WHA!!! I'm gonna jump on the PS3 and download it now.
As of now, I haven't found it. Its on XBL, but I gotta have a gold membership to download it. I'm dying!

I've been waiting for this game so long. But looks like I have to wait a while to buy the game after its release. I can't take my PS3 to college, so no point in buying a game and having it lay around.

I downloaded the demo. Very nice!
I really liked how you could interact with the simplest things:faucets,the fridge, the toilet.

I liked the weapons as well. It took me a while to get my aim together. lol. I was slow.

I've heard of it. There is rumors that the PS3 demo is a older version but I'm skeptical.
If it is indeed worse, I'm not buying it anymore or like Bayonetta I'll wait until a big price drop, at least 50% less.

I really don't know what the marketing people of these games think, they must be blind or something. By letting this great difference the game gets such a bad rep even before released that surely will hurt sales. If anything these differences should show up when the game is released so many will have already bought it.

Anyway, I hope it's fixed and it's good.

Wow, I planned on getting it for the PS3, so that I could add to its library, but now I'm stumped.

But personally, I have no complaints with the PS3 version. I would download the demo for 360, but I don't have gold right now.

I tested the XB Version and played the PC Version, and Im not interested to test the PS3 Version too, I think I'll buy the PC version.
But I dont like it that I need Steam to run it

I ended up getting the game for the PS3.  In one day of play I was able to reach chapter 11.

The story is great, well written. The only thing I'm not liking about the game is the driving and the ways that some of the guns.

Spoiler: I liked how you were able to experience Vito's life in prison. The whole fight club scenario was fun.

Well, I couldn't bring my PS3 here to college, but I like the idea of going back home and having a new game waiting for me to play. Can't wait til November..

I have been looking forward to this game soooo much I found a tip that lets you play the pre-load but it feels like I'm probably doing something wrong even though I bought the game.

This is something I found elsewhere: If you want to play it today simply create a text file called steam_appid.txt, then type 50130 into it, and save it to steamapps\common\mafia ii\pc. You can then play using the Mafia2.exe file.

Doing this enables me to play my game but without the DLC that comes with the special edition until the 27th, but could I get banned for doing this, if so that is so screwed up but nonetheless I only tested to see if it works & it did (I only tweaked the video settings to what I found to be best that I used in the demo) I will leave it alone until hopefully a moderator can confirm it's ok for me to play my purchased game which I recieved this morning.

The release of Mafia II to the rest of the world will be Aug 27th at 12:00am GMT.


But there are still some files missing

Crime game Mafia II is getting its second downloadable add-on called Jimmy's Vendetta.

The DLC follows Jimmy, who is described as "the guy the other guys call when they need to finish the job". Jimmy cleans up the messes made in Empire Bay, and the game features 30 new quests that run the gamut of assassinations to car chases.

Jimmy's Vendetta also has online rankings where players can posts points scored with combos and multipliers.

Priced at $9.99/800 Microsoft Points, Jimmy's Vendetta will be released on the PlayStation Network, Xbox Live Arcade and PC on September 7.
