Takahashi Minami returns from hospitalization; Minegishi Minami substitutes for rakugo; No Sleeves' tearful release event
Takahashi Minami returned from her 2 day hospitalization (due to poor physical condition) on No Sleeves' "Kimi Shika" event, held on the 3rd of August. It is a custom of No Sleeves' to have a challenge for a release event, but that plan was reluctantly abandoned. However, Minegishi Minami substituted and carried it out instead. Takahashi Minami conceded that she had no knowledge of it, before bursting into tears. After which, Minegishi started crying as well.
For No Sleeves events, together with owarai duo Bad Boys (who co-star in AKBINGO on Nihon Terebi), the trio try out various challenges. For no3b's 3rd single in November last year, Minegishi Minami did a backflip, while in April (for the 4th single) Kojima Haruna did a tablecloth pulling challenge. They became excellent success stories. As for Takahashi Minami, a plan was in place for a rakugo performance under the guidance of Shinpuu Teikoasa.
"This time, I have been forced to retire from this rakugo challenge. I was hospitalised for 2 days, and was not able to reach a level of my satisfaction to present to everyone." were Takahashi Minami's words as she greeted the crowd. However, Minegishi Minami replied with "Unfortunately, this time Takamina had to retire. However, carrying that burden, this time, I will do the rakugo performance." After hearing that, Takahashi declared her ignorance of what had just transpired, saying "I really didn't know...", as she fought back the tears. Kimi Shika will debut on the 4th of August.
That brought a tear to my eye.
Miichan is so cool. I'd hoped to see Takamina doing rakugo, but her health is most important. Recover well, Takamina! I'll wait for the next performance!
