I really want to apologize for all the people who have started to read my story "Sisters". I was following the manga online, but it was removed from the stream probably due to the nature of its content and I was just having a difficult time adapting it to the two girls. I'm really sorry, but feel free to use your imagination to fill in the blanks?
I'm really terrible at keeping stories going, I haven't steadily written fanfiction in years, just sporadic writings when I feel like it. If it's okay, I wanted to post up stories I've started, and also ask for some opinion on how to continue. This summer I started writing an Ai-centric story that I'm trying to make realistic but it's difficult. I have no idea on my update speed or if it will be, but I hope it can be an interesting read. I just ask that if I don't continue ever or for a long time that you use your imagination to fill in blanks.---
Hello! I've been reading the fanfics here for a little while now and it really inspired me to write one too!

Some of the information might not be entirely accurate, but I had to change a little bit of stuff to make the story work more. I adapted the storyline from an (obscure?) manga, which I hope nobody has read or it will ruin the plot!
Thanks for your time!
Warning: There will be (implied?) sexual... happenings. Nothing too graphic, but it should be obvious. Read at your own discretion!

Chapter 1Takahashi Ai, 22, single. For a while now, I've been employed at the Hello! Project advertising company, and doing fairly well at my job. There are a lot of parties that go on with the employees, though to be honest, it's becoming tiresome.
"Ai-chan!" an employee whose name escaped me sidled herself to my side. "How about going out somewhere, just the two of us?"
I sighed inwardly to her suggestive flirting, but showed a calm and aloof smile. "Sorry, I have some business to attend to after." Puffing her cheeks in an attempt to look cute, she nodded and removed herself lightly. I'm not unpopular and quite good looking (if I do say so myself), but I was immune to any advances by my co-workers, female or not. I stood up to leave, but didn't make it very far into the hallway when a voice called out to me.
"Hey, Takahashi!" I was getting irritated. The alcohol I had consumed was starting to initiate a slight buzzing and this tool wasn't helping any. "Is Michishige Sayumi really your sister?"
My younger sister, Sayumi, who I am not related to by blood.
"The higher-ups were wondering if you could get her to do a commercial for us. Can you do it?"
My younger sister, Sayumi, who played a key role in my current job at HelloPro.
"She's a very busy girl," I began cryptically, "but I'll see what I can do." The man smiled and gave a thumbs up before returning to the karaoke room, not noticing the frown I returned to his back.
Fate threw Sayu and I together twelve years ago when my father married her mother. At the time, I was ten years old and Sayu was six. My mother had passed on when I was younger, so it had just been my father and I for the longest time, and that was what I was used to. It was strange to have more strangers in my life, especially one so close to my age. I remember being nervous and uncomfortable around the silent girl.
---
"Stop following me around!" a ten year old Ai shouted back, eyeing the other girl. Sayumi paused, but continued her slow pace towards her new step sister. "Go home!" Ai swung her leg over her bicycle and began to peddle away, when suddenly the bunny child began to run after her. However, Sayumi wasn't a very well coordinated child and quickly lost her footing, slamming face first onto the ground. It took a moment for her to pull herself up, both knees scraped bright red.
Halting quickly, Ai jumped off her bike and raced back, her kind nature kicking in. "Are you okay?" Sayumi gave a slow nod and merely looked at Ai blankly, orbs almost questioning.
---
That was the first time we seemed to acknowledge each other, and although it was strange for me to have a sister, I feel like we were able to bond a lot over time- at least until
that summer.
---
"Sayu! Hurry up!" Takahashi Ai, age 18, stopped her ascent and looked back down the hill. A cute teenager was panting her way up the hill, clearly not used to exercise. Upon reaching Ai, the older girl took her hand and led her up the hill at a more comfortable pace.
It was summer once again, and as a regular routine, the four person family was once again on vacation at the hotel resort owned by their father's friend. Both girls had grown up quite beautifully, though they were still young, especially Sayumi who was only fourteen. Due to Ai's short stature and Sayumi still growing, the two were often mistaken for friends more often than siblings, though that suited them just fine. Ai in particular spent more time with her sister than her other friends, enjoying their time together more.
The two girls reached their destination: a lonely building surrounded by rusted fencing that had been abandoned some decades ago. Ai and Sayumi had discovered this place together on their first vacation and had loyally returned each summer. Although one of them would be finishing high school soon, it didn't bother her to think that their secret place was childish at all.
"Eww, what bug was that?" whined Ai, swatting absentmindedly. Sayumi remained silent, true to her nature of when the two had first met. "Hmm?" Ai pulled the younger girl to a large, rusty locker situated against a wall. "You think there could be treasure?" she mused mischievously.
Nudging Sayumi inside to look, Ai quickly slipped in as well and suddenly pulled the door shut. Their source of light diminished with such a loud noise that it caused the bunny girl to jump with a start, only to press tightly against Ai.
The younger could just imagine the grin that stretched on Ai's features. "Don't do that! It's really scary!" Sayumi complained, only to have Ai snicker. "You shouldn't mess around in such a tiny space!" She tried to reach around the older girl, but do to their similar sizes, Ai was able to parry her efforts. Sayumi gave up quickly, cursing her lack of any physical ability.
"Whoo, you really made me work up a sweat," joked Ai, wiping her forehead with her arm. Sayumi muttered what sounded like "open the goddamn door" under her breath, much to the other's amusement. "Fine~" Click. "...?" Ai pushed on the door some more, trying to budge the rusted metal.
"It's stuck."

