Paintballer arrested for shooting rival in the face

A paintballer is facing jail after blasting a rival at point blank range in the face.

The arrest - believed to be the first ever in the sport - came after the victim was rushed to hospital when the paintball smashed into his face just millimetres from his eye.

"The player shot his rival from just two metres, despite seeing that he was not wearing any kind of protective mask," said a police spokesman in Kotor, Montenegro.

Todor Makavejic is now facing a prison sentence for the attack after police handed the case to an investigative judge.

Medics are still examining the victim, whose sight might have been affected in the attack.

Someone shot me in the face too when I was dragged into a game (figures, being the only girl around a bunch of guys at that time), of course I had my helmet on and all, but I actually felt the thing start to lift when the ball hit it
