Chapter 22

Konno and I met each other outside of the building and gave a cheer to each other. We both felt the nervous tension between Fujimoto and us. We took the elevator up to the top floor and walked to see the office empty. We looked around and saw nobody in the space, and then Asami saw the note on the door.

Sorry to inform that the business has closed down and any questions will be sent to the home of Fujimoto Miki.

“This seems weird.” I looked around and saw nothing until the next moment where a person came running up.

“Asami and Risa, please come with me.” He guided us to the next room where we saw Fujimoto in tears.

“Asami, you need to get our business back.” I was shocked by the turn of events.

“What do you mean ours? It is yours.” Asami had her hands on her hips and she was visibly mad at Fujimoto.

“Yeah, I know but my husband got caught in a scheme and forced me to sell the company to the Michishige family.” We both turned to each other and the realization of the biggest company has now become bigger.

We both knew that it was impossible to get the company back but we needed to plan with Fujimoto to get the company back. Asami took the only computer Fujimoto had left to her name and researched the Michishige Company. First, the president is Michishige Ichiro, he was the main person Konno’s company had to fight against and the reason for the merger between Fujimoto and Konno’s families. Second, the daughter, Sayumi, is a princess in the media and she has been known to do some crazy stuff over the years. The most memorable moment was the underage drinking and the drug addiction rumor. Finally, the weakness was the president’s love of underage girls; he was known to scout them for sex and the daughter was the main person of interest for scouting them. I began to think how sick this girl was to ruin the dreams of young girls. She was drugging them and handing them off to the father for service. We all looked at each other but it raised one question. How are we going to set it up?

“Asami, I am sorry for doing this to you, I never knew I could get caught up in this scandal.” Fujimoto seemed to be serious and I had to take it lightly that if she were apologetic, she would have to follow through on the plan.

We all did brainstorming and found a way to get into the company; we would have to take the office lady job or be Sayu’s personal assistant. We all agreed that office lady would be an easier choice and wrote out our resume for the job. The next day, we had the same interview and each got the same job, it seemed we all could fit the description and plan out our moves from there.

“Miki, you are going to have to stick with us for this part and after we take him down, you can take your path from there.” She nodded and we swore that we have to stick together despite our differences in the past.

The one thing I found about Miki was that, she thought the father made a huge mistake of selling to an inept Konno. She thought that because of his lack of leadership, the companies would decide on a hostile takeover when he was in office. However, the understanding of his powers made Konno, one of the best bosses and great leaders. The three of us drank on that promise and I felt bad that Yuki died of nothing to protect me.

“Risa, I…” I turned away from her for that slight moment and she came around me and gave me a kiss on the lips.

“I love you and I felt jealous of Yuki, so I asked if I could have you but he refused and took a shot to the wall from my bodyguard.” I felt hurt that she would want me and she would hurt Yuki to get to me.

“Miki, you had no right to kill him, paralyze him, or even hurt him. I would work with you to get the company back but after you are dead to me.” She walked back and took her drink outside.

“Risa, wait.” I pushed Asami away and stormed outside.

“Risa, please~.” My fist hitting her face felt good and she hit the ground like how Yuki did.

I wanted to say something but my voice felt muted, Asami pulled me to the side, and everybody was around Miki to see the extent of her injuries. I wanted to kill her but with Asami holding me back; I lost my nerve and picked her back up.

“I deserve that.” Miki dusting her self off.

“Miki, I know you are sorry but he sacrificed for me and how does that make me feel. I feel crappy that you would do this to just be with me and take him away from this world. You had to consider gaining me you would take out my life when I first came here. Yuki was not only a friend but he was the protector of everything good in my life here.” Miki broke down crying and seeing her like this was never going to make me look any better than where I was before.

“I... never. consider the consequences until I saw the funeral and the blackmailing started to get to me.” She was not in the right mood to fight back, so I lowered my guard and let her speak.

“The media knew about what I did to Yuki and made me the bad person in this and that formality opened Michishige to give me 10 million yen offer.” My eyes opened wide and I was in shock that she would blow an opportunity to run a great company because of one mistake.

The phone rang and she picked it up, the caller seemed to know where we were and if we were too able to get the company back, there was going to be a sacrificial lamb. Fujimoto gave me the phone and walked to the street, the next step she went into the traffic and I pulled her out of the way. No words were ever going to bring her back and she fell asleep on the corner.

