This is the music of the first stage in God Hand as you beat up thugs, race to help someone get an antidote after a poisonous chihuahua bite, spank dominatrixes and suplex demons to get new fight techniques. It's a great game.

I have a thing for music around underwater stages in games. It's usually quite distinct and is either soothing and relaxing or something sinister hinting at the dangers of what lies beneath the surface. Metroid Prime has some of the best examples around, which I've already posted, but reaching this stage in Okami puts this song as one of my favourite themes from a game with an already great soundtrack. I spent more time in that stage than I should because of the music.

Watching the Metal Gear Solid playthrough on Giant Bomb and I forgot how good the boss music is. So perfect.

hnnnnggggg!

I don't know if it's nostalgia but I just eargazm from the sound of the original Metal Gear solid's music.

But the other games are great too. Here's some crunchy sounding bad ass presidential samurai sword fightin' on top of federal hall music. That dirty synth ohyea.

Playing Metroid Prime 3 for the first time and sure enough, the soundtrack is great, just like it was in the past two games

The final chapter theme of Fire Emblem: Awakening is absolutely perfect:

The whole soundtrack is great but that song in particular really gives me the feels

Nobuo Uematsu will probably always be my favorite video game composer. I like a lot of Yoko Kano's music she did for KOEI back in the day.

Assassins Creed Black Flag has a great collection of old sea shanties, Irish songs and Spanish songs in it's soundtrack. The sea shanties are always talked about in Black Flag but a special mention has to go to the songs that are played in the taverns should you visit them, as you'll only find them there. I guess this is cheating a little bit considering it's an already existing song, but this version of The Trooper and The Maid for Black Flag is foot stompingly fantastic.

Luftrausers has an interesting soundtrack. There's one theme you hear playing the game, but depending on what parts you use to make your ship, will alter it in some way. The de facto song is pretty good in itself.

Terra Battle, a free to play game on iOS and Android, has a great soundtrack. But what else would you expect when it's made by none other than Nobuo Uematsu?

Deadly Premonition is a very weird game. Wonderfully so. The soundtrack only adds to that feeling. Especially with this song, which if you're like me, will be humming at the most random times. Don't you agree Zach?

We all know some classic Nintendo songs from Mario, Zelda, Mega Man, Castlevania etc. Think how hard it is to play those on the piano. Harder still, imagine playing those for the first time after hearing it, by ear. This is what Player Piano did and it's insane. The Ducktales one is so good.
