Since October last year I've been watching the latest Gundam anime.

Now I'm back to building model kits. Well improving my skills then building gunplas out of the box.

^Checked out the new episode where Sei's dad actually teaches about the basics of gunpla building? Need more! :D

They should just call the show Gundam All-Stars. It's total fan-service.
Wonders when a cool guy shows up with a Nu Gundam. Probably Sei's dad again... :P

Started watching Gundam Build Fighters too XD

I thought that kids were the target audience but damn, the show has some of the best Gundam fight scenes.

I like how they're pimping the Kampfer, it's one of my favorite designs and I don't like how it got killed in War in the Pocket.

No one has tried to use God Gundam yet? XD

WAR AKARI!!! Infernal Ninjutsu, Hidden Lore...Freedom of Opposites Technique!!! Rest in peace Kyle,Jab,Mom,Tita, ChrNo...

Well it is a 25-minute commercial to promote their model kits.

Unless there's gonna be a second season, I see that the series is nearing the end.  :(

On the bright side Gundam: The Origin, an updated version of the original series, will hopefully be airing later this year or 2015.

I started watching 宇宙戦艦ヤマト2199 (Space Battleship Yamato 2199) - I've never watched the original Space Battleship Yamato, but I've always been intrigued by the artwork. I saw lots of ads and displays for 2199 in a lot of record/DVD shops in Tokyo last summer, but never got around to checking out the remake until now.

I'm usually not a huge fan of big space/military/tactical/war series, but this has got me absolutely hooked. I'm not quite sure what sets this apart from shows I've abandoned in the past. The production value is amazing, though - the artwork is beautiful, and the soundtrack is awesome. The episode progression/story so far actually reminds me quite a lot of the first season of the Battlestar Galactica reboot. It's very character driven and engaging.

Yeah, Akira Toriyama-san. We felt the exact same way when we watched the Majin Buu arc.

Quote
In a comment from Dragon Ball original creator Akira Toriyama read at the completion conference and photo session for the newest series of Dragon Ball Z Kai, the manga creator revealed that since he wrote the Majin Buu saga, he has lost the want to draw battle manga.

He admitted the fact, saying:
The greatest enemy fight in “Kai” is the sublime face-off with Majin Buu, and Majin Buu was also the final enemy in Dragon Ball's weekly manga serialization. The final enemy is round, strong, and very persistent! ...It was such a repetitious and violent fight that even me, the person drawing the manga, came to hate continuing the fight. Now that I've become an old man with high blood pressure and a liking for bland foods, I will not draw this kind of fighting again. Actually, I've lost the want to draw fighting manga ever since [the Majin Buu saga].

Live-action Akira fan-made trailer:

Not bad imo. Need to read the manga. Hopefully sometime soon.

Still hoping Hollywood will never actually make a live-action movie.