It will be great if Sayu is truly ebil in this story, since we don't that around. But she might just be the seducer instead?

Chapter 23

Fujimoto Miki

They must be eliminated; this is urgent and is declared level five threat.

I woke up the morning in an unfamiliar place, I wanted to panic, but I saw Konno sleeping on the other couch, so I sat back on the bed. My mind was concentrating on the plan, and if we failed, how much we are going to sacrifice. There was a lot at stake but for Konno and Fujimoto, we need to do this. I hurt a door open and seen Fujimoto in her nightwear, the clothes seem too big but she seemed to like it and walked up to me.

“Risa, I want to thank you for saving me from myself, I felt bad for ruining everybody’s dreams, I am not a person who does that and I realized how much I can learn from you two.” She hugged me and felt her warm body on my skin.

My body felt stiff, as her hands started to trace my body out, that sensation made me feel numb inside. I closed my eyes and let her continue the tracing. She put her hand under my shirt and it was on my midsection, the rubbing made me feel relaxed and she wanted to continue but I noticed Konno hovering over me.

“Risa, are you enjoying Fujimoto’s rub down? If you are then, can Miki run there too?” She started to laugh and told her to lie down and she started to do her rub down.

We had one more day until we implement our plan, Miki told us that this is a hideout for her because her husband had been out of town and if she went back to their house, she would get question constantly. It seemed cozy and it was not too fancy looking either. She told us that it was her first home she stayed in after moving from Hokkaido.

“I was quite naïve and I found a job at a club in Shinjuku, many men flocked around me and they would give me their numbers but they never had the prowess I wanted. Until, my future husband came in after he won the election and I just fell in love with him. He had the nicest eyes and he was young to be a politician but it did not care to me. He broke up with her girlfriend to be with me and showered me with countless gifts. There was the problem in the media that he is a ruthless person with women and many accounts of one - night stands appeared. It did not bother me at first but eventually I would be hounded after every rumor that appeared. Although, the issue of his power made him a target for the yakuza and I found out he was the blackmail victim. I left him and then the yakuza turned against him, he was beaten up and almost died if it was not for a witness on the scene. That is why I am in this apartment rather than the house.”

It seemed odd at the time but Fujimoto had been the victim and not the perpetrator. I felt a weird relief from her but the test was only hours away and the tension thicken around the three of us.

Chapter 24

The three of us entered into the building and knew this was now or never, we looked at each other and gave each other handshakes. We all took the elevator up to the top floor and took off to our cubicles; my cubicle was in the northwest part of the space. I just did a lot of paper work for the boss; all the forms and invoices were going through me then I felt a hand on my shoulder.

“Ahhhhh,” I suddenly turned around and saw the president’s daughter behind me.

“You are the new worker here, right?” She started to smile and I smiled back at her.

“My name is Niigaki Risa and you must be…”

“Michishige Sayumi, the president’s daughter.”

“Ah, nice to meet you, I am just doing all the paper work for your father’s company.” I wanted to punch her but I resist my anger.

“Yeah, I know, I control the flow of the paper work that goes to you that’s why.” She was irritating me but I wanted to get back to work.

“Sayumi, can you do me a favor?”

“Yeah.”

“I need another set of paper work you have for me ASAP.” She ran over and got me the forms, then started to walk away after a pat on the back.

That was a narrow escape and if she knew more, the plan would not have worked out. The first part of the plan was to plant a camera in the room, where he does his “business.” Asami figured it would be his office but it had to be a place where we might not hear noises. Therefore, we had a person call Sayu and he gives her the run down to a teenage runaway. The man was an agent in the runaways and exploited children department. He had an eighteen-year-old girl as bait for her, she would have to say her age was fifteen, she had a black purse with a small camera inside, and it would be broadcasted to the truck a mile away from the building. The plan was to plant the girl inside the office and right before the apparent assault; they would rush into the building and arrest both of them. The call came at 10:45 a.m., Sayu left for the bait, and we went to the break room for conference.

“Asami, I have a feeling the plan might be pulled off today.” I started to nudge her.

“Risa, I know it would work but you just have to be calm about it, do not make it like we know the plan.” Then, the boss walks by.

