I guess I didn't really read what Kishi said "between the lines" and for that, I apologize.

I also didn't know that some of them didn't like the Revamp Plan. I guess I only read the positive ones too much. *sigh*

Thanks for that information, ikari456. What you wrote sounds right, to me.

It would be good to have some familiar faces in Ebimasu II, but - by the sounds of it - it isn't gonna happen.

Like I wrote before, I'm not against the idea of new members.

To be honest, my interest in Ebimasu was starting to wane.

I'm not really interested in Nishino's DJing career. Or Yuma's singing career.

I'm one of those Ebimasu fans who will take the wait and see approach.

I'm just happy that Ebimasu is coming back.

As for  me, like I always say, I know muscats for a year now. In fact, I kinda envy you guys because you have more things Muscats than me. Some of you are starting to wane, like sir Tetsujin.

I kinda agree to what Kishi said....but for me, she is really rallying the Muscats til the end. Even if she is against the idea, she is supporting it.

Yes, the good old days of Sola, Yuma, and the others, are gone...and yes, they are moving on.

But, knowing them for a year as a JPop unit is kinda good enough for me. Yet, I wanted to meet them...the old Muscats, I mean. Not now...but in the near future(might working in Japan after graduating college as a translator or a researcher or a journalist).

And yes, I am also one of those people that begging for them to come back...but I guess that time isn't now for a while.

I am happy that the ride leaves on. That the Muscat spirit lives on.

Besides, I am just a simple fan, dreaming to go to their live events, buy their CDs....

I am sorry for these kinds of posts that I am posting here, guys. :)

   there's a bit of agreement in your comment. There's not much new activity coming from the EbiMasu girls so getting excited is rare. Of course, I still watch the PVs, watch the episodes online, but the major reason why I stay dedicated to EbiMasu must be because of this thread.  :twothumbs :twothumbs :twothumbs :twothumbs
I only hope they recruit some known faces from the gravure and AV world.

Hey, Kei, you having nothing to be sorry for.

You wanted Ebimasu 1 to get back together, so you could enjoy what you missed first time around. That's understandable.

I joined this thread just about the time Ebimasu 1 ended...think how pissed off I was.

I'd give anything to see Kasumi Risa do one more 'Cider Queen', or Minori bitch-slap someone, or Acky do one more 'Kawaii Koushien'.

But, it's not gonna happen.

I think about this way, every Ebimasi 1 member was a new member once. If Ebimasu 1 had stayed exactly the same from the first episode onwards there would have been no Jessica, no Haruka, no Kaho, no Yuria, etc. Old members left and new members arrived.

Speaking of the old members didn't like the new members(or in the revamp plan's case...old members didn't like the plan)...remember those episodes where the members are almost pissed off every time a new member or new members come to the show...?

Time for a bit of a throwback....Onedari DX Ep. 26 aka "The Arrival of the 6th" (well, I guess this is your fave "new member introduction" episode...or is it the Black Muscat Invasion?)

I guess I am just too emotionally invested in the original Muscats members that I just can't bring myself to support the new group.
I know it is kind of an extreme comparison, but just imagine if 4 guys show up and proclaim themselves as The Beatles (or any other band you like), I doubt any Beatles fans will accept them with open arms nor welcome the idea.

But, to each their own, I hope you guys will enjoy the New Muscats and I wish them success.

Especially during the first ep. of Onedari DX....the OG Members almost treat Sola and the company (Nagasaku, Yamaguchi, Kawamura E., and Ogura) like "unknowns"

And oh, one fact: Rina started the Purukawa persona on that episode...where she imitated the voice mannerism of the Pretty Cure characters...

I don't know why but Rina's voice, if trained well, is suited for a seiyuu. I mean, she did a Rei Ayanami monomane...well.

Sexy idol group Ebisu Muscats to return with a second term
July 2, 2015

Sexy idol group Ebisu Muscats will be making a return!

On July 2, Ogiyahagi's Yahagi Ken and Ogi Hiroaki, Oasiz's Okubo Kayoko, and actress Kishi Aino attended a press conference for the auditions for 'The Second Ebisu Muscats'.

The first Ebisu Muscats that disbanded in April of 2013 was comprised of sexy actresses. This time, anybody from ages 18 to 30 who have confidence in their sex appeal are eligible to audition. The new group will begin their activities aiming for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. They expect to announce the members and the group name sometime in October. They will then release their first single in November and hold their first live in December.

Kishi, who served as the third leader of Ebisu Muscats, revealed that none of the members from the original group will be joining the new group. "I would like someone who seriously wants to inherit the soul of Muscats to audition. I don't think I can cheer them on right away," she honestly confessed.

The first Ebisu Muscats made their debut in 2010 with the single "Banana Mango High School". After releasing a total of 9 singles and 2 albums, the group disbanded in 2013 while at the peak of their popularity.

I think the better thing to do would have been to keep the Ebisu Muscats core intact and gradually introduce new members to take over the reigns. I mean, groups like AKB48 are doing this. Even though members such as Shinoda Mariko, Maeda Atsuko, and Oshima Yuko are gone, new members, such as Kojima Mako and Mukaichi Mion, are filling the void (or at least trying to) in the process. If that did happen, not only would there be a connection between the old school Muscats fans (aka us) with some of the members, but we would grow fond of new members as some of the others graduate. I mean, AKB48 still as Watanabe Mayu and Kojima Haruna on the roster and they've been on AKB48 for what seems like forever, and they can not only make themselves look good, but can guide the new generation of members to great things should they graduate. The Muscats should have done this.

There are so many Muscats who are young enough to continue their career as Muscats, such as Kishi Aino, Shinohara Saemi, Mizuki Uruha, and the most "idol-y" of all of them, Rukawa Rina. Now that we know NONE of them are returning, it may take time for all of us to find a new favorite member because we have ties to the ones who graduated. I don't know if anybody on the new Muscats roster will replace what Rukawa Rina was able to do, but we'll see. I'd say the only one would possibly be Sakura Yura.

If she doesn't make the roster we don't have an "idol-y" AV actress. She worked with Sakuragi Rin for god's sake! That should be a lock right there.

The real news comes July 20 when we find out who makes the roster in the first place. Crossing my fingers for Sakura Yura!! :twothumbs

Exactly my sentiments. Still, if that is the decision of the majority of the OG members (they they are going to move on and/or supporting the new members in the sidelines), then, I think we will accept it.

But, if some OG members wanted to part of the Revamp Plan, that would be better.

Kijima, although she has more exposure in MPG, for me, her period of  stay in Muscats ISN'T enough...

Ebisu Muscats returning?! YAY!

None of the original cast returning? Oh.

I assume the setup is the same where AV actresses from S1, Ideapocket, Moodyz and all are the prime candidates? I can only think of a few new ones who would be great to see more of (Kana Yume and JULIA) but most of my other favourites have already been in Muscats already. Well, it will be nice exposure to see more new faces I guess, but it would have been nice for people to return as well and make the transition easier.

I suppose, in the end, the market will decide whether excluding Ebimasu 1 girls from Ebimasu 2 was a good idea, or not.

If it is a bad idea, it won't get an audience, and it will crash and burn.

It it gets an audience, then it will survive.

I'll be interested to see what the auditions turn up.

I am sure DMM has already prepared a lineup full of famous young AV stars, who already has strong fan base. I doubt they would have been confident enough to release a CD right away without having a popular group of AV stars.

I believe the fan base for New Muscats will be made up of 80% new fans (fans of new girls) and 20% old Muscats fans.
