damn, I need to go to the cafe again someday. the problem is that it`s almost impossible for me to go on weekdays because of my work.

they didn`t hint nothing till now about a new member, right? guess they`ll announce in the one-man live in December.

I'm not implying anything by it, but it sounds like an Idoling song and not an Afilia song.

They're ditching their traditional niche sound to appeal to a wider mainstream audience? I hope not.

since no one posted about it yet...

Afilia has opened a new venue at Shinjuku, called "Afilia Asterisk". reading some reports, it's small and doesn't have much things to look for... aside the girls, of course. has a "clean" look, like the one in Ueno. Yukafin and Kurumi were moved to there, so the actual locations are:

Meiry, Louise, Kohime and Aria - Ikebukuro
Miku, Maho and Laura - Ueno
Ayami and Emiu - Roppongi
Yukafin and Kurumi - Shinjuku

Yeah, I thought about checking out Asterisk but the location is less convenient than the ones in Ikebukuro and Ueno. I always get lost in Shinjuku anyway.

I think Kurumi is a girl who pulls in big spenders. Most of the hardcore fans I've seen were Kurumi fans and I think they spend a lot of money at the cafes. In that sense it makes that she has been chosen for the new location. It should help to get it up and running. I assume the Ueno location sees plenty of business so they can afford to 'lose' Kurumi.

Asterisk website: http://www.afilia.jp/asterisk/ - It seems like it's more like Ueno's night club thing rather than Ikebukuro's Lunch/dinner establishment. I guess that would explain the member choices as well.

You can add Meena to the Ikebukuro location. Karen works in the Ueno one, but I have no idea if she still works there after her graduation.

Just watched Afilia Quest #25... What an insane show

It's so bad, that it almost qualifies as cult. Bad audio, barely any setting or plot...
The guy with the horse's head eating cookies through his nose...

It's pure fan service

I guess that is a good thing, because a show meant for main stream audiences would be boring.
Anybody felt that Kohime looked really old in this episode? I bet she's a Roseanne Bar character backstage, haha.

Aria still looks like she doesn't remember the lyrics and doesn't like to dance. I don't know, maybe it just looks awkward because she's quite tall?

Anyway, glad they have a show like this. It's really funny at times and it captures the girls' charm to some extent.

Sad news,

apparently, kuru~Chan is going to 'take a break' from ASE activities due to the hectic heavy schedules and health difficulties. There is no saying that its permanent, but she did say once she rest enough and find the courage, she will come back, no saying when thou. I hope this don't start becoming something of a pattern

Well not surprised this can happen again with other girls since they do have heavy schedules promoting ASE and working at their cafes... remembers the time where Emiu was promoting redbull everyday?... mmmm it was mentioned that Kurumi was like crying in that nicovideo where they talk about new single, maybe is related to this.

Also if she can't take a long break (like over 3 months) otherwise i rather want her to leave the group and focus in the cafe (or whatever she wants at the moment)... also, despite this unexpected news, i still wondering if they are going to announce new members for their net one man live... what do you think?
