Whoops, I forgot to update last night. Bad me!

Here's a double chapter to make up for it.
Chapter 3 : C'est la vie
“So.” Jun asked Reina several days later, “How did telling Niigaki-san’s parents go?”
The yankii scoffed, “Better than telling my mom. Neither of them screamed, threw anything or took a swing at her. In fact, her sister even gave me a hug and her dad had The Talk with me. He’s pretty scary for such a placid guy.”
The Chinese girl laughed at her expression, “So, are you guys going to tell the others tonight? Is that why you invited us all out to dinner?”
“Yes and I’m counting on you and Ai to give us back up if needed, in fact, Risa’s probably having a similar conversation with her right now.” They glanced across the room to see the two in question with their heads bent together, seeming to have a serious discussion. They were quite close together, actually, something that Reina noticed right away. The two friends leaned backwards finally and grinned at each other, Ai reaching out to take Risa’s hands in a supporting grip. They exchanged a few more words before they met in a friendly hug, Ai patting the younger girl on the head.
It took Jun’s restraining hand on her shoulder for Reina to realized that she’d been halfway out of her seat, jealousy burning in her gaze, “Woah, there tiger. Calm down, it’s just Ai-chan.” She laughed, keeping the yankii still with her grip, “You must really love her if you’re tempted to go clobber sweet Ai-chan for getting too close.” Reina just nodded in agreement.
Chapter 4: Carpe diem
Later in the evening, after a filling meal in the VIP rooms at one of their mutual favorite restaurants, the musume girls sat back and laughed and conversed together, relaxing after a hard day at practice. Reina tried her best to concentrate on the words of Aika, next to her, but found herself distracted by the tight grip Risa, on her other side, had on her arm. Unable to help herself, she turned her full attention to her lover, seeing her sharing an intense look with Ai across the table.
She knew that they shared a peculiar relationship, close to the point of not needing words to communicate and always knowing what the other was thinking, but still without an even remotely sexual element. Still, she couldn’t help but be jealous of their closeness, that was just how she was. She watched Risa tilt her head to the side and Ai responded with raised eyebrows. When Risa nodded, Ai smiled encouragingly and stood up, instantly gaining everyone’s attention.
“Gaki-san, was there a reason you invited us all out to dinner tonight?” she asked theatrically, before sitting down to Risa’s grateful gaze.
The bean took her cue, standing and pulling Reina up with her, “Actually, there’s something very important we have to tell everyone.” She took in a shaky breath and Reina squeezed her hand in support, “Reina and I are dating.” Risa blurted, eliciting a few gasps around the table. Everyone was silent for a moment and the yankii pulled her lover a little closer to her.
Finally, after a long silence, Sayu grinned and turned to Eri, holding out her hand. “Man.” The turtle complained, digging in her pocket for some bills to place into the open palm, “You’re always right.”
“About time, guys.” The satisfied bunny smirked, “The only thing I couldn’t figure out was how long you two have been going out.”
“You knew!?” Reina exclaimed, earning herself a flat look from her fellow rokkie, “You knew and you bet on it?”
“Please, did you think you two could hide something like that from someone you’re both close to? And of course I made a bet! When I told Eri, here, she didn’t believe me.” She pointed to the sulking turtle.
“She even guessed you would announce it tonight.” Eri grumbled for a few seconds longer before smiling brightly, “But really, I’m happy for you guys” Her acceptance sparked a round of nodding and murmured agreements from around the table. The couple sat back down in relief, assaulted on either side by questions which they were happy to answer.
