As a hockey fan in general, the Canada VS USA game that just finished was majorly awesome. Nevermind the rivalry the 2 nations share in this, but right out of the gate both teams played hard, full of drive and full of passion. Gotta give props to the USA defence and particularly to goalie Ryan Miller. They did a great job of frustrating our Canadian players and making sure that any shots that they did get would be turned away. The American forwards did a great job of forechecking and limiting what our guys could do. The entire American team played at their fullest and they totally earned and deserve this win. It was a fast-paced, intense game that is easily the most entertaining of the games so far.

Now with that being said...as a Canadian hockey fan...

That one point with all the breakaways one after the other almost melted my face. Hopefully the US can keep it up and be in the Gold medal hunt when all is said and done.

Nice to see Michigan representing well. Miller was standing on his head out there! Rafalski a couple goals and a helper. Jack Johnson also playing well and Kesler had an empty netter.

Ireen Wust (NL) beat Groves (CN) and Nesbitt (CAN) at the 1500m speed skating!!

She had a crap season so far, but she nailed it this time!!! I stayed up all night to watch the races

All our medals (3 gold, 1 silver, 1 bronze) come from speed skating

and I expect two more for the 10K and team pursuit!!
