What does happen to ex-AV/gravure idols when the hang up the lingerie and retire?

Seems hard to believe they just become suburban soccer mums.

Although, I suppose that does happen to some of them.

If you think about it, quite a few girls appeared on the Muscats' set over the years.

I've never counted them all...30 or 40 I guess.

Like Sayoko Ohashi and Uruha, most of them have 'retired'.

Where do they go? What do they do?

I know one thing for sure, the turn over in the AV/gravure business is huge.

Girls come and go at an amazing rate. Some do a 'debut DVD' and are never seen again.

Some retired AV idols end up working in the red-light districts for a living, but most just drop their stage names and go back to their real names and never be heard again.
There are so many different AV actresses debuting every months and so many different releases a month, that unless one is super famous like Sora, Acky or Rio, most people won't recognize them on the street.
Also, with the magic of makeup, a girl can look completely different with and without it.

Yeah, ikari456, I read a thing on the 'japantoday.com' about what happens to ex-AV actresses.

But the article didn't give any real examples.

It mentioned that some end up working in soaplands or as 'escourts'.

The article said that there were 6,000 newcomers, in AV, every year!

Wow, there must be an awful lot of ex-AV actresses out there.

I believe Maria Ozawa was a notable one who just moved to Thailand or something and now works in gentleman's clubs.

Admidst the ALS Ice Bucket challenge videos out there, the Muscat's very own Ai Sayama also got involved! Speaking English too! Split into 3 parts because it's Instagram, but worth it because it's pretty damn cute.

I ordered this magazine, but won't be getting it for another couple of weeks since I am waiting for other items to be released and do a bulk shipping to save money, can't wait to see the actual spread.

I bought the two previous magazine that she was featured with bike and cars before.

Wow! That's pretty awesome. I wonder who challenged her (or if she decided to just do it for the good cause). I think a more fitting challenge would be to sit under that waterfall used in some of the variety shows. All in all, good English and a reaction to match.

Those auto mags remind me of the of the days where my brother and I were into Import Tuner and Super Street. I almost can imagine Big C creepin on these lovely ladies somewhere in Japan.
