Zooey Deschanel and Natalie Portman are starring in a stoner comedy together?! I think I'm going to faint! Deschanel is the latest to join the cast of the dragon slaying period comedy Your Highness being directed by David Gordon Green that starts shooting this month in Ireland. Danny McBride stars as an arrogant, lazy prince named Thadeous who must complete a quest to save his father's kingdom. Joining him on the quest is his more heroic brother, played by James Franco, and Belladonna, Franco's "virginal bride," played by Deschanel. Natalie Portman is also on board to play McBride's love interest, a warrior princess.

Your Highness was co-written by "Eastbound & Down" stars Ben Best and Danny McBride. In our interview with Gordon Green last year, he explained that it was "about a prince that smokes weed and fights dragons." And as for the mythical creatures in it, they won't be CGI at all. "There's a lot of creatures. No CG, like Ray Harryhausen. Stop motion stuff and then a lot of puppets and things." I was already very excited for this, as it just sounds like Pineapple Express but set in the medieval times with dragons and knights. But now with Deschanel on board and Portman, this has definitely been taken to new heights! We'll keep you updated.

I just watched Gigantic and unfortunately it was pretty damn average. Zooey and Paul Dano had absolutely no chemistry between them

Top Chef Masters Will Cook for Zooey Deschanel

Those of us who watch Top Chef Masters on Bravo saw last night that the next episode will give the master chefs the challenge of catering an event for Zooey Deschanel and her friends. There’s no word yet about whether or not her older sister Emily Deschanel will be a part of it or not, but I’ll let you know once I find out. To be on the safe side, though, you should probably try to record or watch the episode, just in case.

The chefs will find out that the challenge isn’t as easy as they might at first think. Zooey will give them the special limitations for the meal. For one thing, we already know it will have to be vegan. That alone is a big challenge for chefs that aren’t familiar with the vegan diet. But who knows what other limitations the chefs will be given.

If you aren’t already a viewer of the series, I suggest you watch at least the next episode. It promises to be interesting!
