@rndmnwierd: lol not a GakiKame fan myself, but I still love all of MoMusu so...

@fallenxangel: yup~ I don't like killing off my characters, unless they're dead before the story even starts

@aussie: Yeah, I thought it would be refreshing too but it looks like i might stick with the same couples...

@Haruka: lol I love Jun, I couldn't kill her

@kano-chan: yay~~~ I'm glad you think my fic is good, that means a lot to me~

@xanimefreak13x: YO I missed you

I keep on trying to avoid the Kdrama road, but I like drama in general... can't help it

@Haruka: I know, right?

@sapphire: rly?? I feel like I focused on TanaKame much more than I planned for in this fic... maybe it's cuz TakaGaki came second?

So I like the responses i'm getting~~ things are getting pretty exiciting, aren't they?

I thought that it would be nice to write about a new couple, but it looks like I may stick with the same pairings...

Maybe it's because I'm the author so you guys wanna hear another story about the same pairings? Or maybe it's because everybody reading this is a TakaGaki/TanaKame fan, so everybody's voting for them

anyway, poll closes on monday, but i might make my decision on sunday... you know you guys can vote twice, right?

Chapter 93 “Are you kidding me?” Reina growled. “I’m not singing any of this!”
The yankii threw down the pile of scores on the table and crossed her arms across her chest. Risa laughed as she set the music sheets into a neat stack again.
“Why not?” the bean grinned. “I think you would sing these songs wonderfully.”
“I’m not doubting my singing abilities, Gaki, you know that,” Reina shot back. “You’re doing this on purpose, aren’t you?”
“Am I?” Risa asked, making a mock gasp.
“I hate you.”
“Saying that to me is saying it to your girlfriend,” Risa smirked. “That’s right~ Kameha and I are just that close.”
“Good job, that just made me hate you even more,” the yankii said, putting on a fake smile.
Risa grinned as she watched the yankii idol puff up her cheeks and glare down at the table. Today was the day for High-Queen to plan their coupling solo songs with their song writer for the next single. Risa had picked out a couple pieces for Reina that was completely unsuited for the tough yankii, with soft and girly lyrics. The young singer was obviously frustrated by that.
“Reina, I picked these songs out for you for a good reason,” Risa explained.
“Try me,” the younger girl scoffed, rolling her eyes.
“Look closely at the lyrics of these songs: they’re all about love, isn’t it? I think it really shows the cute and sweet side of a girl’s love.”
“… You know that doesn’t convince me one bit,” Reina muttered.
“I’m not finished,” Risa said, rolling her eyes. “The only time you lose your cold image is in front of Eri. Don’t try to deny it; you know I’m right. As much as you show your warm side to her, there still are certain things that you wouldn’t say to her even though it’s how you feel… Are you getting my drift?”
“Like… mushy stuff?” Reina asked, wrinkling her nose.
“Yeah: cheesy, corny, whatever,” Risa grinned. “But they’re all still sweet and different words of love. Wouldn’t you like to say these kinds of things to Kameha for once? It would make her pretty happy…” Reina didn’t answer. “I’ll take that as a yes. So here’s my solution: I say sing what you can’t say.”
“Sing what I can’t say?”
“Exactly. These lyrics are exclusively written this way for you to express your feelings for Eri. You would never be able to say these things to her directly; so I want you to sing it out. Music is a way of communication, you know.”
“I know…” Reina mumbled, slowly getting convinced by the bean.
She started to slowly flip through the pile of scores again. Could she truly pull of such songs? All these ballads and happy songs… If it’s for Eri, could she sing it? Finally deciding on her choice, the yankii bravely pulled out one score and separated it from the rest.
“This one,” she said. “I want to sing this one.”
“Really?” Risa questioned, raising an eyebrow. “You… really want to sing this one?”
“Is there a problem?”
“No, no problem, it’s just that… this song is the girliest piece I brought.”
“So?” Reina muttered, blushing a little. “I like challenging myself.”
“… You’re really getting into this, aren’t you?” Risa smirked, pulling the score to herself. “Quite daring, Reina.”
“Whatever. We’re done now, right?”
“Yup,” the bean nodded, packing the stack of scores away in her bag and pulling out another batch. “Send in Ai-chan for me.”
“Already present,” a chuckling voice said.
