have a roommate tonight?”

“Oh come on!” Eri whined.  “I’m better than that!! …I think.  Er, it doesn’t matter anyway, does it?”

It might, depending on whether or not there's actually anyone IN GakiKame's room when Eri eventually goes up there.

Aichan and Risa had "their talk", right? So like, what's the deal now between them? 

“I’m done, too.”

“You serious??” Reina, too, looked up from her dinner at her own roommate.  “You’re not done either!!  And you hate wasting food!!”

“…Reina, go check your eyes.  I’m done.”  Ai lowered her bowl to further prove her point.  “I’m gonna go now…  See you in a bit Ren-chan.”

Well, well, well, Aichan's finished too?

Ai placed her bowl on top of Risa’s before quickly moving out of the small dinner room, not giving anyone else a second glance.  Risa fell silent and gently bit the inside of her lips; the atmosphere was too awkward to talk.  Reina and Eri looked at each other and confusedly before turning to their elder friend.

“Somethin’ goin’ on here that I don’t know about?”

Eh? No flirty glances? No winks? Should we be worried that things didn't go that well during "the talk"?

“Something’s up, huh?” they stated in unison.

“Nnnnn… Aah…” Eri sighed, stretching out in her seat.  “I don’t get it Reina-chan.  Why can’t they just talk like they used to?”

“Love’s complicated when you don’t know it’s mutual.” Reina chided, shaking her spoon at Eri.  “It’s not like you didn’t know how it felt.”

“Eh…” Eri diverted her eyes to the floor, unable to come up with a response to the accusation.  Suddenly her eyes brightened and she clapped her hands together excitedly.  “I GOT IT!!!”

“Oww… Eri, that hurt my ears.  And just what do you have?”

“We’re gonna get Gaki-san and Ai-chan together…tonight!!”

Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaait a sec.....is this a prequel?   Risa and Reina haven't been "locked out" of their rooms yet? Reina and Aichan didn't have that texting convo yet? O_o

Eri laughed grabbing onto Reina’s hand and pulling her out of her seat.  “We’re gonna play matchmakers tonight, Reina!!  Let’s go!”

“B-But…my soup!?” Reina complained, allowing herself to be dragged along by the physically stronger girl.

“Aww, leave it.  Sayu’ll get it for us.”

But...but...but...the soup!

“I still don’t think it’s a bright idea…”

“You’re talking to the aho of the group, Reina.  Of course it’s going to be – hey wait a sec, did I just call myself…?” Eri paused before shaking her head.

Eri self-burns!

It IS a prequel/Alternate POV!!! AND we've also got TANAKAMEI!!!

“…I kinda got locked out…”  Reina muttered, sheepishly scratching the back of her head.  “I told you it wouldn’t go well.”

“Well did you at least get anything out of it?  Looks like you’re hiding something behind your back…”

“Well, I managed to snag Ai-chan’s diary…journal…notebook…THING before I got out…” Reina pulled the notebook out from behind her back.  “Dunno what I could do with it though.  Accidentally grabbed onto it while I trying to not get locked out… Does that make sense?  I’ve got my phone, too…if that’s of any use.”

“Are you kidding me??” Eri gaped at Reina before snatching both items out of the former’s hands.  “It’s perfect!!  Just watch.”

OSNAP! The texting thing was Eri's idea?!?!?

That turtle's more slick that she's gotten credit for. 

“Eri, how much time have you been spending with Sayu?”

“Uh…I was talking with her earlier today.  Why?”

“…I think her evil side’s contagious…”  Reina whispered, shaking her head.  “Be careful how much time you spend with her, Eri.”

*ERI "STALLS" RISA*

“We…we need…to talk…”

“My room’s available.”

“Whaddaya know…it worked.”  Reina whispered, turning to look at her companion.

TanaKamei = 

“Told ya it would end well.”  Eri smirked.  “Now we don’t have to deal with any leader or sub-leader problems.  See, everyone wins.”

“Not necessarily,” Reina frowned, a new fact dawning upon her mind.

“What are you talking about?”

“I’m kinda out of a place to sleep tonight…” Reina mumbled.  Eri chuckled lightly in response before leaning down closer to her ear.  Reina shuddered underneath Eri’s warm breath.

“Well there’s always my room…”

Oh fook yeah.

Reina made a mental note to talk with Sayumi again before she was pulled into the newly vacated room.

Indeed, Reina will need to thank her for her influence on Eri. 

Extra Excerpt:

Sayumi sneezed as she walked into the condo’s small kitchen.  She lightly dabbed at her nose with the back of her hand before switching on the small room’s lights.  Even a bunny needs her midnight snacks, after all.  Expecting to simply saunter over the refrigerator to grab something, she instead groaned at the sight that befell her eyes first.  Soup.

“Oh you’ve got to be kidding me…”

Sayu doesn't like soup?

“…Reina, go check your eyes.  I’m done.”  Ai lowered her bowl to further prove her point.
