This is part of a series of novels by famous (japanese) authors. This one is by Miyazawa Kenji. Rena appears on the cover but that's it.
If you browse the category here, you can find more. I remember seeing a selection with AKB members quite some time ago, so this might be a long running thing.
I like the idea btw. Reading some of the classics is always a good idea. And with beautiful idols on the cover, there's no excuse left not to buy some.
