The biggest case of an overpowered gun at the minute is the Type 93 (sp?), a 3 round burst weapon like the M16, except while that weapon requires at least 2 shots to confirm a kill, this only needs one. You'll be able to pick off dudes in one burst from a distance with frightening accuracy no sweat.

Dayum! I totally need that gun

@Masa: I got at least 4 GW kills already, but yeah Kill Confirmed is my favorite!

@Tuffty: I just haven't got used to the Type 95 gun yet, it just doesn't give me the firepower I need. Probably because I need to upgrade it!  I've been using the M4A1 with the expanded sight mod on mine. Haven't got to any shotguns yet.

Right now, I'm at lvl 41(thanks to some of the double XP from last night. need to get some more caps since I'll be using some today) I've ben using some of the support packages and actually been knifing people a lot more than the grenade. That's usually one of my good perks is the grenade :P

lol the type 95 is different than a FAMAS...the FAMAS is french and the type 95 is chinese (they look similar but are 2 totally different guns)

it's accurate because of the way it's built - it has a really long barrel but the magazines load behind the trigger in the back, so the overall length isn't too long despite the long barrel

famas

type 95

I don't think they're making comparisons to the real life models, just tn the game. In MW2 multiplayer the FAMAS was renowned for being an overpowered gun as it was a 3 round burst fire weapon that could kill in two shots or less. The Type 95 handles the same way in MW3. And as there is no FAMAS in MW3, it's pretty easy to make that comparison.

Tried out the Specialist strike package for shits and giggles last night and surprisingly, I did really well 48-16 KD ratio on Sabotage :o Not sure whether it was down to the Specialist strike pacakge or what, but I really felt like a badass.

I really like Xbox Ahoy's videos for Black Ops as he stepped through a guide on each weapon in the game, strengths/weaknesses, suitable attachments, perks to use etc. Luckily he's started on MW3 and going through all the assault rifles at the moment but I'm sure he'll go through all of them eventually. This is the latest one, on the G36C and I'm having a great time using it :D

It's like being briefed by Captain Price

Spec Ops is tons of fun. Been playing it most of this afternoon. Tried out one of the missions where it has to be done in 2 player. A whole lot easier to do now that you can search out other people to play with. Did the only one available to me and managed to get 3 stars off it (eventually). Was a cool mission, I was in control of stationary turrents laying cover for another player making their way through a level. He complimented me on my shooting at the end XD Managed to get the achievement as well for clearing it on co-op on Veteran without a player getting knocked down.

Then hit up Survival mode and it was a ton of fun. Got up past Wave 15 and thought it wasn't so tough but how wrong I was when you're suddenly dealing with waves of armored dudes, suicide bombers, dogs and Juggernauts in on wave alone. But again, super fun, liked it a lot.

If anyone wants to pair up in a Spec Op mission or something just feel free to send a message, I'm willing to help a fellow hipster out :)

i tried out the type 95...it's pretty cool but i dont like the 3 round burst lol...i think i'm gonna keep leveling up the scar and cm901 - i've got the heartbeat sensor for the scar and will be unlocking it soon for the cm...i've mastered the fmg9 tho  :cow: (i wish they'd let you use 2 attachments for the machine pistols too - i'd love to have the extended mags + holo sight, and i'd love to have the kick specialty thing for them as well since they have some horrible muzzle climb  :nervous or i just have to learn to aim for the legs lol)

I tried out the ACOG scope for my M4A1 and I'm so glad I did. Back in the COD4 days, the M4 Carbine with ACOG scope was my go to gun. It was better than the iron sights, gave me a lot of zoom to make shots I couldn't otherwise make and I still performed decently with it at close range. But I hated the ACOG in MW2. They redid the crosshairs which looked bad and while the benefit was being able to zoom in on shots, the drawback was that the gun kicked back and got crazy recoil which made it impossible to use. Again, I tried out the ACOG last night for funsies, and I'm happy to say it's more lik COD4! Got a beastly score with it in some games yesterday. I think I've found my go to gun in this now. :D

i was using the delta reticle in the acog (since it was the latest unlock at the time) but i didn't really like it...imo the one with the 2 vertical dots or the half circle with dot are the best ones

beat the campaign today, ending had some sort of an anticlimatic moment for me after starting the stage with guns blazing.

probably will be playing online tomorrow morning and then turning it in. met a girl today who said she was playing the game with her friends. If I had only got her gamer tag, unless she owned a PS3

Had two epic moments last night in multiplayer, so epic in fact that I went straight into the Vault afterwards and cut them out as clips and made them into nice segments. I won't spoil it for you but I will say one involves using the Striker shotgun and the other is a 3 kills in one game winning killcam with the epic use of a noob tube :D Make sure to go to my vault and check it out!
