Sweet, another test episode

I'm glad it's with Ijiri and that palm-reader/basketball coach/horror story teller guy instead of those three comedians.

Nice line-up too, many first timers

- Akarin may look and sound a bit like a baka sometime, but she's smart. Top 5 for sure.
- Abe once again confirmed for next gen Komori chara.
- Kato Rena looked a bit bored at times, or maybe was actually trying to learn something. edit: she looked super cute when she messed up the kanji question. edit 2: I think she might anti-pair with Lemon... gonna be interesting to see their dynamics in the future.
- Juri is awesome.
- Kinchan no baaaaka

- Masana got this.
- Pink Lady, nice one Rena.
- I wish I had Hirata's English accent.
- Kawaei was quite the baka in last week's Shukan... maybe these episodes can make it official.

Looking forward to the English section next time. Seems like Akarin got the AKB lyrics question correct

Priceless episode. English segments are always great fun.

Random thoughts:
- Sasaki and Iwate look so much alike, that's gonna give me problems

- Flesh lemon, lmao

- Hara's this <---> sith

- Juri looking good. Her 'are' comment was pretty clever imo haha.
- They re-used this lyrics question but only two of them got it... I wonder if the girls actually watch their own shows.

But man, only Masana broke 200/300... Low scores

If you count 55% as a pass, only 4/15 made it...

And Kato Rena is funnily enough in the exact same spot where Acchan used to be: right above the public humiliation zone

I think this episode pretty much confirm that Kinchan is from a whole different planet ~~or dimension~~.

Also I'm looking forward to the these Shukan member SP, wonder if there's gonna be more?

I like these one on one (one + fake mom) sessions.....Lemon and Kinchan both have the talent, and hope they are given further training and development.

Kinchan exists in a universe of her own making, where logic is governed by the law of tennen thinking.

They are seriously trying to launch Kinchan. In a way, it's highly similar to what they did with Shawako. First she got featured a lot during the test episodes and then she got some solo airtime in later shukan episodes.

However, in Kinchan's case it's having the opposite effect on me. She's a bit too wacky for me

And Kanon was absolutely right when she said that among the Team E members, Kinchan is the only one who can't do sexy.

The show is called Shukan AKB, not Shukan HKT!

Chori was pretty funny, but we saw that face before:

It's funny because she's one of the cutest girls I've seen in HKT so far:

Moriyasu has some epic piano skills

Murashige tried a bit too hard. Her gags weren't that funny imo.
Eto's pretty funny and cute. Too bad she didn't make Team H. I wonder why they pimp a HKT KKS.
Sugamoto with some gravure appeal as expected. Doesn't have much impact with so many clothes on, haha.
Kodama did the same appeal as Acchan did in the first ep of AKBingo. She's truly going for the center/face position of HKT, lol. Super cute though, she'll do fine.

Gekikarabu is back! ...but why am I not excited?

This episode is almost a metaphor for AKB48's future. It's more of the same, but with less impact.

I wonder why Shizuka was chosen as the captain. She was part of one of the original teams, but couldn't handle the spiciness that well at the time. I guess she's there for entertainment value; big reactions. Seems like Iriyama is the new ace.
No offense to the girls, they're ok and still have time to develop and stuff, but this gekikarabu revival wasn't what I hoped it would be.
