Genkimono de Ikou! (元気者で行こう!) out 2010-09-15

The title for the c/w has also been revealed to be Ie (Uchi) e Kaerou! (Eng: Returning Home) which was the ending theme for Mano’s Kai-Ki: Tales of Terror movie.

Listening to the radio preview, I was starting to wota-out.

Mano Erina’s upcoming PV for her 8th single titled Genkimono de Ikou! will be directed by film director Yukihiko Tsutsumi according to a Sanspo article.

I feel a bit bad for Manoeri almost because whenever Akari is her backdancer I just look at Akari

I guess that's when I realized that she's my favourite H!P Egg

Glad they've started releasing pv's on UpFront's youtube channel again... I was starting to think I should un-subscribe!
Here is the full pv I think... (some scenes look like behind the scenes shots but I'm guessing they're meant to be in there~)

Is it me or is the family scene kinda weird with the wife riding on her husbands back like a horse.... OAO;;
I'm not sure how much I like this song, but it will probably grow on me~

AH, I love it! The song is so catchy and just fun all around. And Manoeri sounds really awesome.

The PV is a little clashy (Could've done with out RED BACKGROUND and hot pink skirts. What? LET THOSE OUTFITS POP, H!P!)

So I got curious about what was really happening and being said in the video, so I watched it a couple more times, pausing frequently.
Now it makes a lot more sense. Here's the first part:

"I, Mano Erina, became a PV director!"
(This is why you see her directing at the end.)

The 50-year-old section chief.
He's having problems getting through to his workers.

Genkimono and Genkimono-tamer.

And so, the story starts.
*whip cracks* "Ow."

The workers are talking bout non work-related random stuff.
"Hey... listen, you guys..."

"Section chief!"
The usurper speaks up...

...and starts going on about "intranet" and "infrastructure" and other blather.

The other workers are enthralled and...

...the chief is devastated.

But luckily...

he finds a bottle...
(Where'd it come from? I don't think even he knows!)

of Genkimono!
But what do you do with a mysterious bottle of energy drink that appears out of nowhere?

Drink it of course!

"So dizzy..."
...But maybe chugging it wasn't such a great idea?

*time stops*

"WHOA! They've stopped! WTF?!??!?!"

Enter Genkimono and Genkimono-tamer.
*whip cracks* "OWWWW"

She commands Genkimono to do his thing on the section chief.
"FIGHTING SPIRIT!"
"??"

"Don't lose to yourself!"
The chief has some trouble getting going so...

*SLAP!*

A couple more slaps later...

"YEAH!"
I think he got it.

...But WTF they're gone!
Time is back to normal.

Usurper dude's still going on about "infrastructure" and junk.
Can you see what's coming?

*BAM!*

The other employees are shocked at what their meek section chief has just done.

He chews them out for having no heart!

The women are in love...
"So manly! <3 <3 <3"
"My prince! <3 <3 <3"

...and so are the guys.
"I want to be hit! <3 <3"
"Aniki! <3 <3"
"Fall in rabu <3 <3"

VICTORY
"Section chief... <3"

But lurking out of sight are the Genkimono and Genkimono-tamer!

"Genki!"

I really like how upbeat the song is. (: And the PV is... Interesting, to say the least?

Thanks for the screen caps and translations, btw! It makes a lot more sense now.

The clips change so quickly. I'm not sure how anyone's supposed to read through all the bubbles without pausing. D:

love how is all crazy but specially what i find more amusing is that have extras on scene, you know, to tell the story and all that
