IDK if some one would agree me on this, but Yuma said on their press con for their final Asian Tour (Singapore...but I was hoping for the Philippines....    ) that their disbandment is because of their "teacher's decision" while they are in their peak.

IDK who is the "teacher" Yuma spoke of...But I think it is Maccoi...

Hokuto Corporation (DMM.com) is NOT a AV production company (it does not make JAV).

It is a distribution company. It distributes the DVDs to stores all over Japan (and online via DMM.com).

AV production companies (e.g. S1, Moodyz, IdeaPocket, PREMIUM, etc.) make the DVDs.

Production companies have a business agreement with Hokuto to distribute the DVDs they make.

AV stars (eg. Yuma, Sora, RIO, etc.) have a contract with a production company (who have an agreement with Hokuto).

Indirectly, the JAV actresses work for Hokuto Corp.

Ebimasu was made by TV Tokyo. The program was sponsored by DMM.com.

DMM.com paid money to TV Tokyo to make Ebimasu.

I did some research about how much it costs to make a program like Ebimasu.

In the US, 30 minutes of TV costs between $350,000 to $500,000 to make.

Probably, Ebimasu cost a lot less than that...say, $150,000 per episode.

That's $600,000 per month! DMM spent that money because Ebimasu helped them sell more DVDs.

In 2008 (when Ebimasu started), Hokuto's business was very good.

By 2013, Hokuto wasn't doing so good, and Ebimasu's big names were retiring or heading towards retirement.

Ebimasu - TV Tokyo - DMM.com decided to end the program for business reasons.

So it really was a business decision to end the Muscats (as opposed to suddenly disbanding at the peak).  I guess a brief summary of all this info might be worth adding to one of the wikis out there.  Also, that explains why they had the DMM.com commercials during each episode.

Thanks for saying that, TeriyakiBoi; but a lot of what I wrote is just speculation based on the information available (here and other places). I don't know for sure how much an episode of Ebimasu costs to make. Or who made the final decision to finish the program. But, I'd be pretty sure it was done for business/financial reasons. Also, I'm pretty sure it wasn't the girls who decided to pull the plug...I mean, why would they? Ebimasu was a great way for them to promote their careers. They got to sing, dance, do comedy skits, and do live shows in foreign countries. I'm sure some Muscats would have been very happy for Ebimasu to continue. Ultimately, it wasn't their decision to make. Perhaps, if TV Tokyo could have found a new sponsor...but what company is going to sponsor a TV show full of JAV stars? If I was as rich as Bill Gates, I'd be on the phone to TV Tokyo in a heartbeat.  :thumbsup

BTW, DMM.com commercials are the ONLY commercials shown during Ebimasu.

When I lived in japan, I went to pachinko parlours a few times. I never played pachinko - gambling is not one of my vices.

The noise level inside a big pachinko parlour is incredible. A big one might have 100 or 200 machines (all going at full volume).

Most of the players are middle aged, or older, dudes. The smoke a lot! So, those places always stink of stale cigarette smoke.
I know the feeling... I never enjoyed those pachinko games really, mostly because the reasons you stated. They are sooo noisy!

That really inviting smile though...
Yui has a lovely smile. And she keeps smiling pretty much the whole day! I remember when Maccoi said she would be a good mother in the future.

Ok guys. I finally got the chance to make another little trip to Japan (I arrived a couple of days ago) and this time I was able to assist to one of AiLi's live concerts! :twothumbs
Actually it was a two woman concert. She shared the stage with a girl named Hiiragi Rio. Again, photos were not allowed  but the staff took a picture of her with along some of the fans (me included) and published it in her blog :) http://ameblo.jp/airi-nagasaku/entry-11987073777.html
I took the chance to buy her CD and DVD. Can't wait to play them!

Anyway. It was a nice experience and I wanted to share it with you guys!

Nice, congratulations on making it to AiLi's concert!! It must be like dream come true. She even mentioned about you on twitter.
The photo you shared kind of gave your name away  XD

Will you be meeting any other members on your trip? Enjoy the rest of your trip in Japan.

Thank you. Indeed it was like a dream :inlove: She was actually very surprised to see a fan from Argentina. Again, everyone at the concert was very nice and polite to me  :)

Well, I went to the Asobit City hoping to see a Muscat doing a DVD Release Event but had no luck... Guess I'll have to check their blogs. I still have a week left in Japan so it would be nice to meet AiLi again or any other member.

AiLi has another performance on the 12th in Roppongi along with many other artists, details here https://tiget.net/events/1101
Hopefully you will get to meet her again or other members.

Heads up, Jessica and Airi did a Playboy photoshoot together and oh man  Mods, I figured it was ok to post the photoshoot here considering nothing explicit is shown, but if it's taken down I understand.
