Foley vs Edge is easily one of the most memorable matches in ages (and I mean that in a good way versus say...Brock vs Goldberg which is one of the most memorable matches in a bad way).

Anyone here into Japanese wrestling?

Also, for wrestling fans, what is your favorite wrestling video game?

For me, Fire Pro Wrestling D is the best wrestling GAME ever.  But, WWF No Mercy for Nintendo 64 is the best wrestling SIMULATOR of all times, if you follow my logic.

Ouch, Orton got suspended.

http://www.wrestlingobserver.com/wo/news/headlines/default.asp?aID=15931

Now this is interesting, considering all the bad press the WWE gets due to the conduct of their workers.  Makes me wonder what he could have possibly done to make the WWE say "Hey Orton, even though you're one of our top stars at the moment, you've gone over the line. You're out of here for 60 days."

I'm with you on Fire Pro Wrestling D, I played that forever. It's probably edged out by Fire Pro Returns for the PS2 now though, they're pretty much the same game but Returns has a better career mode and other improvements. As long as they don't change the basic gameplay though Fire Pro games will always be the best in my opinion. As far as the simulator games go I'm enjoying Smackdown vs Raw 2006, the grappling system isn't a patch on Fire Pro, but the huge amount of match types makes it pretty fun, especially the elimination chamber and a bunch of others that aren't in Fire Pro.

Damn, that sucks. He's one of best heels they've got. I guess the bright side is that 2 months isn't THAT long, but it makes you wonder what he's done because I can't see WWE wanting to sideline him unless it was something pretty bad. Vince usually lets his bigger stars get away with most stuff because he knows it hurts the shows to leave them out, so he must be pretty pissed about whatever it is Randy's done.

The grappling on Smackdown vs Raw series has always bothered me.  The features are nice (and, as always, the graphics of course) but the gameplay always hindered my enjoyment for that game greatly.  Not a bad game by any stretch of the imagination, but No Mercy still to this day feels like the truest wrestling simulator to me.

This "monster" who attacked The Undertaker last smack down reminds me of Giant Gonzalez vs. The Undertaker  :)

I think that guy gets kick his ass out in a few months off the WWE.  :D
He played a role in "The longest Yard" with Adam Sandler. Or? *g*

I think Wrestlemania was pretty good.

The Foley vs. Edge match had some great moments, although I never figured out why Foley's shirt, previously doused in lighter fluid, didn't immediately catch on fire after he was speared onto the burning table.

The Vince vs. HBK match had some tremendous psychology.  Bad match, technically, but it built up so many possibilities, particularly a potential return of DX or HBK heal-turn.

The Triple Threat match was underwhelming.  I actually liked the post-WM Smackdown match between Mysterio vs. Orton better.  Great psychology in that match.

Speaking of the post-WM Smackdown match, was I the only guy that completely marked out at the tag match between London & Kendrick vs. MNM?  That was a stunning match, fast paced, with some great psychology.  I was really on the edge of my seat for the 2nd half of that match, and really loved the ending.  THAT is how a tag match should be booked.

I want to talk about wrestling o_o It's weird I've started to watch Raw and Smackdown and that I actually look forward to them now. It's just a shame I think we miss a lot of stuff - for example, there was supposed to be a match with Boogieman VS. Booker T (or something), but it's been 2 weeks and there are no signs of it. Also, sometimes when the commercial break ends it seems like we've suddenly missed like 5 min of the match and suddenly there are more people there than before commercial break and weird stuff like that. But oh well. I guess I'll live. xP (Also, we don't get Wrestlemania at all, at least that's what my brother said. So we'll miss the most important matches? ROFL OH GREAT.)

Anyway, it's really weird I like watching that stuff even if I dislike the actual matches. I don't like wrestling, it's mostly boring fighting with sweaty big guys smacking each other. Few characters actually have cool moves. RVD does (he also has a huge ass) and Mysterio has some due to his speed, ... And Boogieman has worms. But I guess that's it. Heh.

It's interesting how they really try hard to make some characters hateable. Like Orton and that Irish guy with shalele (?). They do so much unfair crap it can get really frustrating, like yesterday they showed matches that Mysterio and Angle were about to win, but then Orton came out of nowhere to wear them out so that their counterparts could win. Pathetic stuff like that, but in a way genius because it really makes one hate those characters, which seems to be the aim here.

Also, I think it's pretty weird I like Cena and find him handsome even if he's like the complete opposite of 'my type'. I don't like guys with huge muscles, and he's handsome in such a boring way. But I still like him. Weird, huh.

Whom I hate the most now though is the 'the world's strongest man', he's insanely huge and weighs almost 200kg or something. He always has the same expression and he's boring to watch because his wrestling moves aren't exactly creative. (...Pretty much nothing about him is creative or interesting.) Yesterday we had to stare at him 'crush' Kurt Angle by holding him still, making it hard for him to breathe and such. So ok, there's nothing interesting about watching a huge guy hug a smaller guy k (because that's what it looked like, hugging). Where's the action in that :/ If there has to be violence, at least be creative about it. Anyway, I really look forward to seeing him lose. Because eventually he has to lose to someone. Lawlz.

And just so you know, we're probably a month late in Finland. :o And I don't know anything about wrestling ^___^

Cool shirenu, you just made the wrestling thread much more interesting!! A female perspective LMAO

That new Indian guy is awesome. He was so huge in Longest Yard. Dalip Singh! 7feet 1 inch tall, 180 Kg.

Singh is such a terrible wrestler it's not even funny. I had the (dis)pleasure of seeing him live a few years ago in Japan against the late great Chris Candido (R.I.P.).  He looks impressive (considering he's about the only 7+ footer who is in excellent physical shape), but he shouldn't be anywhere near a wrestling ring. Actually, I half take that back.  I think he may work in a limited "enforcer" role, but that's the extent of it.

That's a shame.  Gives puroresu a bad name.  Did you know if they bothered to put him through the New Japan Dojo?

Plus he's hardly in good physical shape anymore. Looks like he hasn't worked out in months. The last guy he needs to be feuding with is the Undertaker, those matches are going to be slow as hell and make the Undertaker vs Mark Henry matches look like classics.

They've been talking about it for a little less than a month now. Haven't you noticed how HHH isn't really "getting" along with "Mr. McMahon" right now on RAW (in the storyline)? Well, that's why. No definitive word yet on if it's going to be a permanent/long-term thing, of if it's just going to be a one time deal. Looks like it'll be done for a tag match with HHH and HBK versus McMahon and Shane-O at one of the upcoming PPV's.

JPH!P 's kuro808, Fushigidane, ChrNo, Jab & marimari. Always.
