Getting ready to celebrate his 55th birthday on February 26 is Keisuke Kuwata. He was forced to stop all professional activity last year due to the diagnosis of early stage esophageal cancer. Treatment has been a success (!!!) and the delayed release of his new solo album "MUSICMAN" is now scheduled for February 23.

Listen to Kuwata san with Southern All Stars, performing "夏をあきらめて" (Natsu o Akiramete), set to some lovely summer photos:

"Love Without End" a 1961 film, a Shaw Brothers production directed by Doe Chin.
Actress is Linda Lin Dai, who committed suicide in 1964 at the age of 29- a brilliant career cut short.
From comments on YouTube, the actual singer is Carrie Koo Mei.

so I was wondering, did anyone ever make a biopic about her life???

And then what about the actual singer in the clip that I posted- Carrie Koo (Ku) Mei? I have heard about her, but I don't know much.......but what a voice!!
