Alright I got a story here. Maybe I might have said this story before but...ah well here goes.

I went on a recent trip to Las Vegas and found something from one of those guys handing out escort cards. If you've walked around the Las Vegas Strip then you're familiar with all the guys handing out those "GIRLS DIRECT TO YOU 1-800-696-6969" escort cards. But I found one of someone familiar...

 :?

Yes, there was an escort card of someone named Akiko. The thing is, that's an exact photo copy of Risa Kasumi's Graphis photoshoot. That's why there's an attached photo there, in the most safe for work way you can find...

If anything I was gonna call this number and ask this "Akiko" girl if she knew any of the Muscats...mostly the 1st gen girls like Shou, Acky and Asami. I mean, yeah Risa Kasumi probably never knew Uruha Mizuki, Airi Kijima or Anna Anjo since she was gone by then, but honestly I would have asked about Shou Nishino/Megumi Tanaka if she knew anything about her. But we all know this "Akiko" girl will probably say who the hell are those girls but whatevs.

Never mess with a Muscats fan!!

But to be honest...Ms. Nishino has my attention right now

^ I wouldn't read too much into it. It's using porn/model photoshoots as a means of prostitution marketing. Happens all the time, everywhere.  Just a funny coincidence that they use Risa's picture to advertise someone called Akiko.

I see a lot of that used in the back ads of latin magazines.  I've seen aria giovanni and sunny leone used as hot single latinas ready to talk on the phone.  funny thing, both aren't anything latina.
also I know I've seen Momoko Tsugunaga's pic used at the japanesebeauties site and it's not her AV counterfeit.

I don't know but this might have been shared before, just want to bring old memories of Muscats out of their own studio :D

That's great to see some former Muscats have career out of gravure and AV  :twothumbs
I hope Mui and Through Skills will make their way to be the top idol group. :D

Hey guys. Been a little while since I was last here. Honestly, I was feeling my interest in the Muscats starting to wane a little :( I'm a fan of the show, first and foremost and sadly the members' post-Muscats work hasn't grabbed me in the same way that OneMasu did. Sorry, but pachinko just isn't fun to watch.  But I found some stuff on youtube to reignite my OneMasu love a little bit.

This is an extra from the 'Onegai Muscat' compilation DVDs that were released several years ago. I've been looking for these forever, and it's great to see that someone finally posted them. These DVDs are a few years old but I'm just now starting to see them online - makes me wonder if the copyright holders are a little more lax these days now that the show is gone. Anyway, I love this kind of behind-the-scenes talk and I think this particular video is pretty great:

A general translation: The topic is 'If you had to kick off (sorry, "graduate") a member, who would it be?"

You can see, most of the members chose Rio, but it's out of respect, rather than dislike. Aoi expresses this in a competitive way, saying that when OneMasu first started, she saw Rio was on the show and instantly felt like she was going to lose to her. At the time, she felt like she would have had an easier time if only 'that girl' wasn't there, though of course she now feels that Rio is really important to the show. Acky and Sayama would graduate her because she's too good and graduating would give her the opportunity to 'step up' to bigger and better things. And Nishino sees her as something like a coach/leader and would graduate her as a kind of 'hall of fame' gesture (Aoi thinks Nishino might actually be talking about her).

Kasumi picks Kawamura Rika because of her tendency to blab personal stuff about the members during tapings. She'll bring up details of personal conversations on the show if she feels like it'll get a laugh, the apologize afterwards. I saw her mention on a different show that because she doesn't drink, she'll just sit back and absorb what happens when everyone else is drunk,  then write it all down for future reference when she gets home. The only recourse is to throw it back at her, like the Viagra story during Risa and Rika's 'Argument King' segment.

Ando chooses Konan for pretty much the same reason the other members picked Rio - she feels like she can't beat her.

And Acky drew two names out of the stack, the second being Nishino. She never gets to say exactly why, but you can infer that maybe she's a little creeped out? She starts out by saying that they'd worked together previously and that she liked and respected her before the show started. But one day, they happened to be sitting next to each other when Acky glanced to her side and saw that Nishino had an Acky screensaver on her phone (I loved how they used to play up Nishino's Acky obsession on 'Onegai' , but they abandoned it for some reason once they renamed the show) Anyway, at that point it's pretty clear who they're talking about, but when Acky inadvertently mentions Nishino by name, they all decide to end the segment.

