GENIE keeps on going... 11th this week in the charts. 83K sold now, at this rate it'll pass the 100K in no time. Especially with the expected synergy sales with the upcoming "Gee" single.

It'd be great if they were able to stay in the top 10 for the whole month, but this is great still. Only 10k something till 100.000! Hope they reach it soon.

Genie just got the Gold certificate from RIAJ (Recording Industry Association of Japan) for having reached 100k sales.

In its 10th week in the charts Genie ranked 37th having sold 2,271 copies. Last week was 28th and 3,190 sold. Total is now 106,712.

Huurrr just watched that streaming!

Yuri and Sica took over Fany's parts and Sica changed it to Music Station put it back on!

Man, that Japanese translator talked fast. I couldn't keep up. o.O But, the girls' Japanese did seem to improve, especially Seohyun's.

The short interview with Bekky at the beginning was about things that surprised them in Japan while doing their activities.
Sica mentioned no matter what time of day, even at night, Japanese people would greet with ohayo gozaimasu (good morning). [And it's true. lol They really do say ohayo when its not morning, especially for any group activity]
Yuri was talking about lunches and how it was amazing that everybody had a prepared lunch box for breakfast and lunch and dinner (?) in the waiting room(?). man that translator talked fast. I think i totally missed stuff. oh well.
Hyoyeon mentioned that the music station tissue box was strange. I believe she also mentioned she wanted to take it back to korea with her. lol

And now I sleep before my hands freezes off in this chilly weather.

Edit: Ah, my 2000th post. Kekeke...how appropriate it would go to SNSD.

Ok I found it, cool. I'm glad Taeyeon said something. She hides in the back so much lately sometimes I can't tell if she's there.

I do miss the Genie hairstyles.

No short red haired Yoona
No black haired Yuri
No blond Jessica

Also no Tiffany doing the power note or whatever, it's just not the same.

Saw this too.

One other thing I always wonder, why does Jessica have an accent when she does english in songs.

I mean she doesn't when she just speaks.

I don't know about accents, but isn't that weird? I usually see people's accents disappear when they sing.
Surprisingly, Sica's head tone isn't as good as Fany's. I thought since her voice is higher, she should be better at it.