"EHHHHHHHHHH?!?!"
"What to do now..." murmured Ai to herself as Sayumi panicked behind her.
"You've got to be kidding me! You're hopeless!!" Despite her complaints, the younger girl suddenly quieted down surprisingly quickly and was still against Ai.
"It's really hot in here... And I have to go..." Ai turned to her silent companion, worry rising. "Are you okay, Sayu?" No reply. "Do you have to go too?"
---
I didn't receive any verbal reply back then, but I could distinctly remember her eyes closed, trembling with a flushed face, almost as though she were in pain. We did manage to get out after an hour, but that was the turning point in our relationship. Sayu began to act distant then, and immediately bolted back to the hotel, myself unable to catch up due to the stiffness in my legs.
I knew that Sayu didn't have many friends, (if Mr. Pill-Bug was any indication) but she was able to laugh and talk to me so easily. Even though we weren't related by blood, I truly felt that we were able to connect without speaking. After that incident, a rift came between us, and we barely spoke to each other.
---
"EHH?!" Stunned, Ai nearly dropped her chopsticks in surprise at the news her father brought her. "Sayu joined the tennis club?" Although the bunny girl was quite a fan of the sport, she wasn't an active girl in any sense, so it was surprising that she had joined such a physically demanding club. Especially since the Okajo schools had very high standards.
"Yes," her father confirmed, "she's been working so hard too. Sayumi was up at five today for her morning practice."
---
After that, Sayu was clearly avoiding me. Her schedule was crazy, between all of the intense sports practices and school, we barely saw each other despite living in the same house. Sayu wasn't the most naturally gifted tennis player, but she quickly became good with practice.
Around when she was sixteen, Sayu had already surpassed me in height. Although her face still held (adorable) baby fat, she was blossoming into a fine woman. It was becoming a regular event that men and women alike would loiter outside our house in hopes to see the bunny girl they crushed on. When people learned of my relation to Sayu, it wasn't uncommon for them to become starry-eyed and attempt to meet her through me, much to my chagrin. It was really annoying, and happened almost every other day as well.
Still, Sayumi wasn't the best player, but her looks and charisma drew attention from all the tournaments. She drew fan clubs all throughout the district and many gathered to watch her games. Matches that were broadcast on television had high ratings, with the press making a huge deal out of such a cute and talented tennis player. I was really proud of Sayu, but it was really depressing to have your younger sibling surpass you when you're the older one- supposed to be setting the example. That being said, I could only indulge in my one simple pleasure.
---
"Ah," a sigh escaped the short girl's lips as she prepared herself for her favourite past time. "VCR, check. Rewound, check." A bubbling feeling of excitement welled up inside her as she pushed the tape into the player. The video began playing, and it was times like these that Ai was glad that she had hid the tapes from her family. It wasn't that they didn't approve, but it was almost an annoyance towards her passionate obsession with Takarazuka, especially one Mizu Natsuki.
Headphones in, Ai tensed up as her favourite scene was reaching its climax. Unintentionally letting out a squeal in her excitement, she froze when she heard the door squeak. The twenty year old girl slowly turned around to see her sibling standing just outside in the hallway. Sayumi's gaze was icy as her eyes wandered over Ai's form, hunched in front of the little screen. Her lips moved, and though the words had not been spoken loud, the message had been quite clear.
"What a loser."
---
The moment following her departure, I was stunned. I was so shocked at Sayu's cold treatment to me that I slept in for two whole days. All of the pride I held at being the older sibling shattered and I felt my heart close itself up. Days passed, turning into months until the present, my heart still cold and passive to the world.
This year I earned an employee job, and Sayu would also be going to America to study. Despite the time that had passed, we haven't spoken since that summer.
I don't know what happened to Sayu when we were in that locker, but... my pride was beaten down with her cold eyes. Now that Sayu isn't in Japan, I've felt myself recover little by little.
"Sorry." A murmur behind me as someone grazed my back, but I ignored it.
By the end of this year, I aim for a speedy and complete recovery. I fully intend to fall in love and... lose my... virginity... and even become a bride!!!
"Welcome home, Ai-nee!" Greeting me at the door was my twelve year old sister, Mai. I mumbled a reply as I set my shoes aside and slipped my feet into my slippers. "Guess what! Sayu-nee is back!" I tensed up, only just noticing the pair of familiar sneakers at the entrance. "It was really random and- oh! And Sayu-nee said she's coming with us on our trip next week! You guys better bring me to your secret hiding spot!" I ignored her words, and peeked past her into the hallway. Light was coming out of the room via an opened door, an opened door that had been closed for quite some time until now. I swallowed and grabbed my shoes, hastily putting them on and bolting before anything else could be said.
"USOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!" My wounds run deeper than I thought and I felt my cold heart being pinched. Even just seeing the shoes that Sayu wore was enough to throw daggers at the organ in my chest. I booked it out of our house and just kept going, eyes glistening.

First chapter done! I hope it's okay...

I know the age differences are off (actually only 3 years, as opposed to the fictional four), but I still need Sayumi to be in school and Ai to not. In the manga, the age difference is 5 years, but those girls can change a lot in a short amount of time!
Sayumi doesn't really do tennis in real life (I'm pretty sure?), but I needed a sport and it said she liked tennis on various profiles. It was either that, or some sort of extreme Tetris or fourth grade math.