“I see you ladies are having a coffee break on you first day, I hope it will not be a long break because we have a lot of things to do in the company.” He started to laugh but I felt disgusted on what he does to the girls.

“Asami and Risa, how are you guys doing today?” She came running from her area to get herself a cup of coffee.

“We are just relaxing and waiting for time to pass by.” Asami says after her tenth sip of that same coffee she had from this morning.

Then, we heard the doors open and saw the girl enter, she looked like she was young but not too young, and it seemed perfect to have someone like her. We all ran back to our cubicles and started back working again, the anxiety was at the highest moment, when she came out of the office and saw her go out the door. Whatever he does, the police would come and arrest him, so I just started working through it briskly. An hour passed by and seemed nothing had happened until the sound of sirens came blaring. We rushed to the window and saw all the cars lined up in front of the building. I knew eventually they would find him and arrest him. They came up to the top floor, turned right to the basement, and caught him there with the girl and he did not know the set up. Then they blasted through our door and arrested Sayu but then my eyes caught this officer. However, I could not believe that it was…

Chapter 25

“Yuki!” I yelled then he turned around and his eyes grew.

“Risa, why are you here?” He was looking at Asami and felt his anger in his body.

He walked over to her and started to argue about why I was on the scene. He seemed angry that Asami would put me into a dangerous situation and he started to walk back to me. He seemed to notice my face and touched my cheek with his finger.

“At least you are okay.” Yuki went back to question the other people around us.

I felt confused that the person who I thought was dead, was actually a cop or undercover this whole time, but who was the other person? I ran up to Asami and started to question everything I knew from the start and make sure that I was not the one being screwed over.

“Asami please explain everything to me.” I shook her with tears running from my eyes.

She took a deep breath and started the story with the fact that she and Yuki were partners in the police force. Both were investigating Michishige’s tactics and business transactions and the issue of prostitution was not under their jurisdiction. Therefore, the other department had to force to work with us to wrap up this case. Takeda was our first concern and when we figured that, he was aiming at new employees to sexually assault them and to force them not to switch companies. When we heard of this, my father had allowed both us to work in his company. Takeda had his ways to provoke them to go his place and do his deeds but his mistress at the time, Takahashi, took him to another place on the office grounds for their own fun. Then, Yuki appeared because he wanted to protect you from him and the opportunity came up, so he took you in. Then, the incident of the assault on you came and Yuki became an instant suspect but he had an alibi because he was on the phone with me but he had to lay low for that time. His brother came home at the time Yuki left a note for Jiro to complete his mission while he had to get his name cleared from the police. At the time, your friend Eri pointed him out, but he was at work and despite everything, he was let go and ran into you.

“Is he Yuki’s twin?” Asami nodded and Miki was in total shock.

“So he kissed me to protect his identity of Yuki.”

“Yeah and Yuki knew about it because Jiro was training to become an actor but he had a birth defect that caused his death.” It was all coming back and the feelings were still mixed. Then, Yuki walked over to me and bowed to apologize.

“Yuki, where were you the whole time?”

“I was in Yokohama to see your family’s home.”

“Ehhhhhh, why would you do that?” I felt violated but then he took out a ring.

“I asked your father in your hand in marriage, despite not having you with me because you had work.” My heart just beat faster and faster, it was just romantic and he kept this all away from me.

“In addition, he knew about the attack on you and I told him to stay out of Tokyo because he would have been dead if he had knowledge about it.” Yuki did everything to keep my family out of trouble and it begged one question.

“Why did you have your brother cheat on me?”

“I did not know what he did with you, but his only commands were to not to touch you and no intercourse with you.” He started to smile and I realized the difference.

“Your brother’s face was much wider.” He nodded but did not notice it before.

Miki shook herself out of her shock and started to see the lines connecting with each other. She seemed to lose everything but gained friends along the way. She was not arrested for the assault and with her cooperation; she was to be a free person. Asami became promoted for her work and decided to work undercover in other schemes. Yuki and she was good friend from childhood and the one time they went out as a couple, they realized their goal was to become better people for the community, thus becoming police officers. Finally, Yuki and I got married seven moths later and we became better friends through constant communication. Asami still visits and Miki gave us an apartment to stay in together and eventually she became our personal assistant to our needs. Everybody got what they wanted and they became successful at their own pace.