Anyway, this is the second part of a longer segment. Here's the first part.

Check out the youtube user 'tooru nakamura' for more rips from the compilation DVDs and a nice trip down memory lane. But hurry in case the videos get pulled down.

Maybe, that's because you (and I too) don't watch EbiMasu frequently like the old time when EbiMasu hasn't been disbanded yet :D. We used to watch their OneMasu weekly but now, almost nothing.
This 'tooru nakamura' user, sure have some collections :D. Or check the user named 'pyuginys' who also has collections about EbiMasu.

By the way, new video

(only) Rio's graduation moment. Looks like this is a part of the last-released DVD.

Yuma-chin recently guested on a Satellite TV show called 'Bazooka' along with Aoi. The theme is 'Ganbare! Asami Yuma' and she talks about her recent ordeal and receives encouragement from showbiz fans and coworkers, as well as a performance by Kishidan. I haven't watched the whole thing yet, but there are apparently parts where the person recording the show hit 'mute', for whatever reason. If it's blocked for you, there's a Chrome extension called  "Unblock Youku' that will get you through.

BAZOOKA 麻美ゆま 一部ミュート—在线播放—优酷网,视频高清在线观看

The thing I found the most interesting is the contrast between this and the other show that covered her a couple months ago … The other show was on regular TV and shied away from any references to AV; referring to her as an 'idol' and kind of implying that the Ebisu Muscats was her main gig. It's almost like the producers felt that 'normal people' would shut off their sympathy for her once they found out that she did porn (which is probably true of a lot of people). This one being a satellite show, it goes all in with presenting her as an AV star. At the beginning, comedian/wrestler Razor Ramon RG talks about how he squeezed one off to one of her videos to calm himself down before a big match

Thanks illnerdism! You just keep bringing the goods for us here and we appreciate all of it!

Shura posted this in the postwhoring thread and thought it would be good to share. Good to see Mui again and in her usual high spirits. New JPop unit? You can see the artist who made the Ebisu Muscat caricatures is still in demand.

Speaking of Samii - she recently made an appearance as a guest panelist on Odoru! Sanma Goten, where she shared her special brand of awkward baka-ness

踊る!さんま御殿!! - 13.09.03—在线播放—优酷网,视频高清在线观看

The show is about hour long and it's pretty much just people sitting and telling amusing anecdotes, so it's probably not going to be too entertaining of a watch if you don't understand Japanese. The theme is 'Worried parents of daughters vs. Current-era girls" There are a lot of panelists, so Samii doesn't get a whole lot of screen time. But here's a quick rundown of some of the interesting bits:

-She's really awkward right off the bat. She responds to Sanma's "Good Afternoon" with "Good Evening", she tries to force her catchphrase through when she's asked for her age. When asked again for her age, she gets confused and asks if he wants her name *sigh*

-When the conversation turns to relationships, she claims to have never been in a romantic relationship. She attributes it to her mother and younger brother bringing new boyfriends/girlfriends home all the time. She couldn't be around it any longer which is why she left home and has a distaste for relationships. Nobody believes her ;)

-On girls' relationships with their fathers: Her own father passed away at 38 but their conversations mostly consisted of him saying, "I'm gonna play baseball" or "I'm gonna play tennis" and he's the reason she got into tennis. The confusion occurs when she says that her father was a professional coach. At first everyone thinks that she's saying her dad was a professional tennis coach, but she corrects them, saying that he was a professional 'grass-lot baseball' coach, which draws huge laughter. I don't know anything about Japan's baseball scene but judging by everyone's reactions, I'm guessing that "PRO" grass-lot baseball coaches don't exist because the sport is basically rec league baseball. And on weekends, he went gambling

-On curfews: She actually has to set curfews for her mother

This appearance is significant because I think she's the first ex-Muscat to make it to a prime-time TV show. The Muscats as a group appeared on Mechaike a couple times (I think it's partly because the shows shared some staff, as well as Okubo-san), but there was always a joke/comment questioning whether it was OK to have them on during prime time. On twitter, Saemi said that her blog reached 50,000 hits, so I hope this means her profile is rising and she gets to do more high profile work in the future.

お疲れさみー!
