Genie sounded like Amuro Namie's "Black Diamond" up until the chorus. Kind of wish the arrangement wasn't as soft, but I still like it.

I agree with Liam, the camera work sucked like always. Why did you have to pan away during Hyo's solo dance?????

Hahaha I don't know. Because of that performance, I started to like the concept more. Not only that, but the dance was cleaner, or so it seemed.

but I gotta agree with tama, the outfits were bad and I usually like the sneakers. Camera work wasn't much better. Plus Music Core did the same thing people complained about during the Gee comeback where they edited the sound kind of bizarrely. On the plus side It did seem like they sped up the dance steps a bit or had more confidence with the shoes or something.

Etude however, definitely made up for it. Everyone just looked so adorable (besides Tiffany's extensions/weave/whatever, time to abandon thst) and I'm seriously loving Sunny and Taeyeon right now. I wonder why Tiffany lip-sync her solo though. :/ It's strange I liked it so much because the song was kind of "meh" for me till now.

Hopefully they'll break out the awesomeness with the white unis for Inkigayo.

FWACK! Did Sunny cut her hair? My sister wanted to watch the comeback performance at Music Core so I decided to watch it again just for her. But she pointed out something that I totally didn't noticed when I first saw it because whenever I saw Sunny, I'd just giggle that her bewbs were so big they were afraid they'd spill so they had to cover it with a shirt.
I didn't bother to notice that half her hair was gone!
... It has been looking rather puffy... like Sooyoung's hair before she revealed that that was a fake pony tail.

PLEASE don't tell me she did D: I want Sexy Sunny, not Cute Sunny cuz sometimes she goes overboard with the cute and...

That performance was far superior to the last one, they looked a lot less awkward. Camera work was also a lot better. No comment on the singing. But yeah, the outfits weren't as sexy, but then they actually looked a bit like authentic military women from like the 50's which is obviously the concept they're going for with the look and dance.

Etude performance was a breath of fresh air though, going back to their roots. It struck me a lot more than either Genie performances. They looked great too. Jessica's hair was awesome.

This album is...nice, I guess, but it's not something I'd put on my playlist (except for Genie and the duet). Girlfriend is so 80s idol pop but I don't like the way they singing it. The music reminds me of the 80s but the singing does not. Botfriend sounds hard at the beginning, then it goes fluff. The rap makes me lol a bit . Donghwa is really nice, I like it, but still not something I'd listen to a lot. The duet is great. I thought I wouldn't care for it since I found both their voices pretty light. But it's my 2nd fav song from this album.

Okay, I started out with Girlfriend and was very disappointed. But now Boyfriend is keeping me entertained. Hopefully My Child and One Year Later will be just as good.

I really like Girlfriend too, It's not that they didn't sing it in the 80's style, I think. I think it's that their voices aren't recorded and mixed the same way. It has a more modern crispness to the vocal track.

The english in Boyfriend is lol. But I don't think the song is that bad. I like that it's pretty poppy. I personally don't like it when pop groups try to have all this attitude, especially when they're a group of cute girls. Probably why I'm not really into this new wave of hip-hop, pop hybrid girl groups.

I never told my opinion of Etude, but it sounds like it would be a recent Kara song. Not bad, but not that great either. But it does bring the cuteness.

My child is just ok. It's a bit different from what they've done before, but it just doesn't really convey any feeling I think, pretty boring. Sounds like a musical track, but not one of those that stick in your head.

1 year later is a nice track. But doesn't really stand out as a ballad. Would be nice in a movie or drama though.

Overall, nothing really stands out too much from this album. Like tama said, it's "nice."
