I imagine "M-line" would probably refer to the "モー" part of "モーニング娘。" since most of the members are former members

C-ute (among others) has been awarded a Excellent Work Award for "Edo no Temari Uta II". Which in effect is a nomination for the Japan Record Award.

Discuss in the Edo no Temari Uta II thread: http://forum.jphip.com/index.php?topic=16223.msg529588#msg529588

Matsuura Aya new single "Chocolate Tamashii" (Chocolate Soul) Single V
Kirarin Revolution Special Live DVD
Morning Musume Naichau Kamo Single V
Ongaku Gatas Concert ~Come Together~ DVD

All the links redirect to Tsutaya main page now, but they existed. It wouldn't be the first time that an online shop has to put a product down because it was either too soon to drop it or because of the label request. At least we know Aya is getting a new single!

And yet some more Aya news. The MAFF (Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries of Japan) casted Aya for a series of commercials that will air Jan thru May in Japan to remember the Japanese people how to eat healthy.  :)

The official Hello! Project site lets us know the following:

While at home on January 5th Matsuura Aya has hit her left foot hard. The diagnosis was that the fourth toe on her left is broken. Complete recovery is expected to take six weeks.
Matsuura Aya will participate in the January 10th Elder Club concert with a taped foot to fixate the broken toe. It is likely that the original intended performance is not reachable.

For those interested, ex-H!P member Goto Maki premiered her new MV on TV today. It was filmed last Christmas by Kawamura Kensuke, the director of MTV and Space Shower TV awarded Hide & Seek, by Namie Amuro. Video can be seen at her own thread.

That's great news! I wondered what had happened to Sumire after the Happy 8 audition, I was hoping she'd win...

I think she'll definitely do well in AKB48 :)

That's awesome! Good to see Sumire didn't give up and kept at it. :yep:

A "research student"? I guess that's AKB's version of "The Eggs"? :P

^ A little bit. The Research Students do some backup dancing regularly (it depends on whether or not the show itself has any backup dancing involved to begin with), but their main function is to replace absent Team members in day-to-day shows and concerts. There have been times when ~7 or so members are absent from a Team (a Team is generally around 16 girls), so seven Research Students literally go in and fill in about half the Team's spots for the days show. They're kind of ... the overworked and underpaid group out of the bunch, since they usually have to learn all the choreography for the three different Teams' shows going on.

^ You mean it gets low view ratings? I am not to surprised, ep02 was rather slow and slightly to obvious.
Athough Ai-chan jumbing over the fence and climbing that workplatform etc. was nice to see :)