Risa turned her chair around to see the High-Queen leader standing in the doorway. Reina walked past her out of the room but something made her stop.
“I think you’re pretty daring too, Reina,” Ai smirked. “I’ll be looking forward to this girly song.”
“Shut up,” the yankii growled.
The older idol laughed to herself as she closed the door behind her and sat down next to the bean. Risa frowned at her.
“You can’t tease her like that,” she scolded. “You weren’t even supposed to be listening.”
“I was just trying to make sure she didn’t make a move on my girl,” Ai said innocently.
“Me and Reina?” Risa scoffed. “Funny, Ai-chan, very funny.”
“I try.”
“So, let’s get down to business,” Risa said, pushing the pile of music to her girlfriend. “Take a look at these for a while.”
“Actually,” Ai grinned, pushing the stack of papers back, “I already have a solo song. Tsunku-san approved it too.”
“… You do?” the bean asked, confused. She didn’t remember giving the leader a song. “How come I don’t know anything about this?”
“Because I wrote it,” Ai announced proudly. “And I wanted to keep it a secret from you.”
“Really?” Risa exclaimed. “You wrote it? That’s amazing, Ai-chan! Let me see!”
“No way,” the leader shook her head. “It’s still a secret to
you. You’ll hear it at the Christmas live.”
“What?” Risa shrilled, frowning again. “So you’re keeping me in the dark about this until Christmas? The recording, the producing, and everything?”
“Yup!” Ai answered cheerfully. “I only want you to hear the best, and that will be after I complete the recording and get plenty of practice.”
“I don’t like the sound of this,” Risa muttered. “I thought I was part of the producing staff.”
“You are, sweetheart,” Ai cooed, putting an arm around the younger girl. “But hey, good things take time. Like us.”
“…Still corny, but sweet,” Risa grinned, snuggling a little closer to Ai’s chest.
“As long as you like it,” the older girl murmured.
“So we’re done now, right?” Risa said, backing away from her girlfriend. “Let’s get out of here.”
“No, stay,” Ai pouted, pulling the bean back down to her seat. “We still have another half an hour in this room… Let’s stay for a while.”
“What can we do in here?”
“I don’t know, talk?” The leader put one cheek on the table and gazed up at her girlfriend. “Or we could just stay like this.”
“With you staring up at me like that?” Risa asked, raising an eyebrow.
“Yeah,” Ai chuckled. “Or we could do something like this…”
The leader reached up and pushed her lover’s head down towards herself. Their lips met together as the warmth and the softness was transferred into each other’s mouths. Risa let out a quiet moan, enjoying the loving moment. Ai slowly lifted her head without breaking the kiss, and pulled her girlfriend’s waist closer to her. Risa got heaved out of her seat and landed on her girlfriend’s lap as Ai broke their lip-lock and buried her head in the younger girl’s shoulder. The bean smiled as she cuddled a little closer to her girlfriend’s beating heart.
“Can I ask you something?” Ai whispered.
“Mm?”
“Do you ever regret giving up on being a singer?”
“… There are certain days,” Risa answered quietly. “Sometimes, I dream of it all over again: being on stage, singing for other people, the never-ending applause… I do miss it. But I think I’m pretty happy right now, so I’m okay.”
“… Do you ever think about wanting to become a singer again?”
“I can’t; I get stage frights.”
“Disregarding that fact.”
“Well… I’m pretty content being a song writer,” Risa answered. “I still get to have a part in the music world, which I love. I don’t need to be a singer to truly know this kind of art, you know? Besides, if I didn’t change my career path back then, I may not have ever met you again.”
“I don’t know about that,” Ai contradicted. “I think you still would’ve been able to debut as a singer, and I would’ve chased you down one way or another.”
“Still, things could’ve been different,” Risa sighed. “But I’m happy like this… I’m happy with what I do, my friends, and you.” She craned her neck and gave her girlfriend a quick peck on the cheek.
“I guess that’s all that matters,” Ai smiled. “But I still miss your singing. The CD you sneaked into my bag before wasn’t exactly what I had in mind, though.”
“Sorry,” the bean mumbled.
“But it was still nice,” Ai chuckled. “I like hearing you sing.”
“I’ll sing some more for you another time,” Risa promised.
“Yeah…” the leader mumbled. “Another time…”
She heard her girlfriend laughing softly as she snuggled a little closer, if that was possible. Ai leaned on the bean’s head and sighed contently, thinking about the way she could make her wish come true.
“
Maybe… if I do that… Maybe…”
