Officer accidentally shoots himself while investigating drive-by

A Houston police officer was recovering after accidentally shooting himself Saturday morning in southwest Houston.

HPD officials said the officer was responding to an apparent drive-by shooting at Rosebriar and Rieden around 7:30 a.m. when the incident occurred.
